    Quart Egg Drop Soup
    Natalia W.

DOORDASH ORDER I have never visited the inside of ChinaOne. On a Friday during lunchtime, I ordered through DD. I made a special request on the Lunch Honey Garlic Chicken wings that they be fried hard with the sauce on the side. Most restaurants do not even allow customers to leave special requests on DD. China 1 did & they honored my request The egg drop soup & chicken wings arrived piping hot. I had to wait for both to cool down before I dug in The honey garlic sauce was perfectly sweet & savory. The flats of the chicken wings were perfect. However, the drumsticks were a little too meaty for me. If I had ordered all flats this would've been a 5 star review. My lunch meal also came with pork fried rice which was as delicious as everything else. I had to leave a review because the current ones were not doing this place justice. For the price & convenience, I would 100% come back for those wings & some more soup. This is not high end Chinese food. This is street New York style Chinese food that is hot, simple, cheap, and delicious. Pick something simple.

    Boneless Spareribs

Tried China One for the first time today for lunch and food was very good. We ordered takeout from here as we heard some good things and wanted to give it a shot. Food was hot, fresh and the portions were good as well. Chicken and broccoli had really good flavor and boneless spareribs did as well. Boneless spareribs were very good as the meat was cooked really well, had a nice char which I like. The egg roll was also really good too, cooked nice a crispy. Overall flavors were good, all the veggies were fresh and still had a good bite to them. I think this is a good spot if you're looking for some all around good, quick Chinese food in tbe area.

I ordered delivery from here. Everything came hot and the containers kept the food without condensation. I'll start with the sushi. It was not great. There wasn't much flavor and there was nothing special. I ordered the spicy tuna roll and the fried bagel roll. There was no spice whatsoever on the spicy tuna roll. The fried bagel roll just tasted like fried dough with cream cheese. I would not order sushi from this place again. I ordered the egg roll and thought it was great. It had a good crunch and was not greasy at all. I am not a rice fan so I always order vegetable lo mein as my side. It was bland. The texture was perfect and I was cooked well, but there was no flavor. I like a chicken dish and a beef dish. I ordered the General Tso chicken (spicy). It had no flavor. If my eyes were closed I wouldn't be able to tell you which chicken flavor it was. There was no spice. I would say it was a great portion size. The Szechuan beef had some actual flavor. I'd order that again. However I was disappointed by the portion size, compared to the chicken. I honestly probably would not order from here again.

I was a regular patron at China One until 2014 (they verified this with their order system when I asked when placing this order), and got delivery to my home when I had a craving for Chinese food. Note, this is a delivery or pick up operation, not a dine in despite a few scattered tables inside the restaurant. Those tables are mainly used for people to sit down and wait until their food is ready. If you feel tempted to eat there, please do not. Trust my advice, don't be deceived by those tables. See my pic. On this recent visit I satisfied my craving for egg foo young, which is basically an egg omelette with all sorts of Chinese ingredients added. But you already knew that. I ordered the roast Pork egg foo young as a dinner special. I received two huge omelettes, both in diameter and thickness, a large portion of roast pork fried rice and an egg roll. This was $10.!The egg foo young hit the spot, I had one omelette when I got home and ate the other one the following day for an early lunch. It was impossible to eat both of them without feeling like a total pig. I was already feeling like a partial pig. Especially with all the pork. Yes, as Britt Z mentioned, the egg roll was greasy but it wasn't totally tasteless. I'd say it was closer to bland but did have some nice crunchy veggies inside and was very crisp. And fresh. I was so hungry, I ate it in the car before driving home. I also ordered a side hot and sour soup for $1 add on, and the soup was good, but I would have preferred it to be even more spicy or sour. The small bag of crunchy noodles for the soup was fresh and very crunchy. Also had steamed chicken (all white meat) and broccoli, with a generous side of roast pork fried rice, and egg roll. It was $10, and the portion size was huge. The chicken was steamed just as it should have been as were the large pieces of broccoli. Sauce for all dishes was served on the side as requested, and we didn't use it. We wanted to taste the food and not the heavy sauce. Ordered an appetizer of fried pork dumplings and they were quite good although I would have preferred if they were a bit more seared. They were juicy on the inside with a large amount of pork. I believe it was $6 for 6. Their fortune cookies were fresh but I didn't like the fortunes so I was disappointed, if you catch my point. They package all their food very well, always have. They use high quality plastic containers with secure lids and use cardboard inside the bag to make sure the containers don't slide around. If you want chop sticks or napkins ask for them, as they are not automatically placed in your bag. You can also ask for "house special mustard", which is provided in a small plastic container and is very tangy and sharp, a real treat. You must ask for it, not provided automatically. Would I order here again? Yes, if I were not able to control my cravings and knew in advance I was going to pig out and not feel guilty about it. For now, cravings satisfied and you can check them out and see what you think. Side note, they do have an extensive sushi menu but frankly, my recollection from pre-2014 ordering that the sushi was decent, not outstanding, and with so many sushi places in the area, why order it here, unless it's just an add on item for the Chinese food. Enjoy.

Is this the greatest Chinese food spot ever? No! But believe me, you can do so much worse; even compared to some other local spots (which I won't even mention). I showed up for my order and the place was kind of hectic with delivery guys and orders, always a good sign for a Chinese restaurant. We ordered the orange chicken and a tofu dish. The chicken was heavily breaded but decent. The tofu was surprisingly good and very flavorful (I found a bunch of bacon in the sauce). Not sure if that was a mistake or by design but it worked for be. It satisfied my craving for Chinese food and I'll probably be back.

Hope in the wall sushi place in South Boca. Surprisingly good for the gassed you see when walking in. Fast, service, good food. If you're on the area for something fast, order at the counter, inexpensive, great for the value, the stop here. Placed seemed very frequented while I was there. Check them out.

The J20 Party Platter comes with Miso soup or salad. Make sure you specify with delivery otherwise they won't give you either.

So normally I write pretty in-depth reviews which I think are fair and balanced. However, I'm going to skip most of that this time. I will say that I and several friends usually have a least of couple of get-togethers every month where we order from China One for delivery. The bill for each gathering is usually in the $70-$100 range. On Saturday I ordered about $70 worth of food from China One for delivery for a little dinner gathering. I ordered the J20 Party Platter which is a mixture of six different rolls and comes with a choice of either Miso soup or salad. I also ordered several additional dishes such as beef chow fun and stir-fried seasonal vegetables. The food came on time and tasted good as usual. It's not the best sushi/Chinese takeout you'll ever have but it is good and reasonably priced. The J20 Party Platter comes with your choice of either Miso soup or salad. I did not specify in my order which one I wanted and simply assumed they would default to the Miso soup. When the food arrived, there was no Miso soup or salad. I called up China One to ask them if they forgot. The response I got was that since I didn't specify, they didn't know which to give me. I asked why they didn't just include one or the other and their response was "We don't want to give the customer something they don't want." Umm, so the answer is just not to give them either?? I know we're not talking about a high dollar item here but China One's response was RIDICULOUS. They didn't offer anything (a couple of egg rolls next time I ordered would have been fine) or apologize. I would have been happy with either. So as a consequence of this, it will be a while before I order from China One again. It's not the fact that they left the soup or the salad out that angered me. That's not too big a deal. However, their response to me when I called them about it wasn't so good.

This is your typical Chinese take out place except they also offer sushi. They have a few tables if you need to eat here. The waiting area was clean but from what I could see behind the curtain where they cook made me not want to look too closely. I was in the area and stopped in for a quick take out lunch. Even though it was Sunday at lunch time they don't offer lunch on Sunday's. I was told that if I wanted lunch I would have to wait there until Monday. Very funny. I ended up ordering the dinner portion of cashew chicken. I was looking for one of those combo type meals where you get an entree, egg roll, and won ton soup. I thought that was what I was ordering but apparently their was a miscommunication. Dinner entree don't come with soup. To their credit my meal was ready very quickly. The food was okay, a lot of rice with a little chicken. The egg roll was really dry. I wouldn't go out of my way to order food from here again but it got the job done.

The sushi was fresh, flavorful, and definitely the highlight of the night. The restaurant itself was also really beautiful and had a nice upscale vibe. Unfortunately, the cleanliness and service at the beginning didn't match the atmosphere. When we first sat down, one of our glasses had a lot of scratches and the other one was visibly dirty. When I asked for them to be changed, the waitress initially insisted it was just scratches, even though one was clearly dirty. She eventually replaced them, but the new glass was also heavily scratched, and what bothered me most was that she took the dirty glass and placed it on another table instead of taking it to be cleaned. The attitude at first felt a little dismissive and rude, although she did become much more polite and helpful as the night went on. Another downside was the bathroom cleanliness. It smelled like a public restroom, which really didn't fit the fancy atmosphere the restaurant was trying to create. Overall, the food was genuinely excellent, but for a place that looks this nice, the cleanliness and attention to detail should be much better.

It took over 30mins for these appetizers and nigiri's to be served. Servers were friendly but unprofessional, looked very lost. The sushi chef was Korean, but definitely not Korean sushi chef quality work. There are plenty of places you can go to for equal or better quality sushi for better prices. The toro had Clorox scent as if it had been placed on a cutting board that has been wiped with a sports towel that was soaked in Clorox. The Uni was fresh but the amount was disappointing. I am uploading pictures from different places for comparison. Anyway no need for me to say anything else. Won't be returning, ever. I could barely swallow the 2 pieces of nigiri and app that was drowning in salty ponzu sauce. I will leave this place for people who dont know how to enjoy some good sushi. After they are ready for you they will seat you at the bar and they will serve you the food. I will agree with a lot of the other reviews. I wish it was a little more roomy. You are elbow to elbow like on a spirit flight. I think removing one seat from the bar would give a lot of room for the others. Which is kind of poor design because the waiting area is quite large compared to the bar too where everyone is served. Sushi by bou has a pre set menu so it's technically not true omakase since it means "I leave it to you," the chef. But everyone gets the same thing so it's not really different if you go again. With all of that said, the food is still great. The quality of sushi is high and the cuts are solid. Service is great because they are right in front of you so you can just ask if you need something. Seems like there are more workers than customers really. Would definitely go again if I wanted some good sushi.

Maybe it's quieter outside but those tables are right next to the street. We had to yell to hear each other. Our server Sebastian was so pushy and constantly upselling us. As soon as we sat down, he asked whether we wanted still or sparkling water, but that question should always have 3 options: still, sparkling, or tap? He then recommended the signature omakase, the most expensive thing on the menu. When he came back to take our order, he made a big pitch of today's rib special. When my husband ordered the 8-piece nigiri, he pushed us to upgrade to the 12-piece option. As we were eating, he asked us what else we wanted to order. We ordered $130 of food for 2 people...seriously? We hadn't even finished yet to gauge if we were still hungry. I know that tips are a percentage of the bill, but you would've thought this kid was getting a commission on top of his tip or something. It rubbed us the wrong way. The tuna crispy rice was $5 per piece and the rice was weirdly chewy. Wouldn't order it again. The nigiri were the highlight of the meal. Each piece felt balanced and the sushi rice was good. We ordered 3 rolls: toro toro, scallop, and yellowtail. All were forgettable and expensive for what they were. The yellowtail roll was bland, which is probably why there's a chili ponzu sauce to go with it because otherwise all you can taste is pear, which isn't a flavor I'm looking for in sushi. We ended our meal with scallop tacos, which were good but microscopic and pricey ($17 for 2 tacos). Each one is a bite and a half. It took a while to flag down Sebastian for the bill, so we were stuck in the din of the restaurant for longer than we liked. If the restaurant's filling up, wouldn't you want to turn our table and seat new guests? My husband made a note on the res that it was my birthday, but it was ignored. Maybe we would've had a better experience with a different waiter, but this was a disappointing meal and service.

I posted over 25 pictures of my experience below please have a look and let me know if you have any questions. We were a party of 3 and in order to reserve our spots we had to make a separate deposit of $50 per person. After your meal the deposit either can get refunded or put toward your meal. The food, the ambiance, and service was out of this world. The fish tasted like butter. The sashimi was unlike any sashimi I've ever had. We also had a lovely tasting of cherry sake and even that was delicious too. Definitely give Taki a try for your next date night, Valentine's Day, Anniversary, or any occasion!

Taki Omakase in Boca Raton is fine dining at its absolute best…read more This intimate, small restaurant offers a true omakase experience with a private chef, making every moment feel exclusive and personal. Reservations are required well in advance, and there are 2 seatings daily, 6pm and 9pm, each hosting roughly 7 couples, which keeps the atmosphere serene and intentional. From the moment we arrived we were greeted by the entire staff and seated immediately. We were the first to arrive, so I took the opportunity to admire and take pictures of the space before others arrived. The interior is stunning, breathtaking, and transports you straight to Japan! There's a beautiful private room the back which holds up to 8 guests and the personal chef and low to the group Japanese style seating. On the night we dined, we enjoyed an 18 course omakase tasting, paired with 4 sake tastings. The four sake selections were all exceptional, smooth and refined and unforgettable, even though I regret not capturing each of their names. The meal began with one of the most delicious bites I've ever had, king crab served over a warm and decedent custard. From there each course built on the last. We tasted a variety of salmons, tunas; some completely raw, and some aged to perfection for 14 days. Along with snapper, beautifully grilled Chilean sea bass, and many other crafted dishes. I tried Uni for the first time, and I finally understand why it is referred too as 'ice cream of the sea'. The taste, texture and aroma were all exquisite, creamy, delicate and truly memorable. The experience ended with a warm miso soup, followed by a refreshing melon wedge, and a red bean ice cream sandwiched between two very flaky wafers. Every single bite left me in awe. The chefs knife skills, the precision, the presentation, the simplicity of certain dishes which still packed powerful flavors, it all showcased the artistry of true Japanese fine dining. This was more than dinner, it was an experience. My absolute favorite dish? The A5 Wagu. It was heave on earth, melt in your mouth perfection. If you appreciate fine dining, exquisite flavors, culinarily history, and the craft behind aged, cured and meticulously prepared food, Taki Omakase is an unforgettable experience that you will love from start to finish.
