Best Thai style papaya! I always get the basil chicken served with a fried runny egg over rice and it's delicious. My kids enjoy the honey sriracha wings which have a tiny kick of heat. The pho is solid with good flavor. The service is always with a smile. It can get busy and have a bit of a wait so don't go when in a rush. read more

I can't believe I have never reviewed Hang's! When I lived in Menomonie, this was my go to eat in or take out. If I ever drive by Menomonie on 94, I stop by to get a meal :) We ate here ever since it was called Chias Market and moved buildings...! 10/10 recommend for anyone in Menomonie looking for local, family owned, authentic, delicious food (& affordable!!). I visit my boyfriend often who attends college at Stout. When I crave for Asian food, Hangs is as close as I can get in Menomonie. The service is always good. The food is usually good. I recommend their pho and the pork and bamboo dish, my two favorites. The pad thai (fried noodle) is a little too sweet for me. The fried rice is a little plain but with sriricha sauce on the side, its great. Def recommend! read more

The dishes here are decent if you're an Asian college student at UW Stout who is desperate for Asian food. I have went here now 3 times. The waiter has always been friendly and helpful and food has always been amazing. I see that some people have complained about wait time? Have you noticed there's only a few people that work here? Did you go on a Friday or Saturday when they're super busy? I was there yesterday with my daughter, and yes there was a bit of a wait. But in the other hand; they were super busy with take out and the restaurant was mostly full. Our food came in a incredibly reasonable amount of time considering everything going on. Stopped in here for early dinner/late lunch on a Saturday at 3 pm. It is located in a strip mall. I went with a Combo Pho XL and 2 spring rolls. The waitress said she was newer. I thought she was exagerating the size of the bowl. It was huge! The broth was good. I enjoyed the pork belly portion the best. There was a ton of noodles in it. I felt like as I kept moving the noodles around more and more of the combo kept coming from the depths of noodles. The spring rolls were tasty and were ordered as singles. My only qualm was it took a bit long to prepare the egg rolls and they were close to my Pho. I would have liked them early. 4 star food. 3 star with the service for the lack of timing with appetizers and refilling drinks. Solid stop! Service could be a bit quicker. read more

Hang's cuisines is a nice spot to grab a delicious meal. Not a very upscale restaurant or the best of service but the food is really good. I went with the chicken fried noodles today and thought they had good flavor, a little mild on the spice for me, and very large portions. I will say the best thing I had today is their egg rolls. Holy Cow probably the best egg rolls I have ever had! Perfect flake on the outside paired with an awesome inner and a little dipping sauce and you've got a perfect pairing! read more

Great food but better when you take it home with you. Eating at Hang's has always been very tasty and the atmosphere is just fine but don't make a date of it if you're on any sort of time crunch. Each time eating there my food took 30 to 40 minutes to be prepared, but takeout takes about 15. So pick it up and enjoy. read more

I like to think I'm somewhat hip (which by default I should refrain from using the word "hip"), so I found out they served pho and went in. Every time I asked about the PHO, they referred to it as "beef noodle soup." So here you have an SNL sketch, where the white guy is trying to respect a cultural staple, and the Asian people won't let me! The PHO (beef noodle soup or BFS) is amazing. Having had the pleasure of living in an Asian community, I never thought I would find PHO in Wisconsin, never mind that it's amazing! People have commented on the atmosphere. I understand it's no Culver's on the inside, but it is light, very clean and has a marketplace - so you can stock up on Sriracha and hoisin sauce without having to drive to Walmart to pick up Great Value Bamboo Shoots. read more

The food is alright. Only their papaya, cream cheese puff, spicy rice cake, egg roll, spring roll (not the sauce), fried rice and curry noodle are only good. The rest are decent but lack of flavor that I think they should revamp the other foods. I remember when it first open, the pho noodles tasted old. The broth was decent but the noodle tasted like they opened the bag of noodles for 2 years and it just have that taste that shouldn't be there. Their sour tom yum is way way too sour. Yes it said Sour but it's to the point where I mind as well buy a lemon and eat it with rice. As for the other food, same story of decent flavor but the food needs something to spiced it up or great new food. All in all, the food is great BUT I rather travel to eau Clair knowing that the other Asian restaurant, at least I know that 85 out of 100% of the food will taste great instead of gambling at Hangs if today their food will taste great and consistent from last time I ate the food that I like. I'm still supporting them (just the food I like) AND hoping they change the food or revamp it. read more

I went here with some staff members back in late January. This was my first time having the food there and even being inside. I have driven past it and always wanted to go there; it was a down day for my fellow Resident Advisors in the building. So we all wanted to go out to dinner, but our campus dining hall was not open. I have had fresh spring rolls back home from a Korean woman that make them the way she grew up making them in Korea. The Chia's spring rolls were good and so was the dipping sauce to go along with it. I ordered the Large Chicken Pho, and it was good! It was my second time ever having pho, and this was just as good as when I tried it a Vietnamese pho place back home in Nebraska. It had good flavour, and I loved that there were some chili paste and Siracha sauce. I would say the decor was a little dark, but it was kinda homey feeling at the same time with the soft purple walls. I finished my meal off with a bubble tea and I got the Thai tea flavour and I thought it was good. I was so confused at first by the tapioca beads on the bottom, but my friends, who had ordered them before, told me that it is normal. Overall, food was good and good-sized portions for the price you pay. The atmosphere was a little lacking, but my friends made up for it because we were the only people there and are all kind of obnoxious when we get to places together. I'm giving them 2 stars since I think it's hard to have a business that's non traditional chinese in small town USA and it's cheap. BUT really bland Pho and I could do without the mock crab meat and shrimp that haven't been peeled in my soup. The other meats were ok but they looked either leftover from something else or microwaved. Tons and tons of noodles compared to meat. Spring rolls were ok, barely any meat though as well and once again a ton of noodles. Also there was a show about parasites on the TV which the ladies next to me were commenting on so I tried helping them out and mentioned it. Just laughed and said our foods clean. GREAT! A welcome addition to the small midwestern town of Menomonie. This restaurant features a small, but entirely homemade (fresh!) menu of authentic Hmong and Chinese cuisine. In addition to this, it also has a small asian market connected to the restaurant (the whole business is in a former "china buffet", which had a lot of space). We brought our two small children, and it was a fantastic experience, due to food they could eat (spring & egg rolls, fried rice, etc) and authentic foods for the adults (amazing (and giant) pho and coconut curry soup).. The prices were unbelievabley affordable for the ridiculous amount of food you received. This is going to be a go-to restaurant for our family! read more

This was a great fond for Asian cuisine. My favorite dish is the friend noodles they have generous portions sizes and good flavor overall. I'm giving Chia's a 4 because I think the food is a 5, but the atmosphere is only a 2 or 3. It's really divey. The location used to be a Chinese buffet that I only ate at once before I swore it off completely, just before they went out of business. However, local Asian food store Chia's Market purchased the place and set up shop, and it has become my favorite new addition to the Menomonie dining scene. This is a Hmong restaurant, so to an American, the food is sort of a blend of Chinese, Vietnamese, and Thai. The egg rolls and spring rolls are outstanding. I've had one or two things from the menu that I wasn't into, but outweighing that are several food items that I love and keep me coming back on a regular basis. The Pho is delicious and plentiful (a small is more than enough). Their version of Pad Thai ("fried noodles") is outstanding, and the basil chicken is fragrant and flavorful. There are several seafood options on the menu, but I don't eat seafood so I can't speak to their quality. Again, the atmosphere is kind of bad, but don't let that put you off. This is mostly because of the restaurant that used to be in this space. As of this writing, Chia's has done no renovation at all, but I wish they would. The space doesn't accurately reflect the food served. read more

Home style cooking, server is quick and prompt. Prefer to carry out, but still nice to dine in with another person.

We stopped in at 3 pm. The place was empty. We had our choice of tables. We ordered pork fried rice and a stir fry. The food was the best in town and the best for 80 miles! We look forward to trying more dishes soon. By the time we finished many of the tables were full. The food was very flavorful. Each table had several sauces and condiments. You will not be disappointed if you want good flavorful food. We have made this our weekly dine out experience. The egg rolls are the best around! This place is family owned. This place rules! I always order the pork fried rice with extra onions and bean sprouts and it's the best I have had anywhere including PF Chang's! I tried Chicken Curry Soup on my second visit and what the heck! It was literally curry paste water with weird flavor. There was only four of finger nail sized chicken in the soup, and nothing. As the only pho location in the city, you really have no other choice. It's light on that expected umami flavoring. At least there condiments. The egg rolls came out glistering golden brown teasing of a flavor explosion expected of other similar establishments. Upon the first bite...blah, slightly better than the local China Buffet.
