Quart Egg Drop Soup
Natalia W.

DOORDASH ORDER I have never visited the inside of ChinaOne. On a Friday during lunchtime, I ordered through DD. I made a special request on the Lunch Honey Garlic Chicken wings that they be fried hard with the sauce on the side. Most restaurants do not even allow customers to leave special requests on DD. China 1 did & they honored my request The egg drop soup & chicken wings arrived piping hot. I had to wait for both to cool down before I dug in The honey garlic sauce was perfectly sweet & savory. The flats of the chicken wings were perfect. However, the drumsticks were a little too meaty for me. If I had ordered all flats this would've been a 5 star review. My lunch meal also came with pork fried rice which was as delicious as everything else. I had to leave a review because the current ones were not doing this place justice. For the price & convenience, I would 100% come back for those wings & some more soup. This is not high end Chinese food. This is street New York style Chinese food that is hot, simple, cheap, and delicious. Pick something simple.

Boneless Spareribs

Tried China One for the first time today for lunch and food was very good. We ordered takeout from here as we heard some good things and wanted to give it a shot. Food was hot, fresh and the portions were good as well. Chicken and broccoli had really good flavor and boneless spareribs did as well. Boneless spareribs were very good as the meat was cooked really well, had a nice char which I like. The egg roll was also really good too, cooked nice a crispy. Overall flavors were good, all the veggies were fresh and still had a good bite to them. I think this is a good spot if you're looking for some all around good, quick Chinese food in tbe area.

Spicy tuna roll

I ordered delivery from here. Everything came hot and the containers kept the food without condensation. I'll start with the sushi. It was not great. There wasn't much flavor and there was nothing special. I ordered the spicy tuna roll and the fried bagel roll. There was no spice whatsoever on the spicy tuna roll. The fried bagel roll just tasted like fried dough with cream cheese. I would not order sushi from this place again. I ordered the egg roll and thought it was great. It had a good crunch and was not greasy at all. I am not a rice fan so I always order vegetable lo mein as my side. It was bland. The texture was perfect and I was cooked well, but there was no flavor. I like a chicken dish and a beef dish. I ordered the General Tso chicken (spicy). It had no flavor. If my eyes were closed I wouldn't be able to tell you which chicken flavor it was. There was no spice. I would say it was a great portion size. The Szechuan beef had some actual flavor. I'd order that again. However I was disappointed by the portion size, compared to the chicken. I honestly probably would not order from here again.

I was a regular patron at China One until 2014 (they verified this with their order system when I asked when placing this order), and got delivery to my home when I had a craving for Chinese food. Note, this is a delivery or pick up operation, not a dine in despite a few scattered tables inside the restaurant. Those tables are mainly used for people to sit down and wait until their food is ready. If you feel tempted to eat there, please do not. Trust my advice, don't be deceived by those tables. See my pic. On this recent visit I satisfied my craving for egg foo young, which is basically an egg omelette with all sorts of Chinese ingredients added. But you already knew that. I ordered the roast Pork egg foo young as a dinner special. I received two huge omelettes, both in diameter and thickness, a large portion of roast pork fried rice and an egg roll. This was $10.!The egg foo young hit the spot, I had one omelette when I got home and ate the other one the following day for an early lunch. It was impossible to eat both of them without feeling like a total pig. I was already feeling like a partial pig. Especially with all the pork. Yes, as Britt Z mentioned, the egg roll was greasy but it wasn't totally tasteless. I'd say it was closer to bland but did have some nice crunchy veggies inside and was very crisp. And fresh. I was so hungry, I ate it in the car before driving home. I also ordered a side hot and sour soup for $1 add on, and the soup was good, but I would have preferred it to be even more spicy or sour. The small bag of crunchy noodles for the soup was fresh and very crunchy. Also had steamed chicken (all white meat) and broccoli, with a generous side of roast pork fried rice, and egg roll. It was $10, and the portion size was huge. The chicken was steamed just as it should have been as were the large pieces of broccoli. Sauce for all dishes was served on the side as requested, and we didn't use it. We wanted to taste the food and not the heavy sauce. Ordered an appetizer of fried pork dumplings and they were quite good although I would have preferred if they were a bit more seared. They were juicy on the inside with a large amount of pork. I believe it was $6 for 6. Their fortune cookies were fresh but I didn't like the fortunes so I was disappointed, if you catch my point. They package all their food very well, always have. They use high quality plastic containers with secure lids and use cardboard inside the bag to make sure the containers don't slide around. If you want chop sticks or napkins ask for them, as they are not automatically placed in your bag. You can also ask for "house special mustard", which is provided in a small plastic container and is very tangy and sharp, a real treat. You must ask for it, not provided automatically. Would I order here again? Yes, if I were not able to control my cravings and knew in advance I was going to pig out and not feel guilty about it. For now, cravings satisfied and you can check them out and see what you think. Side note, they do have an extensive sushi menu but frankly, my recollection from pre-2014 ordering that the sushi was decent, not outstanding, and with so many sushi places in the area, why order it here, unless it's just an add on item for the Chinese food. Enjoy.

Tofu

Is this the greatest Chinese food spot ever? No! But believe me, you can do so much worse; even compared to some other local spots (which I won't even mention). I showed up for my order and the place was kind of hectic with delivery guys and orders, always a good sign for a Chinese restaurant. We ordered the orange chicken and a tofu dish. The chicken was heavily breaded but decent. The tofu was surprisingly good and very flavorful (I found a bunch of bacon in the sauce). Not sure if that was a mistake or by design but it worked for be. It satisfied my craving for Chinese food and I'll probably be back.

Hope in the wall sushi place in South Boca. Surprisingly good for the gassed you see when walking in. Fast, service, good food. If you're on the area for something fast, order at the counter, inexpensive, great for the value, the stop here. Placed seemed very frequented while I was there. Check them out.

The J20 Party Platter comes with Miso soup or salad. Make sure you specify with delivery otherwise they won't give you either.

So normally I write pretty in-depth reviews which I think are fair and balanced. However, I'm going to skip most of that this time. I will say that I and several friends usually have a least of couple of get-togethers every month where we order from China One for delivery. The bill for each gathering is usually in the $70-$100 range. On Saturday I ordered about $70 worth of food from China One for delivery for a little dinner gathering. I ordered the J20 Party Platter which is a mixture of six different rolls and comes with a choice of either Miso soup or salad. I also ordered several additional dishes such as beef chow fun and stir-fried seasonal vegetables. The food came on time and tasted good as usual. It's not the best sushi/Chinese takeout you'll ever have but it is good and reasonably priced. The J20 Party Platter comes with your choice of either Miso soup or salad. I did not specify in my order which one I wanted and simply assumed they would default to the Miso soup. When the food arrived, there was no Miso soup or salad. I called up China One to ask them if they forgot. The response I got was that since I didn't specify, they didn't know which to give me. I asked why they didn't just include one or the other and their response was "We don't want to give the customer something they don't want." Umm, so the answer is just not to give them either?? I know we're not talking about a high dollar item here but China One's response was RIDICULOUS. They didn't offer anything (a couple of egg rolls next time I ordered would have been fine) or apologize. I would have been happy with either. So as a consequence of this, it will be a while before I order from China One again. It's not the fact that they left the soup or the salad out that angered me. That's not too big a deal. However, their response to me when I called them about it wasn't so good.

This is your typical Chinese take out place except they also offer sushi. They have a few tables if you need to eat here. The waiting area was clean but from what I could see behind the curtain where they cook made me not want to look too closely. I was in the area and stopped in for a quick take out lunch. Even though it was Sunday at lunch time they don't offer lunch on Sunday's. I was told that if I wanted lunch I would have to wait there until Monday. Very funny. I ended up ordering the dinner portion of cashew chicken. I was looking for one of those combo type meals where you get an entree, egg roll, and won ton soup. I thought that was what I was ordering but apparently their was a miscommunication. Dinner entree don't come with soup. To their credit my meal was ready very quickly. The food was okay, a lot of rice with a little chicken. The egg roll was really dry. I wouldn't go out of my way to order food from here again but it got the job done.

There was plenty of parking in front of this executive park where Red Pine in the lobby. Happy hour is daily from three until six and all day on Sunday. The menu includes discounted cocktails, and five small appetizer samples to start. When we arrived, the bar was full, there wasn't a seat to be had. The restaurant is beautiful, it felt like an Asian vacation. We were seated st a comfortable round table with a big Lazy Susan in the center. We started by sharing chicken dumplings that were full of flavor, crispy sticky spareribs that were cooked to perfection and eggrolls with a mustard and duck sauce. For dinner, we shared an order of duck two ways with angry pig fried rice. The fried rice was filled with vegetables and juicy chunks of meat. I wrapped the Peking Duck in the four wrappers with vegetable and hoisin sauce it was awesome. The second pork was wrapped in lettuce, leaves with pickled daikon and other flavorful crispy vegetables. Tucked away, low key, almost hiding in plain sight. You walk in expecting corporate coffee and awkward small talk... and instead you find upscale, elegant Chinese food that feels like it belongs in a much flashier zip code. This place is worth the hunt. Inside, it's polished without being stiff. Clean, calm, and quietly confident. The kind of place that doesn't need to shout because it knows exactly what it's doing. We went family style, which is the move here. Portions are generous, built for sharing, built for trying everything, built for making bad decisions in the best way. Started with the wonton soup. The wontons themselves? Excellent. Tender, flavorful, clearly made with care. The broth had depth, real flavor, not just salty filler. Only note... I wish it came out hotter. It showed up just above room temp, which felt like a missed opportunity because the flavor deserved better. Then the pork egg rolls showed up and completely stole the show. Game over. Crispy on the outside, not greasy, packed with flavor. Every bite hit. This wasn't just a good egg roll. This was the best egg roll I've had in Florida. No debate. No hesitation. Crown it. Shrimp shu mai came next and changed the pace in the best way. Light, delicate, elegant. Like the calm after the egg roll storm. Then the mains landed. Beef with sesame and broccoli. Absolute winner. Cooked just right, balanced, rich without being heavy. The kind of dish you keep going back to even when you tell yourself you're full. Chicken lo mein sealed the deal. No gimmicks. Just done right. Noodles had the perfect texture, everything balanced, everything working. Final verdict. Five stars. Easy. Hidden location. Elevated food. One minor temperature hiccup that didn't stand a chance against how good everything else was. Find it. Order too much. Thank me later.

You start by picking a soup of choice and then you gather the food you need, cook it yourself in the pot and there are instructions and available on the wall for cooking times. It's relatively straightforward. Be careful with how much you grab as they will charge you for any excessive leftovers. I got the tom kha and my fiance got the tom yum. He found his soup to be a little on the lemony side for his taste but I think that's just a preference not a reflection of the quality of the soup. I loved my coconutty tom kha. Our waiter showed us how to operate the dial and gave us information about cooking time recommendation. We ordered some hot tea and had a wonderful time. The buffet appeared to be clean and the food fresh and well kept. I tried a variety of meat as well as seafood. The shrimp had a little bit of a previously frozen kind of taste but the scallops were excellent. Going in with my review,*disclosure: not the largest fan of Chinese food* but the food was great! The chicken with garlic sauce had a well balanced sauce, chicken was very tender, fresh assortment of vegetables, garlic wasn't overpowering! My favorite dish of the night was the chow fun! It had those bouncy chewy noodles, savory sauce, and tender strips of char siu pork! The spareribs (char siu) had a sticky delectable salty sweet bbq sauce, and were on the bone tender! Only critique for the night was that the hot & sour soup could've used more white pepper or that hot factor. Egg drop had tender swirls of silky egg and a refreshing light broth. The wonton soup had a clear flavorful broth, nicely cooked wontons; for extra flavor I add the hot mustard IYKYK! The eggrolls weren't your typical hollow shells as they were packed with minced pork meat and tasted fresh fried to order! Overall, we were very pleased with both the food and service tonight. For these reasons, we'd be happy to give Mr. Shens 5/5 stars!
