I'm glad I waited because my options expanded to the entire menu, not just a one-off veggie dish!! Everything me and my partner tried was delicious. The service was so welcoming, kind, and hospitable. The place was nearly empty when we arrived and got a couple more tables during our stay. There was music on and off. It didn't feel air conditioned. To meat eaters: I understand the letdown of the menu you once loved changing drastically, and I know, who are you to trust me... but please don't write Luong Loi off completely. Maybe for one of the times when you go out to eat or order food, you can try doing veggie and support this lovely place. :-) For the appetizer, we were recommended the Mushroom Pani Puri. It was savory, great textures, with a very tiny bit of spice. For my partner's entree, he got the Fresh Rice Noodle with Crispy Rolls & Vegan Ribs. He loved it. I tried the vegan rib and it was delicious! For my entree, I got the Half-Moon Tofu Fried Rice with Vegetables & Vegan Sausage. This was so yum, great combo of flavors, savory and smokey, and the eggy crispy tofu was really great! Drink: Vietnamese coffee with sweetened condensed milk, brewed at our table with a Vietnamese phin filter that's placed over the cup. Stirred and poured over ice for a cold drink. This was nearly identical to how I make/prefer coffee at home, so it was PERFECTION.

Since the change, I've been wanting to give it a try to see how it stacks up to the old place. We went and gave it a try with my wife and her family and i want to say we were all pleasantly surprised. The Pho was rich and filling, the fried rice was very tasty and the appetizers were delicious. Everything was well prepared/presented and fresh. Looking forward to going back and trying some different dishes. We were there on a Saturday for an early dinner and it was starting to get busy. There seemed to be only one waiter, with a couple of sporadic helpers - so wait times may take longer than average. There was a table of an older couple that sat down as we were finishing up. They were taken aback that there was no meat options and could not wrap their heads that it was all vegan. They ended up leaving in a huff. Normally I'm used to wonton soup also having noodles and theirs does not. Flavors were OK, felt like both dishes were missing spices. Everything was cooked perfectly though.
