My son loves Royal Buffet. The staff is always friendly and on top of keeping the place clean. He says it's the best pizza he's ever had. He did accidentally drop a bowl of pudding and the staff was very understanding and cleaned it up right away. Of course the chocolate fountain is always a huge plus! Food: above average & large selection Service: pretty typical / fine Ambiance: as you would expect My wife's and my visit to Royal Buffet for lunch today was good, mainly owing to the large selection of different foods and the overall flavors. For the most part, the food was tasty and warm. I especially recommend the coconut shrimp and the stuffed mushrooms. Service and ambiance had no problems, and were very much what is expected at a Chinese buffet. The only thing missing, in my opinion, was a soft-serve machine for dessert...but there is a chocolate fountain, so that's something. We'll be back! read more

It's a quiet spot not many people. Food was extremely old some of it not even warm. Even the rice and green beans were crunchy. The best food I ate there was the potato wedges which were still full so I assume added recently. The staff were great at grabbing empty plates and refilling water but the food wasn't even worth $15. Reliably good and fresh. My only feedback would be that the cherry tomatoes next to the chocolate fountain seem like an odd choice. Of course, it's a great way for kids to make what appears to be chocolate covered grapes and give it to their unsuspecting parent (ask me how I know lol). read more

Ordered take out and figured they would at least put a paper plate in the bag to begin with! Then open up the chicken fried rice only to find hair in it , let alone all it is white rice with some chicken flavorless and the beef chow mein barely has any beef mainly veggies in the whole thing! Always stop here two times a year after my dentist appointments in the area. Always good food and good service. Last time I was there floor felt super slippery which is a bit of a safety concern but other than that have always been pleased with the food. Very nice inside as well I know they remodeled a few years back now but feels really nice inside. Best Chinese in the area! read more

We usually don't stop at buffets during off-peak hours but being on the road at 2:30pm on a Tuesday and craving Chinese-style food, we took a chance at Royal Buffet. It was excellent. There is just something that they do to their wings... I don't know exactly what it is, they have some sort of a yellow color in the breading and the flavor is almost curry like? Anyway, I keep going back mostly for the wings and the rest of the food is OK. read more

The food that they had on buffet was ice cold. Never brought out any food just left the empty pans on the buffet. Asked when they're going to replace the empty pans with food and they said they're not. Everyone one were yelling that they didn't bring any hot food out! FINALLY, the buffet is back! It is definitely no Asia Palace but it takes a red ribbon from me! We have been going there for asian food since Covid stopped and I absolutely love their salad bar. lol...funny story, I put ketchup on my salad because I thought it was french dressing. So that should kinda be moved away from the salad bar, I think. Otherwise, hit them up! It is great and the people are nice. It is cost efficient too. read more

First time going here yesterday. Food was BANGING. 10/10. Staff was friendly. Food was fresh.

Food was kind of cold. Then there was the coupon issue. We received a flyer with coupons. The one I chose to use said $2.00 off lunch or dinner buffet. Cannot be combined with any other offer. My cousin and I went together and paid separately. We both had this coupon. They would only take one coupon. They took $1.38 off my ticket and 62 cents off hers??? They kept saying $2.00 off per table. We were two separate customers wanting to use a coupon mailed to us and they wouldn't take one of ours and even though we each paid for our own meal they split one coupon between us. Hope $2.00 was worth losing customers over. After sharing this story with others, many threw their flyers out and won't eat there now. Know we won't! read more

We went on a Sat evening so of course it was busy. However they should have done a much better job with keeping up. A lot of stuff was gone by 6:15 & it didn't seem like they were bringing more out. The food was passable though a bit high in price. My wife was less than impressed with the food. Seems like it's identical to the China Buffett that used to be here. They could do better. read more

The decor, going in, seemed much updated but with very odd additions. Large screen tv's on the wall?? So NOT a sports bar, and ruins the atmosphere. And what is with the stuffed or not, large fishes on the wall. It is not a sushi bar??? I love the decor at Sakura and had high hopes for something with taste. The food is about the same but not as good quality. Very little in the way of sauces with the dishes so they were dry and many meats very stringy like you needed a knife that they don't provide at the table. The pudding tastes tinny and could taste several chemical compounds. They took out several of my favorite things, like the fried dumplings, crab legs, apple pie pastry, almond cookies and the ice cream. Well they have Deans (of all the ice creams in WI this is the one they picked, its horrible ) in individual Styrofoam containers. Seems like some folks don't understand that it is full of bad things * Dioxins cause immune and hormonal problems and affect fetal development as an occupational hazard to workers exposed to it. When Styrofoam is burnt for energy or for disposal, it is released into the environment leading to air pollution and health problems when inhaled by people and animals. Wish they would just do soft serve that is way better. So would I go back, no I don't believe I will. And it is sad as I use to enjoy it's predecessor and might go several times a week. read more

I was at the Royal buffet yesterday for the first time with a party of 12 and will never eat there again. All the waitress did was serve drinks because we all had the buffet. And a gratuity of 15% was added to the bill. I grew up in the 50's and a tip was added for good service. Just serving drinks does constitute good service. read more

I ate here 10-10-2019. The seafood was mushy and NO flavor. I ate a 1400. No one was there. The rest of hit and miss. Mostly miss.

If I could leave no stars, I would. The new owners polished a turd. The food is gross, cold and flavorless. The serves is almost nonexistent and the booths are so small you feel like a giant. The floor is sticky and the music has profanity. NEVER AGAIN! read more
