Everything besides the noodles were pretty good. Similar taste to a Panda Express and similar in price, 9$ for a single entree.

We recently just had Chinese at a place that still left a bad taste in my mouth, and plus I didn't feel like Chinese that much, but there is little to choose from around there, so we decided to go there. Entering the restaurant, there was a younger guy in there who had an airpod in one ear, and was talking to us at the same time. He freaked out about every little Move we made, or if we said anything he would be like "HOLD ON, HOLD ON." He talked really fast, and his mannerisms struck me as a rude person. He wasn't that friendly and he was very rough talking to say the least. To make matters slightly worse, the inside was HOT!!! It felt as hot in that restaurant as it did outside. The ceiling fan inside literally wasn't touching how hot it was and didn't cool anything off. I was sweating so much, and it made it miserable to eat. Speaking of food, I had the General Tso's Chicken with fried rice. My husband and I both shared Crab Rangoon. All of the food was really good! What I couldn't get past was the HOT temperature inside, and of course, the attitude from the young guy was the icing on the cake. Not to mention, he was constantly on his phone, had earphones in and he was talking LOUD in Chinese to someone. It wasn't a positive experience except the food, which was really good. I give this 3 stars for the attitude, loud talking on the phone, and of course the HEAT! We might be back, but probably not during the Summer! I suppose it will be freezing in the winter. The food is really good, but make your atmosphere comfortable and your customer service a FRIENDLY one!!

This is my favorite Chinese place in town --and the best located for my usual visits to Eau Claire…read more Most of the staff is super nice, but the German (?) lady who works the lunch shift --man, if looks could kill! She does not seem to like solo diners --and I am frequently eating alone. The food is solid and I generally enjoy their version of sushi, although a true lover would probably find it lacking. The chicken sushi is a must for those hesitant to try it and I like the fries Jade Garden Roll as well. My only major complaint is that I wish they served the Mei Fun at dinner; I usually miss out on it when I am avoiding the aforementioned staff...

I never thought in a million years that I would write a negative review about Jade. It was news to…read moreme visiting from La Crosse, that Jade changed locations. Upon entering, I thought to myself, wow, this is huge! It was bright and vibrant, but also way too big for the type of restaurant it is. Reminds me of a mini Golden Corral, but there's a reason why Golden Corral was so big. Their buffet lined along the walls, and was U-shaped, and went from buffet counter to buffet counter. Jade has theirs in the middle. For the main buffet, and then the dessert bar is completely separate on the left side. We were way too far from the buffet, and it's also a lot for any older person to have to walk that far. The food was not impressive. Noodles were bright out fresh, but had 0 flavor! Even a little salt would help, but these were not the noodles I was used to. The coconut shrimp was hard and disgusting. Tasted nothing like Coconut Shrimp. The BBQ ribs were VERY tough to chew! The crab rangoon was nothing like I remember. Very bland and had a weird texture. The BEST item to me were the garlic green beans. Even what was my all-time favorite, the peanut butter chicken wasn't good at all. The buffet is wayyyyyy too expensive! Has no business being that high! If you're going to expect people to pay that price, then your quality shouldn't suffer, and should be top notch or worth the price! It's absolutely ridiculous to pay that much, when you're not offering me or any of the other consumers the same quality you had at the previous location! I can say that after this experience, and this being my go to place for yummy Asian food, has now come to a halt. We will no longer go to Jade. We will not go back until we hear things have changed. I'm clearly not the only one who feels this way. Pay attention to the other reviews. This was so upsetting to know a place that I looked forward to eating at when I get into town has suffered. I hope you guys get better, but we will not be back! SHAME!

The service was also good. I ordered crab rangoons and spring rolls for appetizers. They were okay, but I have had much better. Same goes for the general tsao's chicken and Mongolian beef. Nothing great. Overall, I would say this place is good, but I wouldn't really recommend it if you don't like Asian.

We always WANT to like this place and have given them several opportunities to prove that they're…read moreserious about running a clean restaurant, but we are invariably disappointed. We are partial to sitting at restaurant bars when we go out to eat. The Shanghai Bistro bar is always in need of a wipe-down when we sit down at an otherwise barely occupied bar. We love the food, but when we have to ask the completely uninterested bartender to clean his bar, this gets the experience off to an unpleasant beginning. We've had the same bartender each of the three times we've been there and each time it seems as if he'd rather be anywhere but there. Even after leaving a note on my credit card slip last time suggesting he take more pride in his department, the bar area is still in pretty sorry shape. Shanghai Bistro used to be PACKED on weeknights as well as weekends. Even on a Wednesday night -- which is their sushi special night -- the fact that the place had perhaps 20 diners demonstrates that something has gone wrong. We will undoubtedly return despite these last three unpleasant experiences. We simply hope that reviews such as this one will reach the eyes of those who need to read them.
