I love the ceiling decoration. It's bright colorful snd pretty. I have been here twice and tried shrimp fried rice the first time and the second time I got the pad cashew nut. Omgoodness. The service was great. I ordered the medium heat Panang Curry with tofu. It was great but I wish there was more liquid vs all the wonderful accoutrements in the soup. It comes with a side of rice. I've visited Miko Thai Kitchen a few different times and overall, I've had a good experience every time. The good: The Pad Thai is nice and saucy with good flavor! The chicken is better than their beef. The parking lot is large so there's always a place to park. The fresh spring rolls are so fresh tasting. The not so good: They only have 1 restroom so during busy times, there can be a line. The Pad See Ew had a funky flavor -- I won't be ordering it again. They don't have any beer, wine, or liquor on their menu. Overall, Miko is a good spot if you're craving Thai and don't want to make the drive to St. Paul or Minneapolis. read more

Stopped at Miko Thai instead of a chain while on the road. Very friendly and welcoming. Service on point the whole visit. Ordered red curry with beef, spice level 2 / 5. Flavors were good. Glad I didn't get spice level 3 / 5 as 2 had just the right burn. The only negative was the beef. There was not much of it to begin with, and what there was had little flavor, as though it had been boiled separately and added at the end. Should I happen to return (I'm in Hudson once a year more or less) i will opt for chicken or shrimp. read more

This place keeps getting better every year! I most recently ordered the veggie egg rolls and spicy chicken wings as appetizers and red curry with chicken for the main meal. Everything was delicious! I was pleasantly surprised that the veggie egg rolls tasted fresher and more homemade than I last remember. I also enjoyed the improved drinking water, which tastes more filtered than it did before. This place seems to be thriving and on the up and up. The soft piano music and colorful umbrellas hung from the ceiling add a nice ambience. This could be a cute place for a date in the evening, as well as an ideal quick stop for a bite of food during a road trip. The food is a little spicy here, but I love it! What a spot. Being so close to the twin cities, you wouldn't expect Hudson to have the best Thai around, but I honestly prefer this spot over any others I've tried in the cities. Their curry fried rice is to die for and the pad thai is super saucy and flavorful which is just the way I like it. The cream cheese wontons are mediocre, but the spring rolls are top notch. The tom kha soup is also mediocre compared to others I've tried, but overall, this is my favorite Thai spot that I've tried in quite a while. The prices are also extremely reasonable. Visiting St. Paul for work this week. Stopped by this place for Dinner after a long drive from Chicago. Was super tired and all I wanted was some decent food to fill myself so I can sleep peacefully. Didn't order much food. Just tried the Massasum Curry which was served with Rice. Amazing taste, large portion - good enough for one person. I requested for WiFi password since I had to work on few emails but the staff declined politely. The staff was friendly and the service was very fast. Good ambience. Beautiful decor inside. I miss the Smashburger that was previously located where Miko Thai is now. But I won't hold that against them. Smashburger had their chance, and couldn't make it work. So up pops Miko to sate the Thai appetite, and by all signs, looks to be thriving. By Thai standards their food seems to be cutting the mustard. People like it. I liked it. But they really don't have any competition in the Thai arena, yet. For now, they can claim that they have the best tasting Thai in Hudson. Until some other enterprising Thai restaurant comes in to push the envelope, Miko can have its way with the townsfolk. Their prices are fair, to the bit elevated range. Though it didn't empty this citizens wallet, I'd have liked the proportion to match the cost. In that sense it was a bit lacking. You may want to steer clear of the dumplings. We got two orders, and both were dry. Their dipping sauce helped a little. Quick Tip: If you were a Smashburger fan, you'll have to cross the river. But you better make it soon, cause for whatever reason, they're dropping like flies. At least you can be comforted, cause Miko is using the same seating arrangement. read more

By far the best Asian restaurant in Hudson - 5 stars! Miko Thai Kitchen is the newest Asian restaurant in Hudson. It opened about a year ago. I've been to every one of them and Miko is definitely the best. (BTW, Sapporo is a close second place.) Every bite of food was wonderful. I particularly love, love, love the Tom Kha Soup with coconut milk, lemongrass, tomato, and fresh lime juice. And I really enjoyed the Peanut Curry with peanut curry sauce and a moderate amount of spicy peppers. It struck the perfect balance of sweet, savory, and spicy. Wow - what a treat! Even the tea was great. It's a premium tea, dark orange and slightly sweet. You can tell the difference when you look at it, before you even take your first sip. This is definitely NOT the usual cheap "tea" out of a little paper bag. The service was excellent. The people were friendly. The restaurant is beautiful and clean. The prices are reasonable. I was thrilled to discover that the restaurant is family owned & operated. And they're all actual genuine wonderful Thai people (and one from Burma). I've discovered it's common to go to a Japanese restaurant with no Japanese people or a Thai place with no Thai people. Not at Miko. Don't you think that people from the country of origin are the best and making food from their own culture? I think so. This team definitely knows what they're doing. I have tried the fresh spring rolls, the eggrolls, red curry and rice, and the mango sticky rice. ALL has been fantastic! I'm so excited to have a local authentic Thai place nearby! The wait times for take out in the beginning we're very long, but two weeks later they seem to have worked those kinks out. We went hot on everything and I think it hit the mark, burn was almost a little too much for my wife but just right that it didn't overpower the dish. Tom Yum soap was excellent, green curry, seafood salad, Thai fried rice, and pad thai very good. We also ordered the the papaya salad and was the last dish to arrive. I think it was missing something, maybe a little more fish sauce I'm not sure. We brought it home so we'll see how it taste the next day and I'll get back to you. Late lunch for us, 2:30 but we were hungry so I ordered Pad Cashew and hub ordered chicken satay with peanut sauce. To top it off, we got pork egg rolls (3) with their own sauce. Everything was outstanding! I almost burned the top of my roof off biting into the egg roll after what I thought was enough time to cool it off so beware. Even the 2nd, 3rd and 4th bite was hot (temperature) but so darn good. I meant to ask about the rice because it was beyond normal great and I try to stay away from rice. I was SO thrilled to find a Thai place open up in Hudson, and Miko's did not disappoint! We ordered for takeout and got chicken dumplings, panang curry with chicken, and massaman curry with shrimp. The dumplings were nothing special and a little overcooked, the curry was phenomenal. The massaman had large chunks of potato that were delicious, but I wish they were cut into slightly smaller pieces so as to make them easier to eat. The panang curry was perfection, and the crowd favorite! The portions are generous, with us being able to make two meals out of our food, neither of which lasted long.
