My boyfriend got me a watch and a pair of sunglasses for my birthday. The watch was too small and i wanted to see if i could exchange the sunglasses for a different pair. Some employees would have been annoyed that i wouldn't be purchasing anything and just asking for help, but Liham and Amanda were so great!! Amanda fixed my watch with no problem and with a wonderful attitude :) both Amanda and Liham went through the process of gaining a relationship with me, asking for my name and helping me find the perfect sunglasses for my face shape. First time in this store. Love, love all the different styles. Bought two pairs and the prices are not high considering the wide selection. They also carry clear frames, a nice variety of colors and shapes that can be used to put prescription lenses, which they do offer to fill. Did not know that! I am extremely upset at they way their stores operate. They hide pricing and dont tell you about their policies. I recently went to the new location in the Irvine mall. Immediately upon entering there were several associates assisting me. At first I thought it was nice, until I realized everyone is trying to push me into buying things. One of the agents was helpful and told me if the fit isn't right to come back and they can fix it. So I am thinking they are easy going here and felt a little more comfortable buying at a place I don't know. I decided to purchase 2 pairs of sunglasses. Pricing is done by colored stickers, which I thought would be easy until when I went to make my purchase I realized some of the colors are very similar. I went to check out and was price shocked. I changed a pair of the glasses and ended up spending $155 dollars, which was fine. A few days later, I decided that I did not want one of the pairs, it was too big, and I went to return it. It was in perfect condition and I never wore it. I thought it was a little big for me before I purchased it, but everyone there told me it looked good. When I went back to the store they told me they do not do returns. I responded by saying that is a little stiff of a policy especially because everywhere has some sort of return, and they said to look at my receipt. The receipt said exchanges or credit only. I told the reps that I didn't even see the receipt until I paid. I was told to look at a small sign that was posted below hip level on the side of the counter. It was completely out of the line of sight. May an 8 year old would have noticed it. What is this a car dealership? You hide everything and once you take the item off the lot it's all yours? I am pissed off because this is extremely shady. I spent a good deal of my hard earned money giving a new company a shot and I got screwed. I realize that they pressure you into buying, which they know is impulse, make pricing difficult to realize, and then after they take your money they give you the cold shoulder. Honestly, I would have bought one of the watches when I had more time, but I really dislike your company now. For the price you end up paying, go to Sunglass Hut or Nordstrom. After posting on their facebook, they responded to me and told me to pick a day to go to their store to get my money. Never heard back. Have been trying to get a hold of them many times since. read more

Dude, I truly don't know how anyone could be upset with this place! I have 7 different shades, and 2 watches all from chilli beans. They are great quality! I have gotten more out of these chilli sunglasses than any other brand. The staff is great and the prices are so fair. Love Chilli Beans!! read more

I'm voting 1 star because there is a no cash/credit return policy, & only 15 days to exchange!! Almost all retail stores; especially for moderately expensive items have some sort of cash/credit return policy & are at the very least 30 days to exchange. So I purchased my first pair of sunglasses for $55 dollars and one of the hinges on the frames were defective and not properly screwed or glued on. This was also the pair of shades on display! Do they not have extras in stock that haven't been handled hundreds of times by customers they have try on..? So disappointing. Anyways i tried returning them & realized that day i could only exchange the pair, they have a sign but they should at least inform us about their policy. As upset as i was i ended up trading them in for a little pricier pair which i felt stuck into buying, & later realized they also were defective in the hinges because it was directly off the shelves again!! For an $85 pair of sunglasses i would expect more effort. I'm positive these glasses are worth much less than the retail prices which they do not even put on display. Very sneaky sneaky business, i love the employers working there but their overall company can kiss my buttocks.. So upset :| read more

Crooks. Store refused to refund defective glasses. They claim their glasses are from Brazil, but they are cheap made in china quality.

The glasses here are absolutely amazing and the staff are always super nice and friendly. You can get anything from edgy to 70's and everything in between. read more

The ladies that worked there were awesome! The were so helpful and not pushy at all. I went in to buy one pair and all 4 of use walked out with a pair. One of the ladies took a break later and she stopped to say hi and small talk. Best customer service our whole trip. read more

They have a large selection and I would say more styles to choose from than other sunglass stores. The sales people are nice but relentless. If you are easily pressured into things you would probably be better off staying away or just prepare yourself ahead of time. Got 2 pairs, one for me and my wife. I like them more than what I was finding at sunglass hut. Can't speak on quality yet though. Oh, they play their music way too loud. Not sure if it's always like that or just bc it's back to school. read more

WARNNING!!!! You might want to reconsider doing business with these people. I purchased a pair of sunglasses a few days ago with the understanding that they could be returned. After deciding that their product was not going to work, along with the poor workmanship, I tried to return them, What a disaster. Their customer service, if you could even call it that was the worst I have seen. The so-called inexperienced manager took such Joy in relishing the fact that she was going to do nothing to help me just added to the frustration. I would never purchased anything from this company again, and I will continue to warn other people about them as well. read more

I was doing some last minute holiday shopping and I had asked one of the mall vendors where I could buy a nice men's watch...no one had an answer, but a few minutes later, I walked by Chili Beans and what caught my attention was the fluorescent stands with tons of watches and sunglasses, but a name that obviously sounded like a restaurant. I was reluctant to walk in but Jorge greeted me at the door and asked me what I was looking for...I was also hesitant about prices, but he showed me some great watches at a decent price and completely understood and respected y concerns! He even joked a little and had a great personality, was professional and was very patient!!! Amanda then helped check me out at the end and she was really great too!!! She's super adorable!
