    Crab Rangoons
    Jhordin A.

I was excited to try somewhere new, saw some decent reviews so we opted for here for dinner. We had good service while here! We ordered online, process was easy and quick. Prices not too bad, lots of options. When we picked up the worker was kind and quick, food was ready to go. Because our total was $40+, we also got a free bottle of coke so that was nice too. The inside was small and has pics of the food. I kind of like the look of it. Unfortunately, the food was not it. The chicken in the fried rice was rubbery, ended up having to eat around it. The Rangoons were good, but not typical- kind of chunky, tasted more like sour cream and chive. Comes with 8 full size Rangoons so it is a decent serving. The chow mein was loaded with veggies so that was nice but it all had a weird flavor to it, I've had much better elsewhere. The sweet and sour chicken was good, typical and same for the sauce- nothing special but didn't disappoint. I was sad to give this place 2 stars as the worker was very kind, but overall just was not pleased with the food.

Beef friend rice that's not the right color and nothing but rice a few pieces of beef

Was excited to find a place closer than Mundelein but was disappointed. Beef fried rice that was yellow and not brown and only rice a few pieces of beef. No veggies, egg or anything else. Fried wontons were decent but not great. Guess I'll go back to my old standbys.

Beef and Broccoli and Orange Chicken

Got a great Beef and Broccoli and Orange Chicken. food was ready about 15 minutes after calling. This is our go-to when we want Chinese.

I used to frequent this establishment as a teen and college student (clc) many years ago. I just moved back to Gurnee and this place still does not disappoint. Fast, hot, and fresh service. I take-out ordered the moosho pork, pork egg roll, crab Rangoon, sesame shrimp & won ton soup. It was delicious. My husband and I thoroughly enjoyed their fare. All of that plus 2 drinks and almond cookies for a little over $30. That's a steal! Myself and/or my husband will definitely be repeat customers. It's super close to our new home.

Singapore rice noodles minus the pork.

First time trying this place as I was having a craving for rice noodles and this was close by. After reading the reviews my expectations weren't super high but I must say that this hit the spot. I wasn't thrilled at all that my dish, Singapore rice noodles, came with shrimp that weren't deveined. May not be an issue to some but complete no go for me. So after picking out all the meat, shrimp and chicken, I was able to enjoy the noodles. Also got steamed broccoli to go with the noodles which was spot in a great mix. The portion sizes are huge! If you're dining here for yourself be prepared to have a crap ton of food left over or to be throwing away a massive amount of food. For the price and amount of food you get it's a win! The food was very flavorful and didn't taste bad but the smell of it wasn't that pleasing at all. For this reason I deducted a star.

Food was extra salty, very messy. The chicken doesn't even look like chicken. I would not recommend at all.

When I walked in, there were some patrons eating a simple rice and noodle dish and there it was front and center, a microwave... and the older lady cook had just put something in there and punched it for a preset 1 minute timer. So that definitely made me ... know this was about to be sad. They do have woks going, but it looks like the main things that touch them is the noodles and rice only so there is SOME hot food Here is my order: 1 Fried Dumplings 1 Peppered Steak 1 Orange Chicken 1 Beef Lo Mein 1 Beef Fried Rice 1 Sweet and Sour soup This is my review of each: 1 Fried Dumplings - 2/5 Soggy, prefried, definitely from the microwave, not firm dumpling wrapper with bad five spice aftertaste. 1 Peppered Steak and Onion - 2/5 absolute ripoff, meager portions of steak, should be called Onion with Some Steak. just taste like the generic beef and broccoli juice flavor, filled to the brim of raw onion, and poorly cooked bell peppers. 1 Orange Chicken - 1/5 Prefried, Sweet, soggy, bad pieces of meat, absolutely sus looking 1 Beef Lo Mein - 4/5 not enough sauce on the noodles, but the noodles were cooked well and were very hot so I suspect that actually touched the Wok 1 Beef Fried Rice - 3/5 (only because of the raw onion) the rice was the oily fried goodness, idk why they put unevenly cut raw onions in this. It ruined it a bit. 1 Sweet and Sour soup 0/5 - absolutely atrocious. Nothing there at all. Money value I give it a 4/5. Would not personally eat inside as it is cramped and not separate from kitchen. Will not return though overall

It all had great flavor and tasted fresh. They were quick with is too for a Saturday afternoon. Too many better places for my chinese fix nearby from Grayslake- I definitely will stick with my main HK from Mundelein for sure. Grabbed the physical menu when I went in to order and looked at it as online was too dense with not much info going- Physical menu is kind of weird when it comes to lunch/combo platter one side has some type of combo with egg roll on it other side only white or fried rice. Customer service with the plastic barrier made it seem less friendly. At this stage its very Tacky cloudy plastic barrier- no class whatsoever that should have been my second alarm bells going off when they did not bother to make it look nicer- First alarm bell one was when I walked in- stacks of carboard stuffed in the pop fridge? On the table? In the kitchen? Great for large takeout orders but with that faded sign barely showing the restaurant name and parking lot being kind of Round Lake. i felt like I walked in a homeless shelter for goodness sake. This was not a good first impression. When I was trying to choose, 4 people came in to pick up their orders. Clientle base seemed diverse. Eldery lady to the young lady dashing in giving me hope this was just the appearance of this place. Ordered and only had to wait 5 minutes! I ordered egg drop soup, orange chicken combo with pork egg roll and crab rangoon with cream cheese today. Egg roll- cabbage carrots pork - generic tasting nothing unique definitely can get the same thing from the food store freezer aisle (im lil of a snob with egg rolls) no homemade sauce- the generic sauce packet was available to grab Orange Chicken was made with dark meat and imagine chewing on chicken jerky- yes this was how annoying it was for me- it's infuriating when places overcook/fry the chicken to make it into stringy/jerk dish. Quit trying to make a meal out of it after 3 bites. Sauce itself nothing special- generic orange sauce with similar base to any dishes but dash of orange flavoring added to it. The fried rice- it was like eating couscous it was breaking apart yet al dente/firm like it needed to be steamed a tad bit more. Salty. Just grossest fried rice i have had better from the microwaved tv dinners. The egg drop soup could have done with more egg white. Too thick. Yeah like overdone with gelatin additive but not affect its taste. It was plain and not offending at all- just barebones. Would not upset anyone with fragile stomach to try this soup. If i had to eat there again its definitely the egg drop soup. Not salty at all. Crabmeat rangoon was the usual sweet/cream cheese type with imitation crabmeat in it. Nice amount I wouldnt complain at all- but one was more than enough for me due to the sweet factor. Now im dinging this place for no homemade sweet and sour sauce, not friendly face/tacky barrier, jerky chicken dish and royally missing the mark on fried rice. I am happy I ordered soup for once to keep me full til dinnertime.
