Tom from Rite-Way (here in Shoreline) looked and immediately found a flashing error made by the original roofers. He made the repair. I received rapid, friendly, intelligent and reasonably priced service.

Good not great. The…read moregood- they were available, arrived on time, finished quickly, roof is water tight, average price. The not so good - facia repair, new sheeting price, no drip edge, poor attention to detail. I called Rite way Roofing to do a small job I had, because I hired them about 15 years ago and had a good experience. Fortunately they had time to do the job when I needed the work done and their price was in the range of other roofers. they showed up on time and got the work done quickly, which says a lot. many contractors are horrible. The job was a tear off, so we had lots of debris. they cleaned up the job site fairly well. a few random pieces of roofing in the bushes that they missed. Poor attention to detail- I had some rotten facia boards that needed to be fixed and I had to tell him I wanted them fixed. I'm not sure what would have happened if I wasn't on the job site. they cut out the bad wood and patched in some new wood. very rough looking. no attention to detail. the patch looks very bad handyman. No drip edge- no drip edge was added on the gutter edge. I would have asked for this "If" the would have asked me if I wanted it. I didn't think about it till after the job was done. now the new sheeting edge is exposed to the weather. not good. 2nd layer of sheeting- I knew I wanted another layer of sheeting installed over the existing and I should have negotiated this up front, but I didn't. he charged me the per sheet price. adding another layer of sheeting is much easier than having to replace rotten sheeting, which is usually what the per sheet price is used for. this is partly my fault, however he wasn't flexible at all when I brought it up. He had another pricing spec for labor and material that would have saved me several hundred dollars. Manufactures Specs- he installed my arch laminate roofing in a way that it hangs off the sheeting and into the gutter by 2 inches. I've never seen this before. I've always seen 1" or so. I read the manufactures specs and it says 1 inch. I mentioned this to him and he said he doesn't read the specs. he would cut if off if I wanted, but when it starts leaking, it would be my fault. this makes cleaning the gutters more difficult. in the future I would go with one of the other roofer I talked with and wait for them to be available. I guess they were busy for a reason.

I had brain surgery 3 months ago, I really don't need this crap. Don't recommend nd, still finding roofing nails around my house. Update. They did try to make it right in a way. I have to give them credit for that. That turns this review from a 1 to a 3. The damage to the interior of my house still exists and is ultimately up to me to fix. The roofing is fixed and the flashing is done to standard after having them come back and do it right the second time. They will throw the contract at you so make sure it covers you "the customer" up front if you decide to go with this company. Original: This is an extremely unprofessional, overpriced company that does not stand by the work they do and will not remedy issues caused by their company. Like other reviewers say, there is a language barrier while work is happening. While they are at your house, WATCH THEM LIKE A HAWK and video them being unprofessional if you have to. They did the job incorrectly on my roof vents, drip edge and flashing. Customer should be able to trust a contractor.... you can't trust them. PERIOD. The "toss" heavy roof material leaving cracks in drywall and damage to your house, which they will not take responsibility for. They even damaged my kitchen cabinets due to the vibration and rough work leaving my new cabinets coming off the wall. They simply blow debris around to "clean up" your yard. it's disgusting and these people don't deserve to be in business. They are absolutely not worth the price and only care about money. Rude customer service, cross out the liability section in your contract. . I'm disgruntled.

Additionally all the staff were easy to work with, from the estimator to the scheduler, to the foreman, and the crew. The job was started and completed within the timeframe we were quoted. The job site was cleaned at the end of every day, and care was taken with landscaping. Any questions or concerns we had along the way were addressed quickly and completely. Cliff & his company were the subcontractors who installed roofing and the associated venting on a brand new home. My husband & I haven't lived here for more than two years, and mind you it was a new build, and we started experiencing leaks and had damaged dry wall at our top story. The general contractor suspected it was the work of Sharp Roofing so put us in contact with Cliff to complete the work since the roof is under warranty. Cliff and his company did an on site assessment which required a $300 deposit (one we were told would be refunded if Sharp was to not complete the work to fix the issue). Following the initial assessment, It took several phone calls and text messages (and nearly 3 weeks of waiting) to receive any updates from Cliff. When he did finally respond it was to share that the repairs needed had nothing to do with the work his company had completed in the initial build. We requested a refund of our deposit at this time, but heard crickets. The general contractor finally sent another roofing company out to look at the damage and within a day were able to perform the repairs. At this time it was confirmed that the repair was in fact due to work Cliffs company had performed. Not only are we out $300 for the deposit, but also are out several hundred dollars more because of the damage his poor job caused to our house (and not to mention the waiting and stress it has caused). All in all from start to finish, we will have been dealing with this issue for 3 months. I'd really think twice about hiring Sharp Roofing for even the smallest of jobs, or agreeing to partner with him on new builds. He is dishonest, a very poor communicator, and his company does poor quality work.

Owner-Bob, gave me a competitive bid, and scheduled it for 10 days days out. He accepted a relatively small deposit and a week or so later, his crew stripped the old roof, replacing only a few sheets of plywood, added additional vents AND did a great cleanup at the end. All was well done, and amazingly, they didn't "discover additional work and charges" at the end. It's refreshing to see an honest, family owned company still thriving in this competitive environment. This is a tuff one to review. First off giving a review on a roof when its only been a handful of…read moremonths seems too early but ill try. Working with the office manager was a pleasure. Working with the owner was OK. I got 3 bids and Stewart roofing was the lowest but there is a catch that you'll need to consider. Stewart's bid doesn't include Ice and Water shield. It wasnt on the bid as an option either. The others did include it. When i inquired about this i was informed it wasn't necessary. I did some research and 99% of other companies i checked with said its important. Im scratching my head at this point. I had somewhat of a working relationship with Stewart (they did a previous repair which went great) so i took Richard's word cause of his longevity in the career. I asked a lot of questions and they finally gave a cost to do it which i should of accepted but thought it was too high so i didn't. Im a bit concerned about that but only time will tell. The roof seems fine for the most part. Im not an expert. The job went fine with a couple hiccups. I struggled with leaving a review considering my concerns but here i am.
