Truly bewildered by the reviews claiming this is "the best in Kenosha". I gave this place the benefit of the doubt and I regret it. Extremely inattentive and apathetic customer service. Upon arrival, the restaurant was completely empty (at 12:30pm on a Saturday), which should have been a red flag. There was nobody behind the counter. I was not greeted nor given a menu. I picked up my own menu and seated myself. A woman shuffled around the dining room, passing me multiple times and completely ignoring me until I finally waved at her enough times. I asked for a cup of water and she tried to make me buy a bottle of water. Does the restaurant not have potable water? I ended up getting a can of soda. No glass given until I asked. No straw given; I had to get up and get it myself. The waitress took my order without writing it down, which should have been red flag #2. She then emerged ~5 minutes later with the appetizer I ordered: some truly disgusting and tasteless crab rangoon, and an entirely different entree than what I had ordered. I told her it was the incorrect dish and she tried to give it to me anyway. Guess she should have written it down! She offered to have me keep the incorrect entree while she went back to make the correct one. I told her I would just eat the slop she brought me, which was pretty awful with frozen vegetables thawed in a gelatinous sludge with a few pieces of shrimp. I ate about half and gave up. The restaurant was so freezing cold that by the time I tried the rice, it was also cold. No sauce for the egg roll that comes with your lunch special. Awful, tasteless, poorly prepared, poorly presented, mediocre, forgettable food all around. I declined any further delicacies, so the waitress brought me the bill, where she had elected to charge me for the incorrect entree that I never ordered! Absolutely pathetic customer service, and since the food was so bad, I see no ever reason to ever visit here again. Please don't waste your time. The Subway next door is unironically a better choice. 0/10 read more

I ordered this for delivery. It all came hot which was great. It seemed to take quite a while before they prepared it though as I live only 10 minutes from there. I really didn't expect it to take the whole hour plus that the delivery service quoted. Maybe they were hopping at the actual restaurant or had a lot of deliveries and pick ups. There were no chopsticks included as requested though so I had to hunt around the house for some. (Just moved so my own nice wooden and plastic ones are MIA currently.) I really hate eating any type of Asian food with a fork. I've practiced since I was small to be proficient with them. Just doesn't taste as good without that effort. Lol I'd like to give more stars cause the crab Rangoons ARE some of the best I've ever tasted. The lo mein was just what I have been looking for noodle wise for a long time. (Others have been way too thin and not so great.) The white rice was the perfect amount of sticky to make it easy to use with chopsticks. And it all came nice and hot as I said above. Truly unfortunate but the Orange Chicken was really just meh. Very bland so that really brought the whole meal down since it was the main course. It's supposed to be a spicy dish. (China Star even describes it as such on the menu.) And it was not at all. I like the spicier dishes usually. Just saw this place pop up while getting a haircut at great clips next door this Sunday. So, I'd figure I'd give it a try. I ordered the curry chicken with pork fried rice for take out. Order took about 5-10 minutes to prepare. The staff was very friendly. Now to the food. The rice was very good. It wasn't too greasy or bland. It was just right. Very favorable with the right amount of veggies (I like veggies). The curry chicken was lightly glazed and was perfect. The meal itself was slightly spicy but I like spicy so it was great. Overall great first time meal here. My stomach didn't feel like crap like some other Chinese joints out there and it filled me up. Going to bring my wife over here for lunch sometime in the near future. Give it a try. ps they also server sushi but not until next week. No biggie as they literally just opened recently. read more

She calls my phone and says "thought you would call me instead of text me"...huh? Anyway, couldn't find our house, apparently she doesn't know how to use Google Maps to find an address that's in a pretty non rural area... rude as hell to boot. I ordered Kung Pau Chicken for my dinner. It looked absolutely delicious. There was NO chicken under the breading--None. Maybe beaks and feathers but literally I bought 11$ of Rice and breading. Honestly, was just passing through after hitting up the Mars Cheese castle, and was not expecting much as we walked through the doors but it turned out to be some of the best American chinese food I've had in a long time. In the time we sat at our table waiting for our food, a good 12 customers or so came through for take out and dine in. Immediately i thought that this must be a town favorite. The dishes were fresh, and even though the sushi was sliced thin, they offer two pieces not one and was actually good. I had the boneless bbq spare ribs, which in my experiences range from chew toy to burnt bones in sauce. The sauce was really flavorful and the meat was fresh tasting and tender. The general tso was also very tasty, though I would suggest asking for a bit more heat as it stood at a mild. My least favorite thing here was the wonton soup, but I'm still leaving with a very full and satisfied tummy. Meal for two ended up around the 25$ mark. read more

Great Chinese place. So I have been here 6 times now and no bad days. Staff very friendly and helpful. Ordered so far: shrimp fried rice, shrimp egg foo young, crab ragoon, shrimp lo mein, & yang chow fried rice. All seafood until our fast is over then I will be able to order the meats and update you all. Crab ragoon is sweet and awesome, you don't even need the sweet and sour sauce. Shrimp fried rice is not greasy like some places and containers filled to the top. Full of shrimp and goodness. Shrimp egg foo young - patties are on the thin side would like more egg or to be thicker but does the trick. Shrimp lo mein - would like more shrimp but very flavorful. Yang chow fried rice - great it has pork in it I think we pulled them out (due to the fast we are on) but OMG so will order this when I can eat meat again. So good. This is our new Chinese and Japanese go-to restaurant for take out and delivery. We love the expansive menu of both Chinese and Japanese choices. Excellent customer service and the gentleman who took our large order read it back for clarification. Crab Rangoons were good, orange chicken was made with no spice per our request (for our kids), sushi and maki were awesome and favorite was the crunchy salad on the Japanese appetizer menu was the best. Classic Americanized Chinese food, and the employees are so nice. I placed a to go order and as I waited the woman brought water.
