China House - Happiness - Chinese Near Me - Isanti, Minnesota

I eat here at least twice a month, favorite chinese place. everyone is always very nice and friendly and great food!

I've lived here for about 3 1/2 years, and got takeout several times from this place. Over the last year, they've started breading everything, and the quality of food has taken a downturn. I really hope that it gets better, so I could start going again. read more

Ordered sesame chicken, so tough that it was not edible. Other times, great but seemed to have changed.

Food has always tastes so good from here. I have ordered dinner and done their tiny lunch buffet. Service is great. The atmosphere is basically like most Chinese takeout places but very clean. read more

I am visiting Isanti overnight for a meeting with a customer. It's a fairly small town with a very limited selection of restaurants. I decided to give China House a try. I walked from my hotel to the restaurant, and wasn't terribly impressed with the exterior appearance nor the limited interior volume. I wasn't sure if I had made the right choice, since the sidewalk immediately outside the entrance was removed and in its place was dirt with a rubber mat. I ordered the general Tso's chicken with white rice to go. I was told it would be about 15 minutes. Perfect, since I had been in a car for 4.5 hours and wanted to walk around town a bit. I walked down the road several blocks, turned around and came back. When I arrived back at the restaurant, my order was ready. I carried it back to my hotel room. In spite of the disheartening appearance of the restaurant, the food was excellent. It beat my expectations by a wide margin. The chicken was cooked perfectly, not overdone and the batter had a nice crispness to it. The broccoli was also top notch, not all slimy and rubbery from being over cooked like many restaurants offer. The chicken meat was dark meat with good flavor, and was free of hard bits of gristle or other unfavorable characteristics. If I visit Isanti again, I will order from China House again. read more

I have been going there at least 10 yrs. Use to be awesome. Had a stroke so didnt go awhile. Tried today, aweful aweful. Odered Honey nut shrimp and got 2 pieces of brocholi, Shrimp was reheated in dirty oil (deepfried) white sauce was brown and no taste at all think refried also. Ordered house rice and got some pan fried something. Made to look like a fried pancake with 3 sauces. Flat no taste and I think refried in pan oil. Never never again use to be a treat for me was bragging to friend about place. Never do that again. Could not understand person on phone between 2 of us here. He was rude also hung up on us! read more

Been going here for the past several months and the food has always been good and consistent Normally get the same order of chicken fried rice and Szechuan shrimp and chicken so I can comment on other meals but would assume they're good as well read more

LOVE LOVE LOVE!! Food is amazing and pretty fast to get your orders. We did have to wait the last time we went but it was Valentine's Day and lots of ppl had our same idea because the food is soooo good!! Also nice ppl too. read more

Great food, good service. Many individuals from out of town have mentioned they like this place!

Called in an order because google and Yelp both say they're open until 9:30pm. They answered, said "we're closed" and then hung up. Super rude and if you're closed, change your hours to reflect that read more

The food is very good and the portions substantial. There is little seating, so it's basically takeout. I wish they could expand into a restaurant. read more

usually this place is my absolute fave. I come here constantly and get the same order but recently I've came here with my boyfriend and the gentleman told us itd be a 10 minute wait which is fine because that's what we usually expect until it took 30 minutes to get our food while 8 different cars stopped in and ordered at the counter and they all got there food while we where ignored read more

Okay, I'm done being mad. I got over it. I love the egg foo young :-).:-) :-) :-) :-) :-) read more

China House - a sign on the side of a building - Chinese Near Me - Isanti, Minnesota

Our family continues to love China House. They have worked so hard to continue serving delicious food to the community during a pandemic. It can get really busy and backed up in the lobby due to trying to follow guidelines. If you are ordering during dinner time, be prepared to wait up to 45 minutes. I suggest ordering ahead and know it will take 30+ minutes during peak dinner time hours (4:30-6:30). They are working super hard and doing their best to get meals out fast and orders right. That has improved since my last review. Please be kind and patient. The food has always been worth the wait for our family. Dumplings are delicious and so is the crab Rangoon. Everything we've tried on the menu we have loved. Especially the chicken/shrimp/ or beef and broccoli. Shrimp curry is awesome and so is the Kung Pao chicken. Enjoy!!! read more

Excellent service and excellent food. Food is always hot and fresh. Service is always excellent no matter what time of day I have been there. They take the precautions for Covid seriously which makes the take- out experience better than waiting in line at a drive-through fast food joint! Live the fried shrimp, won tons and kong pou and general tso chicken. read more

Tried it two more times since and the food has been much better! Food is more fresh and steaming hot. I highly recommend the house fried rice, veggie Lo Mein, crab rangoons, orange chicken and sweet and sour chicken. Delicious. read more

The food is always tasty and the family that runs the business is very friendly. I highly recommend China House. Keep up the great work!!

The food is amazing, the portions are huge, and the staff is so kind. I look forward to our China House takeout nights!

Always friendly service on phone and in person. Food is always fresh. Amazing for how they've kept up during Covid and kept service safe. Love how this business and owners have become apart of our community. Thank you! read more

The food was disgusting. I've never had such bad Chinese food. It made me sick after eating read more

Ugh- while I hate to write this review, I feel I must! I ordered my family a ton of food this last week. Everything was pretty tasty with the exception of my walnut shrimp... it was a bad bad decision. I ate a few bites and chucked it because it seemed under cooked- like the breading was Chalky?! I cut into one of the pieces, before I threw it is the garbage, only to find the shrimp inside the breading was half blue still. I was violently ill for the rest of the night- no joke. While I am sure they were busy and I would like to extend patience and understanding- uncooked seafood is a bad plan. I hope they improve but I will not be taking the chance by eating their food again. read more

The service is good and the food is made fresh very quickly. The prices are too much for the quality compared to some competitors. The dishes we have tried are mediocre. read more

Don't order any dish with beef. I ordered the beef and broccoli and the beef was so tough to chew. The broccolis were big with long stem. Also order the house fried rice and house Lo mein. Pretty decent. Fried rice didn't have that much flavor. read more

Not too much of a fan of their Chow Mein. It's a lot of cabbage and sauce and barely any meat. read more

We tried take out on the recommendation of friends. Loved it. A little hidden gem for good Chinese food in our small town. Fried cheese sticks and cream cheese wontons were the stars of the show. The rest was very good too - curry noodles, general tso chicken; lo mein. It was packaged so well for takeout too!! No spills on the way home and it was still hot when I unpackaged at home. they even gave us free Chinese donuts (looooved them, thank you!). The white rice was sticky which we love. We don't eat Chinese often but this local place will be out go-to now. read more

I could live off of Chinese food because I love it so much and this was the most disgusting food I've ever had. The service was very rude and I took two bites and literally spit it out and threw away $13 worth of food. Never again would I go there. read more

I'm going to give this Five stars to off set the first review that gave zero. The zero star review did highlight the fact the food is very good. They are a great family business and you are missing out if you don't give them a try. Cooked to order and flavorful food!!!! read more

Best Authentic Chinese restaurant. Owners are from Chinatown NYC. Food portions are great. Lunch and dinner specials are nicely price and you get a lot in servings. You can see them make your phone right after you order. So always fresh food. I would highly recommend. PS... reasonable prices for trays of food. My go to for pot luck events when I don't have time to cook! read more

Great value for Chinese food, or any local food considering alternatives. Value=(price*quantity*quality). The wontons are great, along with the combination platter and orange chicken. read more

A decent option, considering the few choices available in the area. Spring rolls are great!

VERY GOOD food, the only thing that would make this place better would be if they delivered!

Had sweet and sour chicken with cream cheese wontons. Both were great and felt like my $10 went a long way. Nice to have a place like this in the area!!! read more

Very expensive. The chow Mein doesn't look or taste like chow Mein. and they use dark chewy chicken in the sesame chicken. The best part of the food was the fortune cookie. Would not recommend this place. read more

The staff at China House are so sweet and kind! They always over stuff the containers...you really get a lot for your money. The orange chicken is so yummy, as are the egg rolls and chicken fried rice. We like the teriyaki chicken skewers as well. Much better Chinese food than the old roach infested Mandarin Q in Cambridge!! read more

Marguerite your just wrong.. you can't give someone a chance, she offered to make it right by you.. still you put them down.. and then say how great the food is? They know me well there, no mistakes.. no language barrier.. no scam, just great food read more
