I ordered the food for carryout. The service was super fast and my food was very hot. The sugar donuts are something that I love no matter what Chinese restaurant I go to. They taste like every other sugar donut. The vegetable lo mein is good. I would prefer more vegetables in it. I feel like they just put them on top to make it look like there's more vegetables. The general Taos Chicken had almost like a barbecue sauce versus the general Taos Chicken regular sauce. It was slightly too salty and not sweet enough and I'm wondering if it's just because there's so much sauce. I prefer less sauce or if there's a lot of sauce that it's runny so that it can kind of drip off, but this I couldn't get off at all. I was able to choose chicken fried rice instead of plain rice, which was good. And I really enjoyed getting a free egg roll and crab Rangoon as an appetizer. This is my go to for pork lo mein and General Tso's chicken in the Racine area. What's better is the delivery is super fast. You don't even have to think about being hungry if you order for delivery. I'm also a dumpling fan, but have been disappointed with their take on steamed and fried dumplings, but it's easy to look past that when the lo mein is so good. read more

Great taste and an abundance of everything. Good sized chunks of meat and tasty vegetables. I get the curry beef every time we go there. Food is usually ready in under 15 minutes and piping hot. The hot and sour soup is great and the beef with mixed vegetables are terrific. We are very picky with our Chinese food and they never fail to please. Delivery when asked for, is also pretty fast and never over a half hour. You get your money's worth and usually will have plenty left over. Recommended!! read more

I was super excited to see this restaurant open. I am pretty luke-warm about most Chinese restaurants in Racine. I tried the Singapore Mei Fun and the shrimp egg rolls. The Singapore Mei Fun was pretty good, not the best I have ever had in my life, but flavorful and tasty. The egg rolls were good, but I thought they were little compared to Rong Hua. It seems like they have a good selection of vegetarian options, which is awesome because there aren't a lot of veggie options in Racine. I'm definitely going to head back to try more dishes. Started out as our family's 2nd choice in Racine whenever the one across the street was packed or had a wait, but as the (the competitor) slowly went down in quality, Tony's became our go to and we really like the food. They are always willing to adjust the order to fit our picky tastes and their soups are incredible. Getting hungry now thinking about it. The BEST Chinese food in Racine! After our third visit, we are hooked on Tony Chen's. It is a great family-run restaurant, the owners are always there and are quite willing to accommodate your taste preference with spicy or mild. Every employee is kind and you can see that they truly care about their customers. Vegetarian and vegan friendly, lot's of menu selections, delicious soups, and really good prices. Definitely worth trying! Personally, this is the only restaurant in the area where I have been able to get my favorite dish, MaPo Tofu. It is a staple of Chinese cuisine and found easily in the San Francisco Bay Area where I used to live. I was missing my favorite dish so much, and no one else in Racine makes it (correctly). Since we moved here from the South almost 7 years ago, we happened upon Tony Chen's on the way home from Doctors office one day and decided to stop; after having tried other places around the neighborhood. The owner's wife took a liking to my daughter, even inviting her into the kitchen several times, giving her some freebies like almond cookies or other, only a child would want. The service is always quick and friendly here. We live close to this place and often get delivery. They tell us 30 minutes, but often get there within 10. In my opinion they are a lot better than main moon Chinese, and far more sanitary. My favorite is their orange chicken and the crab ragoons.
