This Chinese food was like being in Chicago. Who knew that I could get an authentic Chinese meal in the little town of Antioch. I had beef lo mein which was fantastic just the perfect amount of brown sauce complimented this. I also had wonton soup along with fried pot stickers and crab Rangoon. Ive ordered here before and the food is "ok". This last time it w horrendous. I ordered the broccoli beef with chicken fried rice, egg roll and crab rangoon. The beef was disgusting. It was undercooked, chewy and slimy. The chicken in the rice was also soft and chewy (think of gummy worm after being left in a hot car). Literally like a noodle consistency. It was awful. I've heard nothing but good things about the food here so we decided to try it. I don't know if we picked up our food on a bad night, but the food was terrible! The rice was crazy overcooked and bland. My husband and I both got beef dishes that were very bland and the beef itself was mush and an off white:gray color. After half a bite we decided to throw it out. My husband, who works in a kitchen, said we can't eat this unless we want to be sick. We tried to salvage the veggies and loaded them with sauce, but nothing worked. The only saving grace for 1 Star would be the crab Rangoon. Those were good. I picked up and there was only three people waiting ahead of me. I waited an additional 15 minutes for the order to be ready after the initial 30 minutes. Oh man...I would give zero stars if I could. It's So bad. And I feel bad saying that because I want all businesses to succeed but this food is BAD. The sweet and sour chicken is as generic as Chinese gets and it tasted like an old perfume from India. Disgusting. This place needs to change. They have the freshest shrimp, meat, and veggies around . And they give you a lot of food for the price. They offer almost any dish with tofu instead of meat if you ask. And the people who own it are extremely friendly. Ive had other tasty chinese in Antioch, yes. But never this consistently fresh and delicious. First time checking out this place. Very courteous and accommodating. Food is made to order, very fresh and piping hot. The portions are nice sized and the food was delicious. We went two days in a row because we were so pleasantly surprised. Having lived all over the country and trying many Asian restaurants this one is toward the top of the list! The food is priced right. Good quality and flavorful. The owners and their children are friendly and very willing to make special orders for us because of many allergies. Have never been disappointed yet and we have eaten in many Chinese establishments and eat here a couple times a month since they opened. Reality you cannot please everyone. I love there spring rolls, spicy garlic broccoli and veggie fried rice! There are tables and chairs perfect for four or two for dining in, or some side chairs to sit while you wait for your pick up. When they say 15 minutes they mean 15 minutes! The food is always fresh! Hot! And timely! They are located in the center of a small strip mall between Menards and Walmart. We walked in to order and there was a child (not even a teenager) behind the counter. We stood there waiting for anyone to help us and then finally realized the child was going to take our order. She had not been taught to acknowledge customers or how to converse in a business manner. I understand times are tough and perhaps the owner felt they would save money by having their child work but it was unprofessional and uncomfortable. Update: I really hate to take stars away, because the owner and their family are really nice, kind and genuine people. However, I have noticed a steady decline in the quality of food for several months now. In my last order of Orange Chicken, the broccoli was hard and was obviously frozen for sometime. The chicken itself was chewy and had very little actual meat on it. The sauce was passable, but nothing special. We also had an order of crab Rangoons, which were bland and almost tasteless. While I have not tried every item on the menu, I have tried a few and each one has dropped in quality over time. While this is in no way the worst Chinese place I've ever eaten at, I don't know if I can recommend it, especially with so many other choices around. read more

Not enough gravy and it taste like beef gravy out of a jar. Also to thick. Wonton was not fried enough. Chicken Mei Fun was 90% noodles and very little vegetables, chicken. It was greasey and had no flavor. Vegetable Lo Mein was 90% HUGE noodles and very little vegetables and flavor. Boneless Ribs were like shoe leather. This was not a memorable meal. Finally, I found a Chinese restaurant to my liking. This restaurant is pretty easy to miss, as it is a tiny restaurant, part of a strip mall, nestled between Menards and Walmart. There are other food joints around this location which definitely adds to the distraction. They do have tables set for dine-in but I would advise again dining in. I think they only have 3-4 tables and not much privacy from the constant traffic of customers coming in for their carry-out orders. My wife and I ordered Hunan chicken and Chicken Mei Fun to go, and once we got home, we were impressed with the quantity that we got. They are definitely NOT frugal with their servings! And once we started to eat, the taste and flavor all hit the right spots. We only had a 10 minute wait for them to get our order ready and they were extremely polite and helpful. We will definitely make a second trip soon, and explore their menu. Personally, I think their prices are on par (if not cheaper) with other Chinese restaurants in this area. read more

After moving here recently from Chicago we tried the different Chinese restaurants and have finally found this one which in my opinion beats any I have tried in Chicago or the area. The food is spot on with the kind of Chinese food I'm used to from growing up in New Jersey and the family staff are very friendly. The food is always ready for pickup within 10 minutes at a very reasonable price. I like how they have a little area where you can grab mustard and duck sauce yourself as we'll as pick up a few oolong tea bags which are yummy. Everything we've tried is good. This is my go to Chinese take out place in Antioch. The prices are cheap, the food is pretty good, and the people who own and run the place are very nice. It's a family run business. Mom and dad are usually cooking and running the registers. The kids are usually working on schoolwork at a table or sometimes running the register themselves. Got carry out from here for the first - and last - time today. Not good. Not even a little bit good. The wonton soup tasted like bouillon and the wontons themselves were thick and pasty. The sweet and sour chicken had nothing in it but chicken... That's it. No vegetables or pineapple or even a maraschino cherry in sight. The fried rice was just rice with molasses with, oddly, large pieces of undercooked white onion. No bean sprouts or eggs or, more importantly, FLAVOR. It was just an oily mess. The egg foo young was ALL egg - greasy, fried egg patties with more large onion chunks. The egg rolls - cabbage with a tiny shrimp piece in each one. And we got no soy sauce, hot mustard or sweet and sour sauce to try to make things better. Every bit of it - other than the unfortunate few bites we took - went right in the trash.
