I came to this Lens Crafter store yesterday to have my glasses adjusted and I met the nicest girl that work there. I have been a loyal customer for over 10 years at the Lens Crafter store on Goldenwest in Westminster. Since I have moved to Irvine 4 years ago, I still go there for eye check up and buy glasses. I was unhappy with the customer service in that store so I want to try out the irvine store. I told the clerk that my glasses were loose and kept sliding down my nose. She knew right away how to fix it. She took her time adjusting the nose pads so they won't press hard and leave marks on my ridge. I'm Asian so there aren't any ridge that would support the glasses but now they sat on just fine! I have already scheduled an appointment in January for my eye check. See you soon! read more

This is by far the worst eye clinic/optical store I have ever been to. My entire experience was incredibly disappointing. I found the doctors to be unprofessional, lacking integrity, and showing little respect for their patients. They wasted my time with what seemed like unnecessary tests instead of addressing my actual concerns. I also questioned the accuracy of my eye exam because the prescription they gave me did not match my vision needs. What was even more frustrating was that my prescription listed a contact lens brand they don't even sell. When I asked if they could order it, they told me they couldn't. Then they said that if I wanted to purchase a different brand that they do sell, I would have to undergo another eye exam and get a new prescription. The entire process felt unreasonable and like a waste of both my time and money. I have completely lost confidence in their professionalism and would not recommend this place to anyone. The current state of customer service here is appalling, and I will be taking my business elsewhere. The front desk staff are not only incompetent but utterly rude. Dealing with them feels more like haggling with a predatory used car salesperson than visiting a healthcare provider. Here's why you should save yourself the trouble: * Insane Price Gouging: I went in for a simple quote to replace my lenses. They quoted me $300 for standard lenses. Great selection of eyewear. I went into buy one to replace my broken glasses and came out with two because there were such nice glasses. They had a good offer too for a second pair. I had my vision checked with the doctor (Iris optometry) which was a breeze. The persons who helped us with the vision checked and the eyewear were all really nice. I do recommend getting an appointment if you are going to check your vision though. Overall, the whole experience was very easy and seamless. read more

We were ready to purchase two pairs of prescription glasses today. We were in tbe store for 25 minutes and dispite two employees being the store and we were the only customer in the store, nobody greeted us nor offered any assistance. On our way out of the store we passed two more employees coming back into the store after what appeared to be their lunch break and we told them what happened. We thought that they would offer assistance, however, the only reply that we received was "oh". I recently went and the service was terrible, it took them more than 2 hours to approve my purchase. They said the problem was mine, and when I called my card it turns out that they had problems in their system. The card was supposed to offer me 12 months without interest that they did not want to respect and when they called me supposedly to help me they spoke to me rudely and did not help me at all and the only option they gave me was to cancel the 2 pairs of glasses and I only paid for the consultation with the doctor and who knows if the prescription they gave me will work for me. read more

I had a slight emergency today with my contact lenses and was unable to find a store that sold contact lens solutions (the Rite Aid that was next-door closed and Whole Foods didn't appear to carry it). I ran into LensCrafters, looking to see if they could help me out with my contact lenses, and one of the employees didn't hesitate and gave me a small bottle of contact lens solution to help me out. I really needed kindness today after a hard holiday season. This gesture was so kind and understanding that it really made my day. Going forward, my friends, family and I will be looking to get our sunglasses or prescription lenses from this LensCrafters because I only want to spend my money with people who are kind and caring of other human beings. This Practice is horrible. They originally told me it would be available for pick up in a couple of days, but 4 days later I had to call and follow up with them. They finally told me I could pick them up in the evening. Once I got there, they make you wait 30 minutes to pick up contact lenses, just for them to tell me they don't have it. Phong, the optician, went over and beyond to help me find me the exact pair of eyeglass I had just broke. Waited over 40 minutes after scheduled appointment. Appointment was fast and not very thorough. Left to get the specific eye drops recommended after surgery. Got a text stating that they now recommended a different eye drop, and that I can pick it up from there. Drive 10 mins back to get it. My appointment was scheduled for last Wednesday at 1:40pm. I arrived 10 minutes early and noticed that both employees were occupied so I sat in the waiting area where they both could see me. Around 1:41pm, one employee asked me to fill out standard paperwork. It took me less than 5 minutes to complete it. I brought it back to the employee and he responded with, "You're done?".. Well no shit.. He told me to sit and wait, which was fine.. until I noticed that 6 new customers were being helped before me. When I noticed the time was 2:01pm, I was fed up and didn't want to make a scene so I got up and left. I received a text at 4:32pm from the establishment. Really? Use the doctors the exams are great. even with insurance, you can go directly to the manufacturer and get glasses cheaper. I had them go ahead and replace lenses in a pair of sunglasses and eyeglasses as the direct price for new glasses was going to be a bit more and my glasses were only 6 months old ( I had a health issue and my eyes were affected) I was not informed only one lens was ready when I made time to go in, but I guess that was ok. on the phone they stated it would be 30 min to an hour. when I arrived I asked if they could text me when the glasses were ready, as I was informed it would be from 30 to 60 min. She said it would be up to an hour. I stated yes I know will you text me when they complete the replace,emt? She repeated it would take up to an hour...I was dumbfounded. I returned in an hour and she would not help me, I waited until another associate helped and I picked up my glasses. they are fine. again use the doctors, and buy glasses from the manufacturer directly. it is faster from the manufacturer also. Another staff finished with a client, proceeded to take a telephone call, and then started assisting another client who arrived to the glasses selection and fitting area after me. I brought my broken glasses in and not only were they able to fix them, they adjusted my sunglasses and my husbands glasses and sunglasses as well, the girl who helped me was super nice & she knew what she was doing. I've had glasses adjusted at some places that left them worse than they were when I brought them in. It was quick, done correctly and best of all: free of charge. I tried on a bunch of frames here and they have a good selection. They are following COVID precautions & you have to put all of the glasses you tried on in a box for them to clean before they put them back out on the floor. They are located between a Rite Aid & Whole Foods. Parking can be tricky because the center is busy and the lot gets full. read more

Amazing customer service! Came here briefly to see if they did repairs in hopes to get my Ray-Bans fixed. I had sat on them resulting in a bent hinge. Earlier in the month, I went to Sunglass hut for the repair but they said they didn't want to run the risk of completely breaking my glasses and refused. They suggested that I go somewhere that had a licensed optometrist and LensCrafters was the best option. I handed the sunglasses over to the man at the front desk and he told me, just as sunglass hut did, that attempting to fix them may break them completely. Worst service and worst appointment planning! Had appointment set for 3.20 and I came in on time, filled in some forms and got the machine test, no issue. The employee in a non apologetic way, approach me after waited for 25min and let me know I need to wait for another 25min before the optometrist can see me as they have another person in front of me! His demeanor is like not our fault, "take it or leave it", which makes me mad! Hello..... this is a total of 50min wait time, NOT including the exam time and glasses fitting. This location is CLOSED and staff moved across the freeway in the Los Olivos center (near Whole Foods). The new retail area is bigger, but the "lab" is now 1/10th the size. The result is fewer lenses are in stock, and the "lab" must now send most prescriptions out for a 7 day wait. "Glasses in about an hour" is GONE. LENS Crafters has now moved too far from the original concept of "glasses in about an hour". It is evident that this store concept is to move the majority of the lab outside the store to increase profit. The end result feels like less service, higher prices, and an effort to justify this by using up-selling techniques that say that the quality you USED to provide was simply not good enough. With this in mind, why would Someone pay the premium at LensCrafters with only access to one lab, why wouldn't Customers go to an independent optometrist to fill a RX with a Zeiss prescription or someone else? Have you been to a Dunkin Donuts recently? To increase profits they no longer make donuts in the store, they make them in a central distribution center, freeze them, and now thaw them for sale in the stores. Expenses have gone down for Dunkin Donuts because they no longer need fryers and prep equipment in stores, they can reduce the size of shops and rent, but now their donuts taste like they were frozen. Lens Crafters is headed in this same direction. If you can get a sup-par frozen donut at the supermarket for less money, why would you continue to go to Dunkin Donuts? The same logic will soon apply to LensCraters in this new model. In the past I was willing to pay a premium price for convenience, but now paying $700+ for a top-end progressive Rx and having to wait 7 days makes me look more carefully for an independent optometrist who can provide better quality Zeiss Rx lenses with the best coatings and optical characteristics at $500 and get it in just 7 days. $200 savings, same amount of time, and no Luxottica "up-sell". Lens Crafters has lost its advantage. I will not be back. read more

Initially had a good experience with Dr. Vicky Bui but after I ordered my contacts for astigmatism online (don't order from them, even with discount it's cheaper online) I realized they don't fit my eye well. I've never had an issue with contacts before but it doesn't seem like they measured me correctly because the fit is so off and now I have a one year supply of contacts... When I called to complain, the front desk said that he would check for me and after putting me on hold for 10 minutes, said that the opto was busy and he would call me back later that day. And did he?! Of course not. Don't come here. I only gave it a shot cause it's right across my apartment and was in network. read more

I had an excellent eye exam with Dr Clara Chang. She is attentive to details and thorough in her explanation of what tests I took, what the test results mean and what treatment I need to alleviate the problems. She is the 3rd optometrist I have gone to to help correct my contact lens vision complicated by dry eyes, imflammation and clogged tear glands. My vision has drastically improved after only 5 days with her medication and supplements treatment and I can now also see clearly with my new contact lens prescriptions. I believe Dr Clara Chang has found the root cause of my issues and fixed it. The test equipments are state of the art and her office staff is tentative and friendly. I believe I receive great care there and will definitely come back. BTW, there is plenty of parking and great restaurants and markets nearby too. Thank you. read more

I've gone here with my wife several times as this is where she likes to buy her frames. They have a great selection and the staff are very affable and helpful. If you buy your frames here they will repair them for free within an hour (which was the reason for our most recent visit). My one and only gripe with this place is that they always seem to be understaffed. My most recent visit here found two employees working and four people wanting glasses when we walked in. It took 20 minutes before we could hand off the glasses for repair. But an hour later they were ready. You may have to wait a while to get helped but they do a good job. read more

I have been using this location for over two years. I keep getting my contact lens from here. I've spent God knows how much money hey between lenses, glasses and sunglasses over the years. Today I book an appointment for an eye exam. I'm wearing disposable contact lenses. I would have to remove them for the exam. I ask them if they can give me one pair of temporary contact lenses to wear after the exam. ONE PAIR!!!!!! They said no. They said I have to buy more lenses to get ONE PAIR OF TEMPORARIES!!! I told them that I am getting an eye exam. I paying for that. Plus I'm getting new prescription glasss from them. Can't they give me ONE PAIR to wear after the exam. They said NO! I would have to order new contacts to get ONE PAIR of temporary lenses. So I said fine I'll order MORE contacts just to get one free PAIR. They said no I can't order new contacts because my prescription has expired. I said I KNOW THATS WHY IM HERE. TO GET A NEW PRESCRIPTION. In an effort to get a new prescription I have to take off the disposable lenses I'm wearing right now and after the exam I would like ONE PAIR of temporary lenses. Can you give me one pair so that I can SEE while I order the new lenses and the new glasses???? "No we can't do that". WTF!!!! I walked out. I'm never coming back here again. The girl who worked here was RUDE, CONDESCENDING and would not even try to help me with ONE PAIR SO THAT I CAN CONTINUE TO SEE after that exam was over. Unbelievable!!!!!
