I placed a Pick up order for dinner tonight and I was very pleased with all the items we ordered. Everything was delicious, I ordered egg fu yung patties, Szechuan chicken, beef Hunan, pork egg rolls and chicken fried rice. It was all very tasty. Service was great, my order was waiting for me and dinner was hot. We had a nice surprise they gave us a free order of crab Rangoon! I will definitely be ordering from Main Moon again. Thank you for the delicious food and great service! read more

Horrible fucking food you could ever order at a restaurant. This place used to be good. I used to go here all the time I loved their crab Rangoon their eggrolls everything was very good. Not sure what happened but the last two times I have ordered it has been absolutely horrible. I called them to complain and the owner yells at me on the phone and says I complain too much. I take the food in there open up the container, rip it apart and show them just how soggy and rubbery the egg rolls are I wouldn't even wanna feed that to a fucking pig on a farm. Ripped apart the crab Rangoon oil completely old. I think it should've been changed in their deep fryers three months ago the crab Rangoon is brown like rubber not crunchy. Nothing hardly in it absolutely disgusting then they say do you want me to make you more food hell no, I don't want more food. Your food is disgusting. You guys shouldn't even be open. The owner is completely rude. He starts yelling and you can't even understand a word he's saying because he doesn't speak very good English. Hello where do you live? Do you live in the United States of America? We speak English here. Anyways, your food sucks and that is why your rating is so low. Good luck with your business. I'm sure it'll be the next one to close in Racine, Wisconsin. read more

Went in for lunch, entered a well kept lobby and ordered our food for dine in. Appetizers came out within 5 minutes, then our main dishes. The crab rangoons are amazing, I personally love the filling on these the most out of the other Chinese restaurants in Racine. The fried dumplings were also quite good. The pork lo mein was very good, lots of flavor, and the fried rice is also my favorite in Racine. Very friendly staff, great prices on lunch specials. The actual dine in area doesn't have any music playing, so it's kitchen noise but it's not loud. Definitely still a great read more

Main Moon - Sweet n Sour Chicken - Chinese Near Me - Racine, Wisconsin

I ordered $50 worth of takeout pork egg Foo young ,shrimp, lo mein ,Mongolian, beef and crab Rangoon. And what I got was a whole bunch of vegetables or a couple of strips of meat I felt cheated and disappointed. I will never order takeout from this place. Fact would give zero stars I would. read more

Food was outstanding. Kind service, Takeout was some of the best tasting Chinese food ever! It's even great compared to Chinese food in San Francisco. read more

I would give ZERO stars. If I could. It was absolutely awful. Shrimp fried rice had NOTHING in it except regular onions ( not green) and shrimp and rice. Zero flavor. I had to cook it to make it edible. Zero starts for the orange chicken. Terrible. No pride in making food for others. Please see my pictures attached of what I got and how I had to make it edible. Please find another Chinese restaurant to eat. This one was a bust. I will never go back there read more

Main Moon - a plate of fried rice with shrimp and vegetables - Chinese Near Me - Racine, Wisconsin

See all

It's your typical store-front Chinese food take-out place. I always get chicken with mixed vegetable w/ white rice and pork egg roll. Occasionally I get hot and sour soup as well. Sometimes my wife gets an order of crab rangoon and says it is quite good. In summary, decent food for a fair price. read more

Food used to be good. Our last order was really bad. Ended up not eating it. One thing in particular, I love mushrooms so asked for them to be added to my entree.....they were canned bland mushrooms. Very disappointing. Too bad as I really want to support local businesses. Maybe the owners can try to do something about the quality. read more

I purchased the chefs special "Happy Family" on 2/23/2024. It didn't make my family very happy! It had 2 shrimp and 2 scallops, old rancid tasting pork , a few slivers of chicken and to much mocked crabs. The rice was so cold and packed that it took a knife to cut it out the carton. Peppers and other veggies were cut in chucks like no other Chinese food I have ever tasted. My experience was so repulsive that I will never purchase anything from this establish again. In my opinion this was the worst Chinese food that I eaten in all of my 80 years . I would not recommend this restaurant to any one. Beware! read more

Bad chicken fried rice. General Szoa chicken was too mild. Once was enough for this diner. read more

The food is great, we used to prefer King's Wok but Main Moon has won us over. Everything seems fresh, not too oily or greasy, and overall good flavor. They forgot to pack our chicken dish back in February so I called and they gave me a credit the next time. Redeeming the credit was easy and they have great customer service, both on the phone and in-restaurant. read more

This place is a diamond in the rough. Crab Rangoon is incredible! Lo mein is fantastic! Wish I had tried more when I was there.

The last straw Placed a order at 8:00pm Estimated time delivery... possibly 40 mins Called at 9:10pm to confirm order was received And was assured driver was on his way Keep in mind I live less then 3/4s of a mile away Called again at 9:20pm this is now double original wait time Very rude when questioned so cancelled the order have not been reimbursed for meal since I paid in advance but it should be reimbursed Monday according to the manager/ phone rep I talked to on all 3 calls ,,, Last time I ever order here Food 2/5 not great to begin with, add poor customer service and very untimely deliveries read more

If 0 stars were an option I would click it. The chicken tasted like dirty dish water. Fried dumplings were so minuscule I couldn't even see them let alone taste them. They had a fake Certificate hanging on the wall that was supposed to say best Chinese food, but instead it said "beat Chinese food" because it was obviously a homemade one cause no One in their right mind would say that they are the best Chinese food. All that aside, they forget the one thing necessary to make this garbage edible and that was the SAUCE. who in their right mind eats crab Rangoon without SAUCE?????maniacs that's who. Along with missing the sweet and sour sauce. All in all, I never thought someone could make Chinese food taste so horrible. .. but Main Moon surely did. read more

I recently moved to Racine and I have been afraid to try a new Chinese restaurant. I knew that I would probably have to try a few before I found one that I liked. Decided to dive in and try Main Moon and I'm happy I did! The girl on the that took my order was very nice and polite. It took less time to get to us than she indicated. Luckily, we live about a mile away so the food arrived HOT. We ordered the crispy sesame chicken combo plate and general tso's. We also ordered an order of crab Rangoon. The Rangoons were the best I've had! My sesame chicken wasn't crispy at all, but it had a nice flavor. My partner also enjoyed his general tso's. Main Moon is a winner for us and we will certainly be ordering from there again! read more

The food has always been good but have had poor customer service twice since the new year. A few months ago I called to pick up Sesame Chicken from the lunch menu. I was told the cook would be unhappy to make it for lunch and that Main Moon is the only restaurant that has it asalunch special. When I picked up my order I was further chastised for my order. The next week I ordered same meal from Kings Walk with no reprimand. Today I called and ordered shrimp with garlic sauce for pick up. I arrived in the 15 min. I was quoted. When I shared what I was there to pick up he asked if I was placing the order. I explained that I had called ahead. I was told that I must have called the wrong number. I stated that I dialed the number on the menu and the person that answered sounded like him and I have given my order and was told it would be ready in 15. I was told that my call had never been received and my food was not made. I left and went to Piggly wiggly. read more

The place is a little shabby inside, but don't let that fool you. The food is pretty good. Their shrimp with lobster sauce is to die for, so creamy and savory. Hit it with a little spicy mustard for an extra kick. Their fried rice is also pretty great. There are a few tables inside and the servers are very nice. Prices are also pretty reasonable for that type of fare. Give them a try. I doubt you'll be disappointed. read more

It's your ordinary chinese take out! Not very "chinese-y" but good enough for cheap take out. I swore though year my sesame chicken tasted like it was made with toilet water... but what do I know, I never actually tried toilet water before. But, if I did, I can imagine what it would taste like after that. I'll try it again maybe sometime in the next few months... since there's really nothing around that area. read more

I just got an order of chicken fried rice. It contained, literally, ONLY rice and chicken. In fairness there were probably about 10 onion pieces as well. But there was no egg, sprouts, peas or carrots. It's a shame, the flavor was pretty good but the complete lack of standard ingredients was unacceptable to me. Sadly I find this kind of "Chinese " food to be prevalent in racine and Wisconsin in general not sure if the food is being dumbed down for Midwestern palate (which shouldn't be needed) or all the really good Chinese cooks stay on the coasts. But this is not my first disappointing experience with main moon. They are always very friendly tho. read more

I was sad to have been away for soo long to find out that the food has changed greatly. I'd avoid this Chinese style restaurant. I remember when Main Moon opened in no way has the food I've had there been on that same level of flavor, texture, consistency. read more

Main Moon - Full order of General Tso's chicken. Soggy, poor flavor, just not what I remember from this restaurant. - Chinese Near Me - Racine, Wisconsin

What happened to Main Moon? You were the best now, you're terrible. My sweet and sour pork was, sweet and sour batter. The pork fired rice tasted like grease and where was my egg roll. Probably would have sucked anyway. Time to find a Chinese restaurant that takes pride in their food. read more

I can not leave any stars for this. my food was great as usual. But that person taking my order was absolutely disgusting. He was rude and very nasty. Me and my four year old son came and and sat down to dine in remind you we never been here so we sat right down. Waiting on someone to take our order after sitting there for almost 30 mins. Look at me and my son four times. Then walk to a table and pick up her phone and paid us no attention. So I said do I need to order upfront or or is someone gonna take our order. The rude lil snody immature young girl tried to get smart. So I told her about her self and let her know u don't talk to people like that that's never been there she told me and my son to leave.. poor costumer service very rude and needs one on one classes on how to speak and talk to people.. trying to try something new and this the disrespect me and my son receives. I'll never come here again and yes I sat outside the main moon in my car and to make this review.. smh kids I tell you not a good look for they business at all.. read more

If you are looking for good Chinese food do not come here, we came to this restaurant for take out and boy were we disappointed! The food had no flavor and was HORRIBLE if you want to receive a lot of onions and not what you ordered then come here, we ordered from this place because our normal place closed early and main moon took advantage of us. Charging $80 for something my dog wouldn't even eat so my advice would be to save your money and go elsewhere. read more

I ordered extra water chestnuts in my Beef & Broccoli. I got 3. Total. They didn't even give us any fortune cookies. Very disappointed.

This place used to be really good. Sadly with each order it seems to suck more and more. Food always comes soggy. I'm not sure if they changed ownership or what. Orders are wrong sometimes. I mean the one thing keeping it from one star is it come warm and comes quick. Other then those two things they are not worth while. Lots of way better places near by that also deliver read more

Often get the general tso when I'm at work, always hot. Nothing really bad to write about this establishment.

I would have loved to give a 5 star because I really love the food. Unfortunately I draw the line with staples being in my chicken fried rice. The containers I was given were covered with staples keeping everything closed, it's no wonder why it ended up in the food. It's unacceptable. read more

Your mixed egg fu young, was to die for....omg..Heavenly! Thank you Chef.

As good as it gets when it comes to take out. If you like it spicy, however, you need to emphasize it...otherwise it'll be mild. My fave is the spicy garlic chicken. Mmmm! read more

Best chinese in town. Recommended the pepper steak n onion or sesame chicken.

I'm a huge fan of Chinese food and this is the best place to go. I love their bourbon chicken and beef with mixed vegetables. Mmm, mmm good!

If this is the best in racine I do not want to venture out to the other places. Service was lacking, food was fast but a lil over cooked. The food was not bad but it was no where close to great. They had water out of a pitcher and gave you little plastic disposable cups. I am from the midwest and even the crummy Chinese places are better than main moon. read more

Recommend the chicken with mushroom or beef with broccoli. They are heavy handed with the onions in some dishes. Overall a delicious winner!!! read more

Hi we just decided to try Main Moon again after a few times having a bad experience. We ordered broccoli and beef, sweet and sour chicken and Tso chicken. The sweet and sour chicken was deep fried so much that there was no chicken left just over cooked breading. The beef was horrible. Three meals and we all had stomach aches within 30 minutes of eating the dinners. Horrible food. Don't order from this location. Nothing has changed. Terrible quality food! read more

Probably the best Chinese food in town. Love it, very consistent. My ONLY problem with them is that I really wish they had a smaller side order of steamed mixed veggies haha read more

Absolutely excellent service and great food. We've gone here for years and have loved it since the very first visit.
