Food: we had the lunch special with the eggroll, fried rice, and general tso's chicken along with springrolls and strawberry bubble tea The eggroll was decent and the fried rice was great but the chicken had an aweful texture and the sauce was overpowering. The spring rolls are meh with the bubble tea being this weird frozen smoothy thing with frozen boba that tastes like pure bubble gum. And last of all the water tastes like chlorine. My husband and I are regulars here in Stillwater. We come here weekly for dinner. The atmosphere is so quaint and the food is phenomenal.

This place was super clean and the service was friendly, so I thought there was no way the food was gonna be great. That trifecta is just too hard to find. But hells bells, here we are! Their broth was very good! It was fatty enough without being greazy. I don't go to Stillwater, like ever, but I may reconsider my frequency for this place. We came in before the dinner rush and we're seated and served right away which is always amazing when you're hungry. Our waitress was super nice. We ordered the two different egg rolls the house version and the 'regular' I prefer the regular but my kids enjoyed the house version which is fried in rice paper. We also enjoyed the dumplings - kids voted for fried after trying fried I definitely prefer steamed dumplings. My chicken pho was delicious, very good broth. Hubs ordered a curry dish and it was so bland he passed up on eating his meal and shared with me. read more

Went to Pho Mai today which I believe is changing their name to Pho MN. Had the rare steak pho and it was pretty good. Just wish there was some background music at the restaurant otherwise I'm looking forward to trying other food options. Will definitely be back. read more

Customer services is poor. I had to explain couple times what I want. Water is not good at all. Good, if they would bring bottle of 0.5l water. Prices are pretty high. Interior is nice and cozy. We just had our second experience at Pho Mai, both times our food was great! Fresh, hot and great portion sizes. My family had pho and I had the mock duck with mixed vegetables. Things didn't come out at the same time, but the server made it right, and was very friendly. My kids highly recommend the jasmine milk tea as well. We were super excited to come try out the Pho. Being that the closest 'good' pho spot for us was St. Paul, we were excited by the fact we no longer needed to drive into the cities to get a tasty bowl of Pho. The Pho was decent/good overall, my wife and I both got the special. The quantity was small for the price. There were no alternate sizes to choose from, which is a big con for me. The broth was tasty and flavorful. The meat was great and good in quality, but there wasn't much of it. We'll most likely be coming back to try the other dishes Mai's offers. The service was good, we experienced friendly staff and had a friendly waitress. As for the Pho, it isn't anything to write home about. If they modify their menu to include more sizes and more meat, we'll reconsider trying it out again in the future. read more

Service is not as friendly as it was, prices went up for same amount of food if not less food, and quality is nowhere near we're it was, and the fried rice is so much more heavy and gross. Went here before current owners but so happy with the new owners!! Was such a great addition to the Stillwater food scene. The food came out so swiftly and was so so good! Happy to have a good pho spot outside of cities and close to us. Cream cheese wontons were a little oily but still very good! Pork and shrimp spring rolls were amazing and super fresh! I was initially taken with this place when I stopped in for pho. I still recommend it...for PHO. But since my earlier visits I've tried other items and was not so impressed. Fried egg rolls and fresh spring rolls were on the good side of average. Vermicelli salad was fresh but lacked flavor. I'd recommend against ordering any of the Chinese standards unless you're looking for that retro mid-century La Choy-style celery stuff, which is what appeared when one of my dining companions ordered chow mein. read more

We got the beef pho, veggie egg rolls, and cream cheese wontons for takeout. Service was great. Everything was ready when they said it would be and packaged super well. The broth was bagged individually and then put in another bag so there was no chance of leaking. Food was really tasty! The appetizers were crispy and the pho broth was super flavorful. read more

Very good food here. Hot and spicy chicken, dumplings, szechuan chicken all really tasty. The pho is aromatic and flavorful.

I'm about to give my honest opinion and you can choose to go. We ordered the springrolls and dumplings for a starter and they were very good. So we got excited for our entree to come out. I got the chicken pad Thai and the other person I was with got chicken lo mein. It was very disappointing to bite into a piece of chicken that genuinely had the flavor of a microwaved meal. As well the noodles in both were terrible. The pad Thai I say was 75% onions and carrots. Lo mein had no flavor at all. Paid 37$ and with tip was 47$. Overall not worth it. Maybe the pho is good but I'm not gonna risk it and if you do I hope it ls good. Take this info how you want but for the price I have had better. Staff was very nice though. read more

Decided to try Pho MN tonight. I went to their website and the only way to place a take out order is by phone, so I called to place my dinner order for my family. After going through my order twice and correcting and then confirming with them my son's peanut calamari, I was told to pick up in 25 minutes. I ended up getting there about 30 minutes later and was told it wasn't ready. After being there in person another 30 minutes, I was told it was ready. As the cashier was ringing it up I noticed my son's peanut calamari wasn't in it. She proceeded to ask me if I wanted it, which I said yes it is my son's dinner. I asked how much longer this would take and was told it would be made right away. Well, it took almost another 30 minutes, having checked in a couple times, before it was ready. At this point multiple people have come in, placed a takeout order, and left with their food all while I have been here with a call ahead order. Now while I wish I could say that it was worth the wait and frustration and lack of apology or discount/refund, it was far from that. The Calamari that I waited an additional 30 minutes for were cold and rubbery and were NOT peanut. The rest of the food had cooled down after the additional wait time and none of the dishes were anything special, especially with other places within an extremely short drive that are better. read more

I had the #7 seafood combo, my wife hade a pho soup. There was NO sauce, it was DRY, the vegetables were not steamed and hard, I had two tiny scallops, 3 shrimp, and two tiny pieces of squid. Upon leaving the manager never asked how it was and nit even a thank you. AWFUL! read more

We have only been here twice and have had excellent food and customer service! Staff is friendly and patient over the phone and in person. The restaurant is clean with a relaxing environment. We have had the PHO and pork egg rolls which are the best!! The egg rolls were not greasy at all. The PHO broth flavor was amazing and flavorful! The Vietnamese coffee is excellent as well. I would like to preface this review by saying the young man at the counter was extremely nice, and pleasant. Unfortunately, the experience I had here tonight was not. I ordered a large combo Pho, regular seafood pho, and a chicken pho. with cream cheese wontons as an appetizer. Everything was ok, and the waiter was patient and nice, however, when the food came out it was wrong. the Seafood pho was large and the combo pho was regular size. once I saw the bowels I told the lady who brought it out that the sizes were incorrect, and at that point the waiter who took our order came over and let her know they were incorrect. They said they would correct the issue and took my bowl to be fixed, (after the lady mentioned something under her breath to the waiter), but when it was brought back out, it was just in a bigger bowl with more broth. No extra meat like I had ordered, and the portion size was the same. I whisked around the seafood pho to see if the portion size of the noodle was now the same but it was not, mine was still of a smaller portion. which would indicate to me that they just poured the food into a bigger bowel, and added more broth to make it seem as though they had corrected the issue. later, after no refills on water, the waiter came back to let me know he would be charging the seafood bowl as a regular size. Which was a bit irritating because my food was clearly of a smaller portion and I was also charged for extra beef that I did not receive. Upon payment, I did not tip (which I felt absolutely awful about). I felt as though the trickery they pulled with the beef bowl, and the charge for extra meat that I did not receive was tip enough. Honestly, I had come here before when it first opened, and I wasn't much a fan, but I thought I'd give it another try. The menu was ALOT bigger this time but I did not expect the bait and switch I received. I feel as though its a shame because I always want to support minority and family owned businesses expecially in Stillwater, but I was mistaken to have come here. Im happy for anyone who had a positive experience but that was not the case for me, and because of that I will not be back. I hope they don't pull this behavior on another patron, it would be a shame. read more

An out-of-the way pho place on the north side of Hwy 36 on your way to Stillwater. Very unpretentious inside, but terrific food! We had the veggie spring rolls, chicken pho, and mock duck pho. HUGE portions and delicious. A special treat -- lots of fresh basil. They have a very large menu, but since they are named "Pho" we went with that, The couple behind us ordered sesame' chicken, and raved about it. First time for us; we'll be back soon! read more

We were very disappointed with the orange chicken. In the past the orange chicken was wonderful, crispy, fresh and flavorful. When we ordered it again, the quality changed. The chicken was hard and old. The flavor use to be orange, but tasted sugary with a slight hint of orange flavoring. The cost was about $15 for this which is pretty expensive. Wow! Just had Pho MN tonight and we were beyond impressed. So freakin good!! We ordered the orange chicken, chicken lo mein and Vietnamese egg rolls. Everything was so fresh and flavorful!
