Online ordering is frustrating. It will not let you place an order without selecting a tip. You click no tip and there is no spot for you to place your order anymore. If you select a tip it automatically places your order. The food is fantastic but I am driving to pick up my food, not dining in. I shouldn't be required to pay a tip to get my food. read more

Always good food. Tried the Mochi Ice Cream today amongst other items. Very good. I've cream filled mochi, which from what I can tell is basically a gelatin or tapioca of sorts. Yummy anyhow. Came in for dinner with friends who are local and love this place. The menu was extensive and I was scared a bit that it offered too much and therefore would be mediocre. Wrong!!! We had a huge feast: egg rolls, crab rangoons, 3 sushi rolls and each ordered an entree. Everything was fantastic and we shared it family style. Our food started arriving less than 10 minutes after we ordered. The service was attentive and pleasant. I only had two sad thoughts... 1) no soup is included when you buy an entree, 2) egg rolls are purchased individually. Disgusting and very disappointing. I spent way too much money here to throw all of it away other than the cream cheese wontons. The meals were floating in sauce and the meat?! Barely any to be seen, I paid for a container of sauce and veggies and to add to it everything had mushrooms in it which I feel tainted the little flavor that it had. I will not be back. read more

Highly disappointed. I've been wanting to try this Chinese restaurant for years and finally decided to do so tonight. I ordered the chow mein, not very familiar with Chinese food besides Panda Express (not "real" Chinese food, I know). Imagine my surprise when I sit down to eat my vegetable chow mein and realize there are in fact no noodles in the dish, just a set of bagged crispy noodles. I was disappointed so much so that I was going to call and complain but decided otherwise as the description on the website (in small letters) reads crispy noodles. I've never known a Chinese restaurant to not include soft noodles in there dishes but what do I know I've only ever been to two authentic Chinese restaurants. We just moved to the area and were bummed about not having access to diverse food options at first. But then we discovered this place and are very pleased. All the food including the sushi, pad thai, soup, and wontons had great flavor, were nice and hot, and came surprisingly quickly! Also the waitresses were extremely pleasant and so great with our kid. Will definitely comeback. Not sure why this place has 3.5 stars. Meh. I came to visit my sister and she wanted to try this place out. The general Taos chicken was a lot of breading and no chicken, rice was very bland, egg roll... was an egg roll. Everything tasted like it was frozen or pre made a while ago. The dumplings were probably my favorite. My sister ordered the Buddha roll and said it was 8/10. Had an enjoyable dinner here the other evening. I'd been craving sushi for awhile so my friend took me here, and I'll be honest, my initial impression wasn't great. This place is tucked into a little strip mall, not somewhere I'd usually go looking for good sushi. Inside was kind of torn apart - floors and walls unfinished, that kind of thing, because they're in the middle of a remodel, but it looked quite clean despite this. The emptiness did make it a bit loud and echoey, unfortunately. The ambience wasn't super great, but this can be forgiven, remodels are nice, and I'd love to go back and see the place when it's finished. To start, we ordered cream cheese wanton and my friend ordered a miso soup, which I tasted. Both were delicious, piping hot and fresh. My friend ordered the roll of the day, which was the Lucky roll, and the rainbow roll, neither of which I tried, but both looked delicious. I ordered the Crazy roll, and a pork lo mein that I knew I'd just end up taking to go (I did, and it was delicious as leftovers). My roll was everything I wanted it to be, tasty, with a delicious sauce drizzled over the top and some small fried bits sprinkled over that to give it a pleasant crunch. The service was quick and efficient and, while I can't say I paid much attention to the staff, they were friendly and pleasant in our brief interaction. Pricing was about what I'd expect for decent, fairly simple sushi. Five stars for adequately satisfying my sushi craving. Hope to visit again! read more

I ordered: Futo Maki, very small in diameter with a large carrot running all the way through it - would not order again, check out photo, Crisp shrimp tempura roll - small diameter but good flavor White tuna, yellow tail, Tango, and Eal Sushi ( two pieces each) - hunk of rice fell apart on all pieces, thickness of the topping was very thin - truly maybe a 1/16 of an inch at best - Eal was small in length - Spent about $35.00 for take out - our local grocery store would have the same quality and selection for much less Would not recommend read more

Got takeout from here this last weekend. The food was really good! I got the volcano roll and it was excellent, i especially loved the presentation! I also got the chicken lo mein , it had tons of flavor and was enough for three meals. Egg roll was crispy and perfect! I love this place and have been going there since they opened. The owners are almost always on site working in both the kitchen and front of the house. They've built a great following and did a remodel last year providing more table seating. Also added a sushi bar with seating and have beer and wine available now. Service has always been good and the long term employees are common to see. The prices are good and portions sizes are suitable -we usually have leftovers~! Yes, we occasionally get some sushi rolled funky and loose, but that's what happens as employees are added to the team. We order often (at least once every two weeks) and have not had an issue with quality or service -even during their expansion and remodel. I recommend Joy Garden frequently! read more

we ordered takeout today and one of our meals was incorrect. When I called to request the correct meal the person taking phone orders informed me that I was incorrect and I was given exactly what I ordered. My speech is not always clear, so I asked them to place an order for chicken lo mein. (I received chicken chow mein, they sound close, I figured I just didn't annunciate well.) the person on the phone said they were to busy to talk to me and tried to hang up. I said "no..no.. wait I will pay for the lo mein"! She said she would not take my order and have someone call me back. she hung up on me. She also didn't take my phone number . My husband drove back up to the Joy Garden. (I really wanted the lo mein) He also attempted to order the chicken lo mein, unfortunately he is devilishly handsome and they recognized him! The person working said she could not take his order and he needed to talk to the manager,but she was too busy to talk to him. My husband stated that he would just pay for the meal and did not want a refund. He just wanted the lo mein. But they still refused to take his order. They also have not called us back. long story short we did not get any lo mein. They have really good lo mein, if they will let you order it. read more
