The eating area was nice and clean. We had a big party so we were unsure if we were going to have room but fortunately it was a week night and there weren't many people there yet. It was around 5pm. We ordered the special platter of pad krapao, crab rangoons, combo platter, pho, curry pad Thai, and white/sticky rice. Overall, the service was decent but the food was not great. The pad krapao and curry pad Thai definitely was on the salty side. The pho was nothing special. Crab rangoons were some of the worse I've eaten. Very thin wrapper and lacked filling. My son said he enjoyed the egg roll that came with the combo platter but I didn't try it to comment on it. Sticky rice came in a cute little rice warmer but was so small I couldn't believe it. lol I'm happy we were able to be seated right away and the food didn't take too long to get ready but would not recommend this place because the food was not that great. The food was great , ordered the green curry. The meats are cooked with more of a Korean bbq style prep rather than Thai or maybe I'm wrong, but was good . Had the crab Rangoon which was a pretty big serving. Service was quick and servers were helpful with the dish discussion . Ambiance like any quick eat diner practical with the place being neat and tidy , adequate seating for a family with 4 kids and some seating at the sushi grill. I will never bring my family back here. We love to try new places and enjoy variety but this was a complete disaster. They were out of so many things in the menu, we had to order other things. Wait time was close to an hour for fried rice (which had bacon in it and was overly salty) and dumplings (which I could have cooked at home. They were even out of egg rolls. For two people, it was 100.00. All 5 of us got sick that day. The only one that didn't get sick was my son that fell asleep in his chair and didn't eat. Absolutely terrible experience. read more

This was my second time but only cuz I'm not feeling good and I knew they have pho. And it's close to me. I ordered the combo pho but said no tripe, no shrimp. There was tripe in it. Not happy about that. Young girl that helped me was the star. She was so helpful and super sweet. The pho was decent. Not much for stir fries or no noodle dishes that weren't rice noodles. My hubby like the lo mein noodles. Do not have..if you like rice you'll like this place. His teriyaki chicken didn't look like any glaze on it so I had to add a bunch of hoisin. Food was great and had a little heat to it too. They also have a sushi bar, but we did not partake as I am not a fan of sushi. However, if you are, it may be worth a try! If it weren't for Yelp, our time spent in Eau Claire would have consisted of fast food and likely burgers, which we were sure to eat many of in the week ahead. But instead, we dined on pad thai and sushi, on a picnic table outside the Chippewa Valley Airport Service. And it was pretty great. So a little background: My boyfriend, his sister and I stopped in Eau Claire on our annual trip up to the Wisconsin Northwoods for the Fourth of July holiday. My boyfriend's brother had flown into Minneapolis from the East Coast, and he took a bus service to get from the airport to Eau Claire, so that we could pick him up on our way. But we were about an hour early to pick him up. And we were hungry. So the Yelp sleuthing began. We had already eaten fast food twice that day on our trip, so we were definitely not in the mood for that. Some hunting led us to Muang Thai, one of the best reviewed restaurants in the area. And noodles and sushi promised to be a dish we would likely not eat again that week. So we found our way to the restaurant, a small, causal eatery in the same strip mall as a grocery store. The employees were patient and understanding as we perused the menu in search of some take-out options. I ended up getting pad thai, with shrimp and chicken and in various levels of spiciness, for the group and a "House" sushi roll. It took about 10 minutes for the food to come out, and the restaurant was also great about giving us some cups of water to go. They were accommodating and pleasant all the way around. We made our way with our take-out to the tiny Chippewa Valley Airport Service, which is where we were to pick up the bf's brother. He got there about the same time we did, so we all sat at the airport's picnic table to take a break from traveling and enjoy the dinner. The pad thai -- while each restaurant has their own take on this -- was very satisfying. The noodles had enough flavor and the shrimp was large. I will say though that a little bit of the spice goes a long way. Unless the order got messed up, the difference between "mild" and "no spice" is vast. The mild made me sweat more than the hot weather. I loved the House roll. It was large and fried, with I believe crab and cream cheese in it. (Didn't take a pic of the menu, so I'm going off of memory here.) I think I might opt for sushi instead of noodles if we ever make a return trip. Which -- considering the recent July 4 trip was my seventh -- we probably will do again. I'll be looking forward to some Muang Thai food at the end of a long travel day. read more

Alright so if you're in Eau Claire, coming from Mpls where there are 100k+ Asians you'd naturally have perhaps lower expectations of what you can get for authentic Asian food. Well we walked in, and it looked like the entire Asian population of Eau Claire was in this one room. I was ecstatic!! Our party ordered pho and Pad Pri King. The Pad Pri King (stir fried green beans and beef) was fantastic. Very tasty and authentic. It was served with adequate amounts of white rice. The pho broth was wonderful. It would be middle of the pack when compared to suburban pho in Minneapolis. The protein portions were a bit skimpy though. And they did not serve basil with their veggie plate, and really only gave us one portion of veggies for two bowls of pho. The silver lining was the free order of egg rolls for my Yelp check-in! Score! They were tasty, not too much dough, and very satisfying. It came with sweet and sour sauce and peanut sauce for dipping. Since moving to the Midwest, I haven't had any good Satisfying food! Here I can get bomb sushi, great pho, and awesome authentic thai food! Every was so good, never disappointed. We live in Minnesota but would definitely drive out for food because its that good! We started off with the Muang Thai Spicy wings, its so savory and its the perfect spice and crisp at the same time! Tum Pho, never had a good tum pho since ive moved to the midwest, but this tum pho is so perfect! Everything is just so on point, eat it fast before it soaked up the juice though. My husband had the boat noodle and my girls shared the pho. I had the fish laab spicy, its was good! The flavor is there! The sticky rice was cooked to perfection. We ordered eggrolls (excellent) and spring rolls (bland), which arrived in attractive dishes. Took my friend here since she's never had authentic Asian food. Was surprised to see on the menu they had things like Laap, Khao Poon, Jerky, Phò, Sticky rice, and etc. There aren't many restaurants that serve food like that. I ended up getting the Khao Poon and my friend got the Chicken Pad Thai. We then ordered Beef and Meatball Phò to split. Overall the food was good! The Pad Thai and Khao Poon came in pretty big portions for the price which was nice. Phò was pretty good as well. It's definitely something that's better made homemade but I really wanted my friend to try it. The service was a bit slow but I understood due to the fact that it got really busy around lunch time. We sat ourselves down (anywhere) and were given a menu right away but with only a few tables in the restaurant it took a while to get our initial order. It then took nearly 35 minutes to get our order to table. They were short staffed in the kitchen, but the wait staff was very kind and attentive. We have been here twice, and both times the service has been wonderful. The servers we've had are very warm and bubbly and eager to help. I wish I could have given it a better rating, but I am basing my rating on the food and not the service. The egg rolls are very small and thin. The first time we came, they were served with a sweet and sour sauce, but it tasted extremely similar to the strawberry jam my mother used to make. The second time we dined here, they were served with some sort of peanut sauce which was okay. The Pho is good, but not the best in town. The sushi here is pretty tasty, but didn't seem to appear to have been made with sushi rice, but rather with regular Jasmine rice. We recommend the Muang Thai roll; it has all of my husband's favorite things in sushi: crunch, cream cheese, and little orange caviar. The atmosphere is really nice, though I do wish they had some booths to offer a little more privacy. We will eat here again, eventually. read more
