My go to for Chinese food in our area. Food is always good and has a better flavor and quality vs some of the others in this area.

We thought the food was good. Ate in person. Kind staff. Shrimp egg roll was not good. Quick and nice moo shu beef with pancakes! read more

we tried Chen's last night with take out egg roll that were decent. I tried pork moo shu and it was bad. Pork was mostly gristle and fat. Egg foo yong and fried rice were ok. read more

My girlfriend and I are avid fans and advocates for Panda Express though sometimes we do have an itch for something more "authentic" so we chose here tonight. First, we ordered online which was easy and didn't come with a headache which was nice. Pricing to me is very reasonable and they were even offering 10% off for online orders too which was a neat surprise! The food took about 15 minutes to complete which seemed pretty speedy. It was very clean inside and the woman who helped me pay and provided me our order was very friendly as well. They have a rather small dining area in there if you so choose to eat there but we took ours to go. We live about 25 minutes away and when we got home our food had kept a nice temperature which is always nice. The 3 star rating to me is rather fair because the food was alright just not anything I would write home about. The sweet and sour chicken and the broccoli and beef was average I felt that we got what we paid for. The Lo Mein was also decent and cooked properly the noodles were soft and the vegetables inside it offered a nice taste and crunch when needed. This also came with white rice which was nice to add to our bowls that we had created for ourselves. The best item we got hands down was the crab rangoon! It was crunchy on the ends and got softer towards the internal filling which tasted like most crab rangoon but with a tad bit of sweetness which was kind of cool. All in all the food was objectively alright just not anything that blew me away. Though I will say this spot a good option especially if you're looking for a more authentic experience in an area that does not have much of it to offer. So in total I have nothing bad to say. I would not mind coming here again and trying more of their vast menu ! read more

Hate to be the Debbie downer on this place but I was not impressed at all with this place. My entrees were loaded with a very bland brown gravy ( totally tasteless ) and the low mein noodles were literally thick noodles with some broccoli thrown in for flavor... 1st and last visit for this place :( I will stick with my favorite Chinese in Antioch!!! read more

Good food, fair prices, fast service. Efficient staff and a clean facility. Eat in option , but it's mainly a take out.

Food is excellent, service is good you can eat over there but a lot of ppl just order and go. Prices are a little high but the food is worth it. We are regular customers. read more

Food is always fresh, staff is always friendly and the wait times are always accurate. Busy on Friday nights, so sometimes the wait is longer, but overall really like the place and food read more

very good food, quick, friendly service. also nicely clean. Glad to have found a place my husband loves their food.

Inaccurate service, nothing more than typical takeout. So little asian carry out in the area, but this ain't it.

Love this place! Our go-to spot for Chinese. Fast, fresh tasting and priced well. Everything is always tasty!

Lucky Chen's started out so strong when we moved here! Every order was a delight. My most recent order, Mongolian beef, S4- not very Mongolian. It's bland. The beef is nice enough, there are plenty of regular onions, there's carrot and (never seen that before) pea pods. But the gravy, or sauce? It's more like a jus. I wish this was the first time I had an issue. There has been a blandness that started about August. The Seafood Combination was trapped in a white sauce that was a bit undercooked. The Hunan Chicken was insipid. I have to watch gluten, but I sneaked a crab rangoon from a family member. THAT was very, very tasty! The Hot and Sour Soup is delicious! When I am not feeling well, nothing perks me up better than Lucky Chen's Hot and Sour Soup. Perhaps I ordering the wrong thing? As far as cleanliness and customer service, nobody has Lucky Chen's beat! I want to like this place so much!!! It's a drive down to Antioch, and longer to Kenosha. I love Chinese food! I will keep tasting, especially now that I have a paper menu, and hope it's my fault that I am not getting the dish that knocks my socks off. read more

Great people. Mark is a very nice guy and his wife Lee also. Prices are great and reasonable. Wish they had more food on the menu

We have ordered from here many times in the last few years, but the food today was outstanding! In the past, it was good, not consistent but ok. Today the flavors were so well balanced. Singapore mei fun was spicy but, not too much and so much flavor. The hot and sour soup was spot on! I hope this chef continues to deliver consistent quality food. read more

Awful. Worst Chinese food I have ever had in my life. My stomach will never be the same.

Solid Chinese food for a small town. Order with confidence and order the noodles. Shrimp with broccoli was excellent, orange chicken was really good. Service was nice and friendly. Thank you read more

This is basically a take out place for mostly Americanized Chinese food. For that, it is fine. If I really want authentic Chinese, I'd drive an hour to Chinatown in Chicago. Now to the food. Get the shrimp dishes..they have the giant prawns! The beef is also very tasty. The fried wonton are very meaty. Kids loves the soup. They changed the noodle in their lo mein recently and we like it. You get a ton of food for the money. read more

Great local food! I've never had a bad order. Very strong covid protocols to keep the customers who come in/food in the kitchen separated. Love the lo mein! read more

Coming from Illinois, it is hard to imagine a place where there are not many Chinese take-out places. But being that this is Wisconsin, I had toi deal with this reality. The only other one I have tried is China House in Kenosha, but I like this place a bit better. If you feel like Chinese food and are near Routes 83/75 and 50, try this place. It is slightly hidden, about a half a block north of 50 (where 83 merges into 50 and 75 begins). read more

The food here is very good. What makes them excellent is that they offer gluten free for things they can do gluten free. Unfortunately every other month we are told they don't do gluten free. Since my daught has,an actual gluten allergy I will no longer order from this place unless I am assured they will do gluten free. I will not take her to the emergency room again. read more

Although a take out place, they do have a few tables and we ate in. You order at the counter and the food comes in take out containers, but they give you plastic plates. The food was mixed quality, with both the won ton and hot and sour soups being excellent. The egg rolls were OK. The General Tso;s chicken was quite good, but the Kung Pao chicken was tasteless. We would try it again as take out. read more

Good food, fast, and very nice people to deal with. one negative review is from some idiot that has no idea what hes talking about. maybe he got fired and is hell bent on messing with them. anyway Ive had thier food more then a dozen times now, kick ass like allways. read more

I highly recommend this restaurant. Everything we ordered was very good and service was fast. Will definitely go back.

Good Americanized Chinese food, but be careful ordering because they lie about their portion sizes. They will try to upsell you into buying way more food than you need. My wife and I can eat our fill of a large order of food and have leftovers, but they'll tell you a large only feeds one. read more

It's not too bad for the only take out Americanized Chinese food for the area. It satisfies your Chinese craving but I've had better.

While a five star might be pushing it, the food at lunch was very good. Small intimate space, carry out must be their bread and butter... or rather egg rolls and soy sauce. Quick food, good prices. read more

Lucky Chen - the front desk of a restaurant - Chinese Near Me - Salem, Wisconsin

I love Lucky Chen!!! Was so sad when they along with so many Chinese restaurants were closed for quarantine. They give you a lot of great food for the cost. Many changes made to keep us safe since the reopening. Thank you Lucky Chen!!! read more

Convenient and fast. Not the best Chinese takeout ever, but pretty good none the less

Great, fast/take out Americanized Chinese food. We've never been disappointed with our orders, and the egg rolls are great - not too greasy! That about sums it up! read more

Update in June of 2016 we revisited the restaurant and something happened because the food is perfect and delicious! You receive a good amount for the lunch special and they were able to adapt my order to be gluten free. Now our go to place for Chinese food . read more

I have been going to Lucky Chen for 3 years, I haven't been there for a few months and decided to stop for dinner. I can't believe how much the prices have gone up. The food quality has gone down, they have taken some ingredients out of their food and charge extra to put them into the food if you want it. The girl in the front was very helpful and nice, but the owner was rude and short when asking questions. read more

I love this place! The food is great and as a local I recommend it to any travelers seeking ethnic food and any locals that haven't ventured over here yet! read more

Lucky Chen is delicious! I really like their menu and their food always comes hot and delicious! I would definitely recommend them. Their lunch menu is a lot cheaper, which is nice, but they are smaller portions. The workers are always nice too! read more

I just got done pounding down some egg rolls and Kung Pao Chicken. I loved it. My girlfriend got Vegetable Fried Rice and she loved it. We love it. read more

We have been eating here for 5 years. Sometimes twice a month.the last 6 month the service has gone down hill. Our order has been messed up EVERY time we order.we we call to complain the blow it off I will drive the extra distance to Asian taste or another place for now on. read more

The food was good for the most part. The sweet and sour chicken was missing green peppers, carrots, and onions which are standard in most Chinese restaurants. The issue is the cleanliness of the restaurant and restroom. This is a necessity of you want people to come back. read more

This place is one of our quick dinner options. We like the spicy shredded beef ( it is not shredded, weird), pot stickers, and the mifun noodles extra veggies. Egg rolls taste frozen, and are pretty bland. read more

Just picked up a ton of food and came home to find a lady bug in one of the entrees! Yuck!

Some dishes are bland, but many dishes are good if you're in the mood for chinese takeout. I like the chef's choice mei fun and general's chicken especially. read more

Better than not having an American Chinese option in the area....but I am being generous on some of their dishes when I say it is OK. Sweet and sour anything is not good at all. read more
