Pretty good food. Too Cold AC. Very impersonal service. Large servings. I ordered General Tso's Chicken. it was very bland. Waitress said I should have specified "spicy". I have had it in a lot of restaurants and it was always spicy without asking for spicy. That's what General Tso's is, "spicy". My wife was happy with her order. Bathroom was not clean and on my way there to wash up, looked into the kitchen area which also was not clean. Cook and server argued loudly with each other while we ate. read more

King House has for several years offered the best Chinese food we've found this side of the Twin Cities. Compared to other area takeout, this is economical (one meal always provides us with two!) healthy, and above all, delicious. I was so hooked on the house lo mein that I could order nothing else for a year or two, but now it's the house chow mein for me, and my husband loves the the broccoli chicken. You can dine in here too, but carry out service looks pretty busy all the time. Still only a half hour from phone call till pick up most times. Closed Mondays. read more

Great food made fast and fresh. Friendly staff. We visit here often and plan to continue. Try the house version of your favorite dish-it's not on the menu but it's usually pretty great! You know where to find authentic Chinese? Small town Wisconsin, of course! The wonderful crew at King House, decked out in their matching "I HEART NY" shirts, are always positive and happy. The portion sizes are out of control, and because I'm such a classic American gluttonous piece of shit, I can eat it all in one setting. I wouldn't recommend it, unless you have nothing else on your agenda for the rest of the day. Lunch special runs at like $6, which is phenomenal for the quality and quantity. King House replaced Panda Express as my favorite Chinese establishment, which I never thought was possible. Now if King House ever made a buffet option, then it'd be game over. As far as Chinese food goes this as good as it gets for the area! For being in a small town you wouldn't think it would be very good but it's pretty good! I think the wontons and egg rolls are frozen like most Chinese restaurants but they taste much better. The wontons have a somewhat of a sweet taste and they are pretty big. The vegetables are streamed perfectly. We can usually get two meals out of the what you get so much and we usually only spend about 20 bucks. For the price it's pretty good food! Usually ready in about 15 to 30 min depending on how busy they are. If you eat at the restaurant the interior is pretty bad... The drinks are help yourself out of a cooler and came with water only its a Culligan type water cooler, kinda cheesy. Overall I like this place for some variety in town! The service is very friendly, hard Chinese accents they can be tough to understand but they understand you perfectly! Good go to place. read more

Found this place by accident while driving through Ellsworth. Great food and good service Was pleasantly surprised. Prices are great too.

I couldn't believe the taste is as close to a good NYC restaurant. I will definitely keep coming back to this gem.
