The Tasty Chef is such an authentic restaurant. Whenever my wife and I visit, we always see the same couple cooking in the kitchen. I can only assume they are husband and wife, but their presence creates the feeling that we are being welcomed into their home for dinner. They are consistently kind, respectful, and the food is absolutely delicious. I have never had a bad meal here. The fried rice is always cooked to perfection. The food at Tasty Chef is amazing! Everything is freshly prepared. The portions are huge as well! We ordered the orange chicken, sautéed beef in teriyaki sauce, and stir fried noodles with beef and vegetables. The orange chicken had an amazing orange flavor - not that artificial orange flavoring that some restaurants use. The stir fried noodles were my favorite. The noodles were cooked perfectly, had a great sauce, and the beef was tender. The staff is also very nice and friendly. The woman who helped us was incredibly nice. The crab rangoons were so good, hot and stuffed with cream cheese and crab. We also got the Mongolian beef, beef chow fun and chicken fried rice. This is by far the best Chinese food in the western suburbs. Located in a food court in Park to Shop grocery store, it is a shockingly good place. Salt and pepper octopus is great. The orange chicken actually has real pieces of chicken in it instead of the dedicated chicken you get at most places. Ordering the lunch gives you too much food for one person and is just plain good eats. As a side, there is another place in the food court that sells duck, char sous, soy chicken, etc. right next door. Buy lunch or dinner here and get stuff for tomorrow. read more

The chow fun was good although it didnt taste spicy at all. The beef to noodle ratio was a little off; we quickly ate through all the tidbits of meat.
