Been ordering from here for at least 15 years. Decent food but they screw up your orders all the time. We always get takeout. last order they forgot part of our food again and they said next order they would credit us. We ordered two weeks later and I asked for the credit but they didn't want to give the full credit and said I was just trying to get free food and her tone was very rude. First and last time I order from here. Beef was mushy and not edible. I can only assume the meat was the consistency of soft cat food. Brown sauce not good. On a positive note, the spring rolls were decent. I love Asian food and this was bad! read more

We ordered takeout very easily and for an affordable price through their website. The food was ready in 15 minutes and the checkout process went very smoothly. I would highly recommend the Honey Chicken as well as the Pork Wontons. Both were delicious. Will be returning! read more

I started ordering from China Wok after they opened. They used to Work at a different restaurant called Asia Palace.I started supporting China Wok and no longer went to Asia Palace . I told others about the good food and nice people. In 2021 the food starting tasting saltier. Tonight they didn't even try. The Mai Fun was salty and the Shrimp Fried rice was just dry brown rice not fried crappy looking shrimp and no flavor. I believe the young lady just added the shrimp, peas and carrots to the old rice in the rice cooker. This is the last time I will ever order there again. The current appearance of the restaurant should have been an indicator. I would not recommend China Wok to anyone. read more

Been going here a lot lately as we grew tired in Jade Garden. Best things yet....they have excellent beef on a stick appetizer...tender and full of flavor. They have good soups...specifically the hot and sour and egg drop/won ton mix...which is rare around here. We get the lo mein and Singapore Mi Fun...both are good. Egg Foo Young is good too. Did not like the King Pau Chicken, they use the same chicken as they do in The General Tso and this is the only place I've ever experienced that..not a fan...it makes it heavy . Not sure what the complaints are about. I don't eat chicken beef or pork, so maybe my opinion would be different if I did. This is a small take out spot with just a few tables. They get busy, so check your order and get utensils as needed. That said, the food is the freshest, least oily, most flavorful Chinese in Eau Claire. The smiling and really friendly staff always greets me and helps me get the food to my car. They throw in doughnuts when my order is large. I won't eat egg foo young usually as it is too greasy, but not here. You can let it sit overnight and there still is no sign of grease. Best gravy to top it as well. They substitute tofu for my husband in Kung Pao and he says it is the best he has had. Granddaughter loves Sesame Shrimp. Grandson loves their fried rice. Crab rangoon is the BEST. We order extra as it is great cold for breakfast. Now I made myself hungry, I will call and order some now! Too good to miss out on in the good food desert of Eau Claire. read more

Best Take Out Chinese Place in Eau Claire....which is a pretty low bar This is a small Midwest town, so most options for "Chinese" food is a pretty limited. Places that are pretty much strictly take out are even more limited. They do have four tables and a very tiny tv, but this is pretty much strictly take out. Your typical huge menu. Standard sauces. Spicy dishes are pretty mild. Nothing hugely exciting. However... What they make, they make well. Low Mein noodles are cooked right. Dishes with meat (including seafood dishes) have plenty of meat. Shrimp are big enough and cooked correctly. Fried food is tasty. Go on Christmas and you will get some fried sugar puff bread as a gift. Is it great food? No. Is it good, well made, high value? Yes. Just okay eating inside you have your choice of two tables close enough to the door to catch a cold. The place is pretty dirty but at least you can see what's going on in the kitchen. Generous portions of chicken just not enough rice to go with the meal, brought home leftover chicken but no rice. There were no utensils. The gentlemen noticed that the chow mein was not served in a cone, nor "on-a-stick" so he further investigated this oversight. Asking for chopsticks, the Asian chap stared back in disbelief - almost to suggest that a pasty lad from the suburbs of Wisconsin may have not had any exposure to the complexity of two sticks that were made of wood and not jerked beef. A company man, our protagonist thanked the proprietor and rushed back to his office. He peered excitedly in the bag, barely able to contain himself. As he lifted the probably-not-recyclable lid from the container - there he saw it. Or perhaps it was what he didn't see that startled him so violently that no amount of Xanax would be able to offer solace to our young and attractive hero. THE CHOW MEIN HAD NO NOODLES. This is probably the best Chinese food I've had in Eau Claire! A friend and I went here on a spur-of-the-moment food adventure, and were both very satisfied with the service AND the food. The dishes are huge and you get a lot of food for the price, and the price is very reasonable (around $10 for the dinner special). The food is hot and fresh, and made to order! A solid 4. My husband orders the spicy dishes but he says they aren't spicy enough. But the food is good. The portions are quite large (the lunch specials are big enough to make 2 lunches). The food is always hot; we live on the North side of town, so picking up on the south side and then driving back, the is still hot and yummy when it gets home. Love the crab rangoons. China Wok has big portions and good flavors. The Crag Rangoon are delicious - recommended. The General Tso's Chicken is good, and the pieces are bite size which I like much better than huge pieces (like some places have). I do wish they would include onions with it, though. The Chicken Lo Mein is flavorful and good, as is the Mongolian Beef. I just wish they had a bigger delivery radius. read more

Outstanding! I got the Happy Family on a busy friday evening and I only waited 10 minutes but the best part is how much food they gave me it was heavy and packed full of high quality meat and veggies it was well worth the 13.95 for I was able to make that into almost 3 meals! Best in town. You may wait a while during busiest rushes. Never been disappointed with quality of food (except one time when they put the sweet and sour chicken in the styrofoam container too quickly and it melted through - they replaced my order with apologies). Last time I went (I always go with take-out), the gentleman told someone over the phone that they didn't deliver (or maybe they don't have a driver some nights). Not the least or most expensive option in town but it is the BEST in my opinion - worth the price. WORST Chinese I have ever had. They delivered to my hotel room last night...food was cold...they didnt include plastic ware. ..no napkins. Food was very greasy and didnt make any difference that I ordered spicy. ..it wasn.t. Egg drop soup was tasteless. I am from out of state maybe my expectations were high. This is a very good place for New York style Chinese food. In other words it is based for Americans and very good at what they do. I have had Chinese take out all over the country and this is a solid place. Is it the best I have ever had no. But it's the best of this style in Eau Claire. This is my go to place for take out. If I want Hmong or Thai food I go to Egg Rolls Plus. China Wok is the place for delivery or take-out when I want American style Chinese. Happy that they opened! read more

Ordered from this place when stopped at a friends apartment in Chippewa Falls, WI. Had a private delivery service which charged me 12.50 to bring it from Eau Claire, to Chip. Falls. Arrived hot and good. Ate most of the Singapore Mei Fun and had the fried Wontons which were delicious. I would say it is a good place to eat. not fabulous but good. read more

Has become one of our favorites in EC. Reasonable prices with a large variety of food with combos so you can try new dishes. Not a place to dine in but a great pick up on the way home. Even if busy the longest I waited without calling ahead was 20 minutes. A lot of food for the price. One combo was split between two adults plus we had some left over. read more

The food was HOT when it came - which is a good thing. I ordered szechwan chicken, beef with broccoli and - crab Rangoon. the crab rangoon was more wanton wrapper then i perfer and less crab and cream cheese. The presentation of the entrees looked really nice and fresh. Beef and broccoli was going ON! - and the szeshwan chicken was really good - a little sweet for my preference, so next time I order I will ask for extra spicy. Im gonna be real here - this place is not gonna blow your mind - however, it is MUCH better than and china buffet crap and as good as any asian food I have had in eau claire, with the exception of the Hmong noodle wrap, which i love, but they have such a small menu and no Chinese food. So I know Ill be back, its right by my house and it was a fast delivery and some of the best i have had in town. read more

On the plus side, they're open later than other Chinese joints in town, the food was hot, and the portion size for the sweet-and-sour pork was generous. On the negative side, the chicken wings were overcooked (close to burnt), the portion size for the sweet-and-sour sauce was on the small side, and the deal-breaker for me was that the sweet-and-sour sauce was ONLY sauce, did not include traditional vegetables such as peppers, onions, pineapple, etc., that other restaurants include. read more

I would give it a 0 if I could the food was the worst thing I have ever tasted like how can you mess up chicken it was rubbery and slimy I think it was raw. The veggies were hard and not cooked and were slimy. I then order egg drop soup and it was bright yellow with white slimy chucks why was it like that egg drop soup is so-post to be clear. We were then served it on a old stand yellow plate that was cracking and then the soup was served in a Tupperware ware container. Besides to food the Service was okay but the inside was nasty there were bugs flying everywhere and there were big dead in the lights the floors in the kitchen was so gross and is open to every one to see the floors felt sticky and were dirty there was chunks of food on the floor then the pans I saw used were mucky and dark brown rust every where I then saw worked not wash there hands and handle food and money. One of there worst things is the poor fish it was pure animals culletey there were at least 2 dead and the water was brown no animals would be treated like this I could keep going but I think you get the point.
