Chilibeans has become my go to store where I choose to buy my watches and glasses / sunglasses exclusively. - The pricing is very affordable so I can go back a few times a year for fresh styles - the quality is high especially for the price - the customer service is absolutely first rate (the staff and particularly Liam are SO helpful and go out of their way, especially consideringI don't live nearby) - I cannot count how many times I get compliments on the products, especially the watches! My friends with products 5-10x the price don't even get noticed! It always amazes me. The unique designs are classy, generally subtle, but head turning. I honestly can't recommend this store enough. Scammers. Do NOT buy from this place. My 2 year old boy wanted some glasses from here so we stopped in. They acted like my wife's card got declined twice, so I used my Apple Pay (SAME BANK ACCOUNT AS MY WIFE) to pay for the transaction, which we were already charged for. They also said they can only do email receipts so I provided an email and never got a receipt from them. I filed a claim with my bank but without a receipt they won't reverse the charges. A few years ago, I had went to Vegas and found my favorite pair of sunglasses. I wish I had bought multiple but did not know they once the style is sold out, it's gone forever. I ended up losing that 1st pair of sunglasses and was devastated. It was the only pair of sunglasses that provided great sun protection as well as fit my face. I have worn all the high end designer brands and still nothing compares to the 5MM style that Chillibeans carries. Unable to make the trip back out to Vegas/California to buy more pairs in person due to work restraints, I came across Liam's contact information. Liam has been more than phenomenal in assisting me in ordering two more pairs of my favorite sunglasses earlier this year. Sadly, I lost one and the other one got stolen out of my vehicle. The glasses are cheap because they are CHEAP!!...bought a pair of sunglass 2 months ago and yesturday the arm broke, didnt sit on them, didnt drop them, normal wear. Just cheap material. Money Scammers! My husband and I went in and liked the sunglasses. They have color coded prices. We picked out 2 pairs and when we went to check out they told us a different price. We liked them so much that we got them anyway. When we got home we realized they overcharged us. Their computer system is price gouging! I don't usually write reviews but I felt like I should for this store because I had a really good experience here. I also wasn't expecting to buy a pair of sunglasses. The plan was to try them on and say "cool, thanks" and leave but that didn't end up happening and I have no regrets. Dexter (like the show) was really nice and welcoming. He didn't pressure me to buy a pair or anything and conversed with me naturally. Though I will say that he said they would get deep cleaned but he just sprayed some glasses spray onto a cloth and wiped the frame which doesn't seem like much of a deep clean. I am quite satisfied with my experience here though and these are some quality sunglasses. Surprising purchase and a satisfied customer. I received amazing online customer service from Liam from the Irvine Spectrum Centre Store. I purchased some sunglasses while I was I Vegas back in October. Just recently, the arm broke in half. As I live in Canada with no access to a Chilli Beans store, I emailed their customer service asking if they could do something for me. Chilli Beans very well could have said no and told me they couldnt assist but I got the complete opposite response. Liam made the process so easy and stress free for me. He went above and beyond trying to send me a replacement pair. While they were sold out of my specific style, he did find a very close version. I am very grateful for the replacement shades. I bought a couple of pair of glasses in Brazil in May 2019 June I attempted to contact the company for the return/exchange policy and the customer service never replied to my emails. How a great pair of sunglasses gets damaged as soon as I went outside on the 100 Degrees. I am disappointed with the brand and far more with such awful service. They prepare sells personnel to sell but the company is refusing to respond consumer with the rights of replacement and exchange. I never never NEVER write yelp reviews.......however this time I felt like I had to. I bought Harry Potter glasses while I was in Las Vegas a long time ago. I LOVED those glasses. Low and behold I come home one day with my glasses on my head, my dog jumps on me, knocks glasses off my head, dog picks up glasses and chews them up. :( I called Chili Beans in Irvine to see if by change they had any Harry Potter glasses still in stock (this was an old collection). Sadly, Jorge said no. But he was kind enough to take my name and number and said he would check other stores for me. I figured it was just a way to get me off the phone and that I would never hear from him again. Next day Jorge texts me pictures of Harry Potter glasses that he was able to find at another store (plus a Harry Potter watch). I was very excited and very thankful. I thought I would have to drive to Irvine to pick up (200 miles) but Jorge was able to ship them to me. Provided me tracking number and follow up to make sure glasses (and watch) arrived safely and that I was happy with them. As soon as this Covid is over I am going to drive down there and give him a hug for the WONDERFUL customer service he provided. I had bought a pair of sunglasses from Chili Beans several years ago when in Cali on vacation. They were my favorite pair. I dropped them and scratched the lenses. I emailed the company and got immediate response from Liam. He was very responsive throughout the process and although I was not able to get them fixed he hooked me up with a great new pair that I like even better than my original sunglasses. I've always loved their product, and have talked up the brand and the store. I would even tell people where it's located, about the brand being from Brazil, how unique it was etc Want to enjoy a date night with someone at spectrum and casually browse the cool store you we're talking about? Forget it. You'll be bombarded by overly aggressive salespeople who will invade your personal space and ask you 5 open ended questions when clearly you've nicely suggested that you're "just browsing today". Get the hint buddy. You'll get commented on everything you touch, and they'll as you if you like something before you even know if you like it! Want to browse all the products? Be prepared to have someone hovering over you the entire time, in your personal bubble. =) If you're lucky, you'll get a watch or a pair of sunglasses shoved in your face! And the guy will tell you why it's cool. =D I couldnt wait to leave! And neither could my partner. I might have even bought something... I saw a few good sales too. Too bad. If the salesperson made a natural and casual connection, felt out the client, respecting their space and giving them time to browse, you may have made a sale. I never wanna walk in again. You've killed your browsing experience Chili Beans and this isn't the first time this has happened. glasses broke within 1 month, no one picks up the phone or cares to help. the manager can only be reached through an employee text so you have to physically go and talk to someone. i'm very disappointed in the horrible customer service and lack of working with the customer to help them. we had defective glasses that were over $80 and I feel very bad that I wasted so much money. read more

Here is my experience. There was problem after problem, which resulted in me driving back and forth 3 times. Firstly they couldn't get it working first day, no problem. Then I go to get it and they hadn't cleaned the inside like I asked nicely for. They send it to my house. No problem. Then it comes and the battery doesn't work. Great. I ask to return it and the same guy who sold it to me is rude and tells me he made it clear. Which is a lie. It was no clear it was very sneakily hidden between his sales pitches . MY FAVORITE SUN GLASS STORE IN THE COUNTRY!!! From the first time I walked in, both the staff and selection were amazing. I've purchased over 8 shades and 4 watches. The shades are swapped out every couple weeks with new styles, frames, colors and lenses. I'M SAYING THERE ARE HUNDREDS OF SHADES AND WATCHES!!! Still to this day, I have never seen ANYBODY else wearing the same shades as me or the same watch. Which is awesome to set yourself apart and trust me, they both get noticed all the time. Went in looking for something very specific, a woman's watch that wasn't too bulky, had indiglo, and all numbers, not dots and dashes. After the helpful staff pointed out several options, I was ready to give up, but when I said, pink or blue accents would be good, he pointed out a cute silver watch with a pink face. It doesn't have indiglo, but had everything else I wanted. It looked good on, but was rather loose. They started work right away to take a link out, but didn't have the exactly right tools, so it's an arduous process. We ran out of time and promised to come back after dinner and movie. In the meantime, they had upselled my wife on a pair of sunglasses. When we came back, the watch was still too big, so he did a few micro adjustments, each time, still too big. I was starting to feel sorry for him. I wasn't going to get a watch that didn't fit well. With just a few minutes left before they were supposed to close, we left to do some Pokemon hunting and give him time to get that extra link out. When we came back at closing time, he was just finishing up, his associate was ringing up another customer, and he did several more adjustments to make it fit perfect. We got the watch and some shades, learned more about Pokemon from the guys, they clued in fast we were INTO it, and felt taken care of. Would have been great to have somewhere in the store to sit while waiting, but there were chairs just outside, and I could hear my wife laughing the whole time she was finishing up the transaction. read more

This place is still wonderful and has the same excellent customer service I wrote about in my last review (which for some reason is "not recommended".) I came here a few days ago to buy my mother a watch and I was helped out by their incredibly helpful and knowledgeable staff. I can be kind of clueless when it comes to buying things for the important women in my life so it's always nice to be able to get some feedback when it comes to getting them something I know they'd like. This is a shout out to Dexter at the Irvine location! He really went above and beyond in trying to get me a new pair of sun glasses. I had my favorite pair stollen recently that i originally purchased in Brazil. Dexter did everything he could including contacting order fulfillment and his manager to see how we could get another pair of glasses. Let me add this is over 2 or 3 days of searching and im all the way over in Chicago. In the end we learned that Chilli Beans policy wouldn't ship the sun glasses but Dexter's dedication to solving my problem made an enormous difference. I bought my brother a nice watch from this place for Hanukkah. After reading the reviews on yelp, I got worried that I made a poor investment since there have been some pretty poor reviews. But, for now the watch seems to be fine given the fact that my bro has only had it for a day. I spent over $100 on the watch including tax because the look, shape, feel, and overall quality of the watch was great. I give this place 3 stars because my brother loves it; he says it reminds him of Power Rangers Blue Morpher... Lol One con of this shop is evident though: No returns. Keep that in mind!
