We initially had Chimcare come out to do cleaning and inspection of our two fireplaces and chimneys in our new fixer upper house. They noticed some minor cracks in the fireplaces and fixed them the same day, he also took pictures of some cracks in the crown of the chimney and showed me and my husband. We elected to get that fixed as well, it was expensive, but we've been finding that literally everything is to repair/replace at our house! Someone different came out to do that work. A few months later we had our roof replaced and that companies inspector noticed that the work done didn't seem to have cured well and had some minor cracks in it, he took pictures and showed me. I called Chimcare and they sent out one of their managers right away, he took a look at it and said, yes, there are some minor cracks. He sent one of their guys out free of charge to put a flexible overlay over the stuff that had not cured perfectly so it would fill in any cracks. They came out and did it a few days later. Bid process - showed up on time and was very through in explaining needs and cost. I believe his name was Adrian. Seemed knowledgeable and willing to explain things to me. Scheduling - was a few weeks out but totally understand given how busy this market is. Took 2 separate appointments to complete the work but seemed reasonable. Work - Really enjoyed the crew of Kyle and his brother (Ryan?). Very well mannered and like the look of the masonry. I am no expert on this type of work but aesthetically seems nice. Price/Payment: Appreciate their email and text updates on the invoices and payment process. Always tracked where I was with amounts due and remaining. Value - I have no idea. I did not receive any competing bids. I was satisfied with the reviews and the first impression the bid person made so went with Chimcare Seattle. Overall - $4,000 for 1 chimney rebuild and a 2nd chimney new crown masonry, flues, cap, and flashing. read more

After moving into my house in North Seattle, I put off getting a chimney cap and getting it cleaned/inspected for over 5 years. I was worried about the damage when I called Chimcare, but Andrew came out to inspect it, quickly figured out/patiently explained the work that needed to be done, and pointed out that it didn't even need to be cleaned (rain from lack of chimney cap had kept the inside clear). Since I'm a DIY guy, he even helped explain the things I could do myself. Kyle and Corey came out to fix the masonry on the top and install the chimney cap, and they fully deducted the inspection charge from the work that needed to be done - everything turned out great. I searched on Google to find a Chimney sweep and then contacted the Chimcare Company who responded right away. Once were were able to confirm a schdeule that worked we scheduled the Inspection and cleaning for 11/21.Andrew Wilt called me an hour before our scheduled appointment to let me know he was in the Bothell area and is close by and now could come earlier which actually worked out best for us. Andrew was very professional and explained everything he was doing during the process. I was concerned because we had just shampooed our carpets he assured me he will protect the carpets and will not make any mess and he kept to his word.Andrew did a great job and I am very pleased with the job he did. Daniel from Chimcare came to evaluate my chimney and perform a chimney sweep. I had a very good experience. Before the visit, Chimcare did a great job of communicating with me about confirming the appointment date/time, and then sending a text message one hour before Daniel was to arrive. Daniel was on time and prompt in his services: he inspected my chimney inside and out and discussed his findings with me, explaining the aspects I was unfamiliar with. He gave good advice on how to keep my chimney in optimal condition and provided me with a quote for additional work I might want to consider (but was not pushy in any sort of way). Services preformed were done with professionalism for sure! After greeting me Ryan Schwake asked if I would like him to take of his shoes which really impressed me that he was so considerate. He throughly cleaned the fireplace, piping and did a safety inspection, he also added what I thought was a very nice touch and cleaned the glass on the fireplace. This is the first time I have had the fireplace cleaned since it was installed five years ago, and now I have such a peace of mind using it. We had Chimcare come out for an estimate this morning, and the two gentleman who showed up (Andrew & Geoff) were very pragmatic and knowledgeable. Was a nice contrast from another team who provided an estimate for what seemed like unnecessary work, and at very least was an aggressive upsell. The recommendations from this team were thoughtful, and conservative. We appreciate the approach to eliminate the likely cause of the leak with the simplest solution before making more exhaustive and expensive repairs. Very happy with the service I received. My new condo is in Edmonds and I had issues with the damper on my fireplace. I was referred through Edmonds Mom's, a group on Facebook. Fortunately it was an easy fix for Michael F. He diagnosed the problem, fixed it and cleaned up afterwards - zippy zip and he was done. I was assured if there were further issues with the damper, they would come back at no charge to take care of and/or when I was ready to have a cleaning, the charge I paid today would be credited towards that service. Nate did a wonderful job on our leaking fireplace. After getting quotes from other companies, he was the only one who took photos and explained how the water was getting in, and what he was going to do to fix it. The quote came in comparable to the others, but I immediately trusted Nate with his honesty and upfront attitude. As much as I can tell, these folks charged me $500 to vacuum the ashes from the firebox. They wrote a "report" with a few photos of my house from the ground and one photo looking up the chimney, but no documentation that they actually cleaned anything. I've emailed them, but they haven't responded. I'll gladly add a better review if they can prove to me that they actually did any work.
