Came here while in Racine. I will say if you like Americanized Chinese and are not a huge lover of the authentic stuff, you should mentally add a star to my review. The good: the price for what you get is excellent. Servings are generous, food is absolutely OK, and if this place was by my house I would order from here on drunk date nights in. the owners are a cute family and their kids are here, and the older one is involved in the business. I love seeing real family operations and the boys are seriously adorable. The place is shabby but tidy- not as spotless as some of my favorite shabby diners but I wasn't afraid to eat here. Some of the food tasted pre made- I heard prep cooking and chopping in the kitchen but I'm 90% sure the dumplings were from a store. I got a large wonton soup, which was just ok (meh broth, meh dumplings), but did hit the spot. The hunan beef, the sauce tasted like it was out of a can and while it was adequate, it wasn't great. If there were any authentic Fijian dishes, I would have jumped at the chance to try them- and it probably makes business sense in a strip mall to have very Americanized Chinese, but when I saw the Chinese on the whiteboard and heard the kids speaking in Chinese I was really hoping for a more authentic experience. Edit: I just added a star. I snuck a peek at the kitchen when the owner was busy, and while the pans are shabby, it's very clean. I've been a working mom, and I know the struggle. I can pass that the floors need to be vacuumed in the dining area for the fact the kitchen is clean- sometimes you have to prioritize. It's still three and a half stars for me, because damn I'd love to eat whatever they cook for themselves, but it's a nice place and a family that's working hard to support themselves, so I feel good giving them my money for giant servings of perfectly adequate food, even if it's not the snobby, pretentious foodies dream. read more

Great find while I was on a business trip. Not much near my hotel so I called Panda and they said they'd deliver. I ordered 3 dishes with sauce on the side. They were all cooked (steamed) perfectly with crispy veggies and generous amounts of meat/shrimp and sauce. They delivered in the time frame promised and it was piping hot. read more

This is an average Chinese restaurant. The chicken in the broccoli and chicken is slimy. The flavor is overall decent. Fried rice is really good. Honey and sesame chicken are flavorful. I would recommend this restaurant, however, it will be trial and error to find what you like. read more

We ordered this tonight and it was awful. Very poor quality and very poor in flavor. General Tso's Chicken tasted like brown sweet and sour sauce, not close to how it should taste. The Crabmeat Rangoon was a horrible paste with a bad after taste, didn't even come close to what it should taste like. Beef and Broccoli was bland with little flavor. Last, the egg rolls were small and not very good either. Overall nothing was good and we ordered multiple types of food items. read more

I love good Chinese food. I love it when it is fresh and flavorful and served at the right temp. Lately I've been disappointed with an award-winning Chinese restaurant we frequented even before they first won "Best of". So we decided to try Panda in Sturtevant since it has new owners and a new attitude. Best decision we've made in a while! They offered everything I love in good Chinese food. We have had their food twice in the past week and both times it was excellent. The sweet and sour chicken...oh, my. The chicken was fresh, tender, and cooked properly. It was not dry, stringy, or of questionable origin. The sauce was neither too sweet nor too tart - just delicious. The crab Rangoon is the best I've had anywhere. Spouse had egg drop soup and chow mein and was very pleased with both. In our opinion the Panda is the new "Best of" in Chinese food in our area. Oh, and they deliver. We just had dinner here and were underwhelmed. We ordered Szechuan chicken, which should have been called szechuan celery because it was about 80% celery, and Sha Cha Beef Chow Fun which lacked flavor and had zero spice despite the chili symbol next to its name. We also tried the crab rangoon, pork egg rolls, and hot and sour soup. Everything was just "okay." On the plus side the food was cheap and had large portions, but I wouldn't waste your time here when there are plenty of better places in Racine. read more

I've lived in Sturtevant for 11 years now, so I've seen this place go through several owners. The downside of that is some things change drastically - and not always for the better. I loved the hot and spicy two taste the previous owners had, but that's not on the menu anymore, and there's nothing quite like it that I've found. My son loved the chop suey and beef lo mein, but now he's not as much of a fan. The Chop Suey is like a totally different dish now, and the lo mein doesn't have the same zing of flavor anymore. We used to eat here several times a week, now we usually only go maybe once a month for a change of pace. Restaurant is kept clean, staff is friendly, but when they stopped delivery, that cut in half how many times we eat their food, and the menu changes just make it tough to hang in there. The only downside sometimes to eating there is that their kids run loose, so when they're yelling and screaming, it's like trying to eat at a daycare playground and can be very distracting, so we generally will get it to go. read more

The manager made an honest mistake and did not charge us for a replacement meal the following day (which ended up being more expensive). I understand every business has their bad days, and they made up for it. The food was good and delivered on time the last few times we've ordered. The food here is awful. It has absolutely no flavor. I was very disappointed. The soup tastes like Campbell's canned soup that was watered down. The egg foo young gravy had something weird in it that made the back sides of my toung feel sandy. Plus they only gave us a small cup of gravy, they could of gave us more there were 3 patties a serving so we had to ask for more which was ridiculous they should have gave us more in the first place. And the server was very rude about it. Awful service, we had to wait 12 min. for our soup after we ordered. It was so bad that we went up to the owners and told them we were not paying and we walked right out. Terrible! Terrible! Chinese restaurant. DONT GO HERE!!! If you have a taste for Chinese food and you live in Sturtevant, I highly recommend going to the China House restaurant thats in the area by Piggly Wiggly. There food tastes so much better and authentic, I have been going there for years. NEW OWNERS HERE AGAIN. VERY GOOD, FRESH FOOD HERE. They are CLOSED MONDAY'S. The NEW OWNERS are a young couple from Green Bay, WI. The menu is large the dining room and bathroom are clean. I wish they would open the wooden window blinds to look a little more ''open for business''. I have ate here three times and I have not been disappointed. I only wish they made in-house (homemade egg rolls). They have a LARGE ''Lunch Special's Menu served Tue.-Sun 11 am-3-pm. Look-up their Menu on their Web Site. Please do give these NEW OWNER'S A CHANCE. They make good food and are pleasant people to dine with. The husband is the chef and the wife is the server/busser. They kept the old owners restaurant name, but this IS A VERY DIFFERENT RESTAURANT NOW. I have dined here with ALL (3) past owners and this restaurant is MUCH BETTER than the ''former owner'' was.
