    Szechuan Fried Rice

I decided to step in, very much a hole in the wall. I tried the Szechuan Fried Rice and it's pretty tasty.

Had lunch at this location yesterday. I like my food a little bit ( really hot! ) on the spicy side. They did a fantastic job with the Chicken 65! Perfectly seasoned and the rice was to die for! Highly addictive.

Found this place as I was passing thru the town. Ordered through their website for pickup and it was ready within 15 min. Food tasted good and order was made correctly. Decent price and portions.

    Chili Garlic Noodles (with Chicken)

Global Mall (off Jimmy Carter Blvd) caters to a "South Asian" clientele, and the food court is unapologetically ethnic. So we organized a small UYE (Unofficial Yelp Event) to discover this place among a few other very nice finds in that food court. Chinese Dhaba is delicious. At first I thought, "Why try a 'Chinese' place among these other great Indo-Pak offerings?" But I'm glad I did. We sampled many things that day. Staff was extremely friendly to me and my non-brown friends. They listened to us and made really good suggestions. I rather liked the Garlic Chili Noodles. This hot & spicy dish of thin noodles brought a symphonic medly of flavors to the palate. Yes, lots of garlic, and appropriately spicy. I'd go back just for that dish. In fact, I think I will. Holler if you're coming with.

    Chicken 65 to go

Came here with a friend of mine who told me about a few Indian restaurants I needed to check out in Global mall. One of those restaurants is Chinese Dhaba! Chinese Dhaba is pretty much a fusion of Chinese food with the spices of Indian food you're used to, and while that all sounded delicious, my go to bench mark of Indian to try is Chicken 65, so that's what I ordered! The Chicken 65 ($7.95) if you don't know are little chicken nuggets, red in color, slightly spicy with sliced onion and green bell pepper. The chicken had really great flavor, slightly crispy and an entire entree is enough to fill up most, even though it's basically an appetizer. Customer service was friendly and fast. They told me it'd take 10 minutes for my food to be ready but it was done in half the time. Nice! Located on the top floor of Global mall to the right of the escalators, it's hard to miss CD. There's a ton of seating, although it's shared between the restaurants. Pretty nice restaurant for a cool twist on both Chinese and Indian foods. Give it a shot if you're hanging out in Global Mall.

    Chinese food, Indian style

One of my co-workers (yes, he's Desi) keeps telling me to try the Chicken 65 at Chinese Dhaba. After several months of harassing me, I finally decided to go there. Chinese Dhaba has three locations in Georgia - Norcross, Duluth, & Decatur. Co-worker didn't care which location I try cause he says they're all good. Since the Norcross location is the closest to me, I decided to go there. It is located inside Global Mall off Jimmy Carter and I-85 in the food court on the top floor. Why is "Chinese" part of the name? Chinese Dhaba serves chinese food, Indian style. For example, you can order Kung Pao chicken but with Indian flavors. Of course, I had to order the famous Chicken 65, which is also my fave dish. My daughter ordered the Crispy Chili Paneer. The dish came with white rice. In addition, I ordered the samosa. I was a bit disappointed with the samosas cause it tasted like a veggie eggroll. I wanted Indian samosa lol. Chicken 65 was soooo yummy. It's crispy just the way I like with the right amount of spices. My only complaint would be instead of the green bell peppers, I would like to have jalepenos, I'm just so used to it being like that at other restaurants where I've ordered Chicken 65. Crispy Chili Paneer is really good too!! Veggie Indian dishes don't make you miss meat at all. Overall, great experience, I would go back. The menu is affordable and lots of variety. I'm glad I finally went there!

Just a heads-up: there's an automatic 18% gratuity, and if you're not paying close attention to the payment screen, you might accidentally tip on top of the gratuity. So double-check. Walking in, the layout is a little confusing -- open space and no clear signage on where to go. The hostess, who didn't speak much English, quickly asked if we wanted hot pot, Korean BBQ, or Chinese. We chose Chinese, but the interaction felt slightly awkward like she had to process what she just asked us. Pro tip: If you're here for Chinese, head to the right when you walk in. We weren't there during a busy time and ended up in a "VIP" booth, though I'm not sure what made it VIP... but I digress. Ordering was easy thanks to our server, but you'd think with robots delivering the food, the ordering system would be more seamless. Still, the food came out quickly. Here's what we tried: Scallion pancakes ($7.95): Good flavor, could've been cooked a little longer. Still enjoyed them. Braised combo ($15.95): Not for the faint of heart. Surprise ingredients included pig's ear, tripe, and (I think) intestines. Would've appreciated a menu description. Needed extra sauce to make it work, and most of it came home with me. Chef's special duck soup ($4.95): Just broth with a couple raisins. No meat. Kinda disappointed. Should've gone with the wonton soup ($2.95) like my fiancée -- easily the best I've ever had. Singapore chow mei fun ($15.95): Loaded with noodles and chicken (we compromised on chicken). Massive portion, really flavorful. White rice ($2): Standard. Xiao long bao: No photo because I dropped the first round -- soup dumpling explosion. They kindly remade it, but the second batch seemed rushed. Still good to me, but my fiancée wasn't impressed. The atmosphere was nice, the food overall was solid, and despite some bumps, I left full and happy. Not sure I'd call it award-winning service, but I'll definitely be back -- especially with another Groupon.

The whole setup is like a mini food hall with several authentic Chinese spots to choose from--but Chong Qing is where I landed. I ordered the crispy chicken with garlic sauce and swapped the white rice for a side of house lo mein (yes, it's an upcharge, but worth it). Everything came out on real dishes--not to-go boxes--which I loved. You order and pay at the counter, grab a seat, and they bring the food out to you. Now let's talk about the food... DELICIOUS. The spice level was just right--flavorful with a nice kick, but not overpowering. If you like it hotter, you can definitely add more heat, but I was perfectly satisfied as is. The lo mein was really good too--veggies were fresh with a nice crisp (those onions and carrots were hitting!), and everything tasted well-balanced. Only small note: I wish there was a little more meat in the dish, but it didn't take away from the overall experience. And let me say this--the portion size is VERY generous. I ate until I was full and still had just as much left to take home, which is always a win in my book. All in all, I'll definitely be back to try more. If you're in Chinatown Market and not sure what to pick, Chong Qing Hot Pot is a solid choice. 4/5 stars for me!

My only issue: inconsistent filling. I've been back for the dumplings specifically, and some days... they'd be rather light. It was quite disappointing to have a dumpling that's 70% wrapper, and I should've taken a pic honestly... but it still tasted good (oop). The other food options are pretty good too, except the curry, which I found ok at best. It was kind of bland in comparison to everything else I tasted. Not actually "Szechuan Spicy" as it states and the curry was a little thin. If something says mala though, believe it... to a degree. Not as tongue numbing as others I've had, but you can still feel it. OH! You have to pay for your rice though. It does not come with and is $2 for each bowl you want. Never before have I had to pay for steamed white rice, but ig it's a first for everything. Dining in here is a bit similar to ordering take away. You have to scan a QR for the table to place your order, which you pay for ahead of time, before your food is made and brought out to you. There isn't much service besides someone getting you a drink. I don't think it's really worth sitting down and eating there, and if you wanted food here, I would only truly recommend the dumplings like I was.
