This restaurant is in a terrible area. But damn, it is delicious. The food here is much better than ming toy in Waukegan, and should have more reviews/a higher rating. My Chinese grandma always asks for food from here for her birthday. It's special and I highly reccomend! Edit: they just gave us free eggrolls :,) read more

Our go to Chinese restaurant in the area. I always enjoy the boneless ribs combination with fried rice and an egg roll. The service is good and quick. The ambiance is a take out business. read more

Reported them to the Lake County Health Department. Tried one more time weeks later and haven't been back since. We started going to Lung Fung. It's the other end of Zion but worth the additional drive. read more

Solid meal overall. The only issue was that I received one incorrect item in my order, even though it was verbally confirmed when I arrived. I'd come back again, I'll just make sure to double-check the order before leaving next time. read more

A lot of food for your price of lunch special. Sweet and sour chicken is good. Crab Rangoon.

The food is yummy. Been going to this restaurant for several years. My favorite is the homestyle bean curd that comes with white rice. We always get veggie egg rolls. The service is fast. Usually takes them 10-15mins to complete the order. The restaurant could be in a better well lit area. Inside the restaurant is maybe two small tables, I assume most people just order take out. When you place your order in person at the window, they give you a menu for you to circle off, to minimize any mistakes. read more

Chang Jiang Chinese Kitchen - Mongolian Beef, Bean curd homestyle, fried rice, white rice - Chinese Near Me - Zion, Illinois

Chang Jiang Chinese Kitchen is a hidden gem in Lake County! I have been looking for a local Chinese restaurant and Chang Jiang had a delicious menu to choose from, friendly staff, and great prices! While they are not offering the option to dine in, they do have a quick and easy way to order. When walking in you'll be able to see the large menu on the wall and pickup a paper menu to mark what you'd like to order. When visiting they seemed quite busy with pick up orders but I did not have to wait long for my order to be ready. A nice perk is that you're able to customize your dish to be spicy or hot! If you're looking for a delicious and local Chinese restaurant, make sure to stop by! read more

The food is very good. Large Mongolian beef and chicken fried rice for less than $24.00. This place cannot be beat and never disappoints!!!

The food was horrible...I ordered multiple food choices and to treat my family something so disgusting is very uncalled for there was hair in the egg drop soup the pork wasn't done all the way the chicken was very nasty this is a waste of people's money... I also have pictures of it all read more

The best Chinese food to get in the Waukegan, Beach Park and Zion area. Many options, hot food and plentiful portions!

My favorite place for Chinese food. I frequently order the steak with onion combo, or just the pork fried rice. The texture and taste takes me back to Brooklyn NY, where the best Chinese food can be found! read more

This is our family's favorite Chinese food in the area. The staff are nice. Their food taste great and the prices are good. We usually get beef broccoli, Mongolian beef, Chow Mein, Lo Mein, Sour soup, Fried Chicken wings, fried rice, and also the best sesame balls for desert. I highly recommend this place if you like to eat real traditional Chinese food. read more

Best Chinese food I've ever had. The amount of food you get for the price is well worth it. The restaurant is clean and comfortable. The family who owns it is amazing, the customer service is the best too. There's only a 10 minute wait for most of the food and if you call ahead you never have to wait. They take care of their customers. Very affordable and highly recommended! read more

One of the best Chinese places in town! Looking for a quick pickup? Well this place will have it done for you in about 10 minutes.

My favorite Chinese place. Food is made fast and is always delicious. Been going here for years and it's never not been great

Decent little spot. 3 or 4 tables for sit down eating. The kitchen is visible right behind the counter. No frills kinds of place. They did prepare my food right in front of me after ordering. I had the chicken fried rice (small) it was a good sized portion. The chicken fried rice was good but not great. Overall a good spot for a quick meal at the right price. Service was generally good. read more

Good. Very good price. Most importantly consistent in flavoring and cooking-- was my first meal in Zion and have been back 20+ times. General Tsao Chicken is perfect. Typical Chinese menu is present. Steamed dumplings are great. Only thing I haven't liked were the Chicken wings. Both times I ordered them I felt it was not very good. read more

I think for the price, the food is pretty good. They are normally very busy between 5-7pm on a weekday.

The best Chinese in Northern Lake County. Consistently good, inexpensive and quick take-out - I don't recommend eating there, though, since there are only two old wobbly tables next to the window. We like Orange Chicken, Moo Shoo Pork, General Tso's Chicken and Broccoli Beef. The Crab Rangoon is really good, too. read more

My family and I have been coming here for years. Their Chicken Lo Mein noodles and eggrolls are the best I have ever had. The egg drop soup is nice and thick with a lot of flavor. The prices are also very reasonable. read more

Delicious Chinese food! Best place in Lake County to go get that Chinese food craving. Will definitely keep going back.

I have patronized this restaurant for over 10 years and have been pleased with it. I ordered the Shrimp and Broccoli on Friday, 2/28 and the shrimp smelled and tasted funny. After becoming ill all that night and next day, I contacted the restaurant and told them I thought there was something wrong with the shrimp. I asked if I could get my money back since I didn't eat it all. They said emphatically NO MONEY BACK since no one else complained. I told them I would never buy food from them again and I would tell everyone not to patronize. read more
