Service was friendly and fast, and food was indeed yummy! We had the chicken pad Thai and shrimp…read morespring rolls. Sauces for spring rolls was tasty.

We live in the area and were really craving pho. We typically go to Pho & Boat Noodle because it…read moreconsistently satisfies that craving, but since we didn't feel like driving 30 minutes, we decided to give this place a try since it was closer. We arrived a little after opening time and were seated right away, but it took a little over 45 minutes before our food arrived, which felt quite long considering it wasn't very busy yet. We started with the egg rolls. They were plated nicely and looked appealing when they came out. The rolls themselves were loosely wrapped, which made the wrappers a bit soggy rather than crispy, but the flavor of the filling was actually quite good. We also ordered sticky rice, which unfortunately was not sticky at all. It had more of a regular rice texture. I'm not sure if this is a different preparation style compared to traditional sticky rice I'm used to, but it wasn't what I expected. We also ordered the sticky rice to go with the beef namtok, but it came out with the egg rolls instead of with the entrée, which felt a bit odd timing-wise. The pho boat noodle was the highlight of the meal--9/10. The broth had good depth of flavor and the dish overall was satisfying. One thing that would elevate the experience is having condiments and herbs readily available, such as fresh basil, lime, and bean sprouts served on the side so customers can add them to their preference rather than having them already mixed in. The beef namtok, however, was disappointing--2/10. The flavor profile itself was there, but the beef was very tough and tasted boiled. Traditionally, namtok that I've had is grilled and thinly sliced, which gives it a smoky flavor and more tender texture with the seasoning absorbing into the meat. This version didn't quite deliver that same experience. Overall, the meal wasn't terrible, but there are definitely areas that could be improved. The staff and owner were extremely friendly and welcoming, which we really appreciated. I would also love to see the atmosphere better reflect the style of food being served, as that can really enhance the overall dining experience.
