My wife and I have been ordering from Main Moon 2 for about two years now, and this place has been rock solid every single time. We used to have a different Chinese spot that we loved, but they went downhill faster than my diet every January. So we gave Main Moon 2 a try, and honestly, it has been nothing but wins since. Let's talk food. The egg rolls are crisp and packed perfectly. Not limp, not greasy, not half-empty like my hopes when I open leftover takeout. These are legit. The crab rangoon is my personal favorite. They are crispy, flavorful, and exactly what crab rangoon should taste like. I've had a lot of crab rangoon in my life and these easily sit in the hall of fame. The crispy sesame chicken? Perfect. Like they have a wizard in the kitchen who knows the exact second to pull it out. Pork fried rice? Always cooked just right. Egg fu yong? Almost always amazing. Beef lo mein? Flavor for days. My biggest compliment is the consistency. The food is always the same or better than before. The staff is super friendly. My order has been wrong exactly zero times, which is honestly more reliable than most technology I own. They also have an app that makes ordering so easy I barely have to use my brain, which is great after long days when my brain has decided to clock out early. Not a single issue in two years. I called the main Moon to place the order. I have small kids and they don't like the veggies so I asked for chicken fried rice and chicken lo mein no veggies when she gave me the price. I was a little confused because I ordered from them all the time so I just wanted to confirm my order with her. She told me she had to charge me for extra meat since I wasn't getting vegetables. I said there's no need. I don't need the extra meat and she said I'm sorry I have to charge you like that. Otherwise I will get in trouble by my managers. This is the lady that I called that answered the phone. I said I'm confused. I ordered from here all the time I ordered just like this. I have small kids. I don't need the extra meat and she said well I can just give you a little bit of vegetables and I said no they're young. I just worked almost the 20 hour shift. I just wanna feed my kids and go to sleep. She told me she has to charge me for extra meat even though I'm not asking for it. I explained that it was wild that I'm being charged for something I didn't ask for and she said well think of it this way you'll have extras for a few days. I said that's really not the point I don't care for the extra meat and being charged for what I wasn't asked for if I didn't already tell my kids, I was ordering main moon. I ordered the chicken lo mein and it had a very pungent aroma, and tasted rotten and I spoke to one of the employees about it and they called the owner over. He was extremely unprofessional and rude. I used to order from here all the time, both locations. My favorite was the Kung Pao chicken but it's been years since it's been good. There is zero heat in it anymore so I don't even know why it's still listed on the spicy side. It's brown with a thick sauce now and almost bitter. I don't order much anymore because of this and there is no where in Racine that has good Kung Pao Chicken, not like Main Moons used to be. There was ONE time that I took a chance and order it, went to pick it up and it was the first time I had seen the owner in years and as luck would have it, the dish was perfect! Not since then. Our first visit but we will be back. Met friends from Kenosha there, and they were so pleased with their shrimp egg foo yung they ordered some for an elderly family member (who was pleased she got 2 meals out of one order). I had Beef Pepper Steak with onions and also had enough over to make another meal at home. The Crab Rangoons were yummy and 8 to a serving! This was the worst sesame chicken ever! Ordered a takeout combination plate and ended up having to throw it away. It was so dry, even the pork fried rice was dry. There was absolutely no sauce what so ever. It even looked funny, like it was maybe a day old. My husband ordered the orange chicken and threw his out too. The egg rolls were extra greasy. Was looking forward to Sesame Shrimp but was sadly disappointed. What they called "shrimp" was balls of fried dough with miniscule shrimp mixed in the dough. The shrimp were crunchy and very hard. I stopped by here because I was on a business trip with Chinese partners who HAD to have some white rice. Just HAD to no matter what. Even if the restaurant was clearly not what they know as real Chinese food. I walked in with ROCK BOTTOM expectations. These types of joints typically are high grease, high salt, high MSG, high corn starch. AKA nasty. The boss was excited to see 5 Chinese people walk through the door (a rarity in Racine I'm betting). She tried her best to twist the clearly Americanized dishes into something more Chinese-esque. While she failed on that front, we did successfully request low grease, low salt, low MSG, which is a HUGE accomplishment. Kudos to the restaurant for following those instructions. It's not somewhere I'd go to if I had a choice, but when I'm on business in Racine, I know this is a place I can at least go to, give some instructions on how I want my food prepared, and get something that fills the stomach and lets me do my job the next day with aplomb. read more

I really don't understand what people see in this place. I work at a doctor's office and staff order a lot and drug reps bring it in for lunch. The food is bland and everything pretty much tastes the same. I ordered a shrimp dish today and there were literally 2 shrimp in it. Yesterday was the first and last time I will ever by food from here. After calling in the order, I arrived about 20 minutes later. The woman that helped me at the desk must not have understood me, because when I told her my name and phone number, she handed me ALL of their ticket orders and said "You find." Then she walked off. I sifted through the orders and handed the correct on to her when she eventually came back. At that point, they started making the food. After another 15-20 minutes, they called me up. The man that gave me my food said that I had to give him my receipt in order to get the food. By doing so, I gave him the only proof of what I had ordered. When I got home and unstapled the bag, I found that 3 of the 4 things I had ordered were completely wrong. I know it was my fault for not checking at the restaurant, but you honestly shouldn't have to check to make sure something as simple as an order of 4 things is correct. The food was chewy and had many little pieces of fat. If you like that sort of thing, this would be an excellent place for you to try out. read more

The people here are extremely rude. We (two of us) ordered food for delivery. After an hour and a half of waiting, they never showed up. We were hung up on three times. We were put on hold then eventually they hung up on us. When I finally got to talk to someone, I was told that the delivery person got stuck behind an accident. They could have called and communicated that to us but they did not, nor do I believe them. We live in Racine; it does not take two hours to get anywhere. They lack the ability to have a professional conversation and provide notice. The headache is not worth the subpar food. Save your money and order from another establishment. read more

Used to be my go to until today. Called and order to go lunch special substitute tofu instead of chicken, she tells me he total is $7 something. Get there to pick up, guy working says it'll be over $15. I told him that was incorrect, he somewhat argues with me saying what I ordered isn't even an option for a lunch special (I ordered the same thing last week with no issues). Brings the owner out who also somewhat argues with me, while the precious cashier says something along the lines of "well he's the owner so...". Main Moon 2 all starts with Tracy..........She's answering the phones, several at a time...she's cleaning up, she's at the cash register, she's out on the road delivering. I like the General Tso's Chicken, its both sweet and spicy. Ya, the atmosphere is like seeing Bellucci, Akroid, and Bill Murray serving up cheese burger-cheese burger--- pepsi-pepsi....always busy. The cooks are all lined up all preparing food and speaking in Asian dialects adding to the hustle. Fun place to go for take-out. read more

Absolutely the worst experience. Called for delivery . they took my order. told me 25 minutes i said ok i called 35 minutes later they apologised said they meant 45 minutes. ok waited until they were 10 minutes late for the 45 minute time got a call 68 minutes after my order time andthe delivery driver couldnt find my apartment . they deliver to my upstairs neighbor all the time. wasted over an hour of my time. never getting adolar from me ever read more
