Had to take advantage of our vision benefits and my fam of three got our annual eye exam and ordered our prescription frames at the same time! Service was organized, friendly, there was a wait but not unusual. Clean with enough waiting couches. There is a separate area for the eye exam and doctor. Doc was thorough, friendly, and went over my results and provided extra guidance and tips on how to care for my eyes. Shop was overall clean but I feel they could've added another table with chairs but they are pretty busy so it may just add to the already tightness once a lot of folks come in to browse. Able to get all our needs met in about 3hrs. Mind you we are a fam of 3. So take that for what it is and we showed up at our appt time at 1pm. No complaints from me or my fam. read more

Yelp really needs a zero star option. I went all in at Lens Crafters with an eye exam and two pairs of RX glasses for over $1000.00. Could have gone a different route with Costco which would have been way cheaper but I wanted the Ray Ban Meta smart glasses. So I paid and also got additional insurance for a year. Well fast forward 4 months and my Ray Ban Meta glasses broke and the speakers stopped working. Personally that's the best part of the glasses but with a peace of mind of paying for additional insurance and a 2 year warranty (according to Ray Ban Website), I called to get a replacement to LensCrafters. Apparently it would cost me an additional $125 to get my 4 month old glasses. I told them that it was not right and I was never told about a copay for warranty. They called me back the next day to tell me it would just cost me $50 out of pocket. Well screw that! I'm not paying anymore out of pocket and I will try and get the warranty directly through Ray Ban. This is the absolute worst customer service on a product that was very expensive! Obviously it was a big mistake going to LensCrafters and I do not recommend their store. They should have disclosed the fact that they were going to charge me an additional copay of $25 (lens) and $100 (frames bc they are electronic) before they sold me the additional insurance. Went in for an appt with dr . I had been there many times in the past. Lady at desk said i didn't have an appt at time I told her I did. I showed up at 1 pm and that was my appt time. She said was it this location She asked my name again and I told her. She asked for my birthdate. She said i had no appt. I showed her my email confirming day and time. She said my name and birthdate wrong thinking i was someone else. She then asked someone else to come in who verified my info again and said my appt was wrong. She then said if I wanted to they had an opening for an appt right now as someone didn't show up. She said this with a straight face. Meanwhile while this was going on I booked an appt at Target in San Clemente. After going there i saved $375 from my normal Lens Crafter's bill and was handled very professionally. read more

I ended up paying alot more than what I was quoted. When I asked why the charge was so high I was given an attitude and a curt answer. Incompetent associates. I got my eye exam couple weeks ago. Picked out 2 different glasses one for close and one for far. Supposedly something was wrong and had to leave without paying for them. Few days later i paid for both so i thought. Went today to oick up both pair and they said only one was ordered. No idiot i order two. If you see the drs rx it says 2 pairs. Worst LensCrafters location. Had to return for a second exam because the 1st optometrist was horrible. I've had some serious eye problems my whole life, which have been addressed and fixed with optometrist's spending a little extra time with me and making sure that when my prescription was changed my prism was also adjusted. Not them, just eyeballed it, no pun intended. When asked about other items that were bothering me and I was having a hard time with, they simply told me nope, nothing we can do. Reception/eyeglasses staff extremely unprofessional. They don't have vogue in the store and online only. Told me they don't exist, couldn't order them for me, I had to buy what they had in the store. Not true. My glasses that I finally chose came in, absolutely horrible, messed up lenses, frames feel horrible and don't fit. They didn't tell me about the return policy that I found out about at the Fashion Island store. Never offered to adjust them in the store for me. Total waste of time and money. Go to the Fashion Island store for 100 times better service. read more

As a loyal customer of Lenscrafter, I usually get my glasses done annually or semi-annually. When I called them this year to let them know that my eye coverage had changed, I wanted to check if I was eligible at their location. They confirmed that I was eligible and offered me a free eye exam. They also set up an appointment, and I went for my exam, where I was given my new prescription. After the exam, an advisor helped me pick out my protest sunglasses, and I mentioned that I would have liked new lenses for my existing frames. The advisor told me he could put new lenses in frames purchased from Lenscrafters for around $150. I decided to bring in two of my favorite frames and get new lenses, but I was given $286 per frame. Despite being frustrated with the price, I was happy to get additional glasses for travel and home. I received a text message that my glasses were ready, and I called to check if both pairs were prepared. I was told that they were, but when I went to pick them up, only one pair was available. They informed me that the other pair was yet to arrive and they would mail it to me via FedEx. After waiting a week and not receiving the glasses, I called Lenscrafter again to ask about the delay. They confirmed they had the glasses at the store, and I went to pick them up. I mentioned the issue I had with the missing glasses to a nice guy at the store, and even though I had to pay for the glasses out of pocket since I didn't have insurance, I was glad I could finally fix my new glasses. The gentleman I spoke to about my glasses situation explained that the first person I encountered was the store manager. This could be why I initially received good customer service, but things went downhill. I doubt I will return to this LensCrafters location or any other and will instead look for a more personalized service. When I expressed my dissatisfaction to the person at the store, they seemed disinterested and wanted me to leave, offering little comfort with assistance. It was clear they didn't care about my feelings, so I left the store feeling frustrated. There was no recovery except for the person giving me my original pair of glasses and the assistant manager who tried, stating he would ship my glasses, but no follow through. read more

Clean, immaculate facility, with impeccable service. Went into get my prescription lens updated and was greeted right away without any pushy salespeople. Was able to get the eye exam at the scheduled time with no wait. The process went smoothly, and the doctor was able to clearly diagnose my vision. She was patient in listening to my inquiries and answering them clearly. The optometrist was also knowledgeable in providing me with options such as the blue-light blocking lens, etc., but was not pushy in trying to get me to purchase the options. In addition, I also had to repair the frames of my sunglasses as some of the screws had fallen off, causing the frames to fall apart. LensCrafters repaired my sunglasses free of charge, and even provided me with a free new case, as my old case was damaged. Was in and out in less than an hour, and the service was legit and I never felt like I was being ripped off or pressured. Lens Crafters is awesome. I always figured they just sold frames. I was at the mall and decided to give them a try. I have a couple of frames that I love. My past 2 optometrists said they could not fit new lenses for them. I thought that was a "thing." But Lenscrafters did. And they worked with my insurance to get me the best possible deal. It was an "A HA" moment. I realized my previous optometrists just DIDN'T want to use my old frames because that's how they make a lot of their money. I also didn't realize that Lens Crafters gave eye exams. They were much more thorough than previous optometrists and spent more time with me explaining the results. The thing that excites me the most is that I was watching some infomercials while I waited for my appt. One segment showed lenses that would transform into sun glasses when you were outside, and back to normal when inside. These are a gamechanger! Thank you LensCrafters! read more

Brought it in i was dismissed by a male tecnician like its not their problem since i did not purchased the warranty. But another lady technician help to print information of the purchase. But i still have to deal their partners Luxortica. Weeks never got any response. This is my new go to shop. I have never experiences any unwillingness to help its customers which has caused me a lot of stress. I have never ever purchase warranty. This location is in violation of the FTC "Eyeglass Rule" in Effect Oct. 16, 2020. I will be reporting my experience to the FTC. I went to this location in MV, because my frames were broken & wanted a check-up (after 4 years). I should have followed my gut and walk-away from my appointment, when I could hear a disgruntled customer arguing with the manager. I paid about $200 for a Dr appt. & explained that I do not have insurance. I simply wanted to take this prescription & order frames online-- the Dr assured me that I had all the info I needed with this visit, to do so. I was a little apprehensive that they did not use disposable shields on top of their instruments-- in comparison to the LC Newport Beach location. Given cautious safety/sanitary protocols, this was my 2nd warning that this location does not have the same biz standards, I would expect from the LC brand. When I got home, to order frames-- I realized the "Pupilar Distance" measurement was not included on my Prescription Form. I called MV LC & was told "We do not provide that measurement, UNLESS you order a pair of glasses from us." ???? Frustrated, because I have spent thousands of dollars with LC over the years, buying frames-- I was told by the manager he cannot find my 'chart' in their system or record of me as a Lens/Frames customer, which would indicate this basic PL spec. This is a scam people!!! How does LC advertise they provide a 'thorough a prescription exam' & yet refuse to provide the "Pupilar Distance" measurement, unless you buy a pair of their overpriced frames. BE AWARE. FYI, I called the Newport Beach location & without challenge, they miraculously found my contact in the system and were helpful to provide me with my PL #, based-off previous orders. read more

I've been coming to this location and seeing Dr. Smith for the past couple years. They recently remodeled and have updated their eye exam equipment. The office is very clean and now looks like a doctors office instead of a retail shop. Dr. Smith is very kind and is very knowledgeable, especially with any new contacts in the market. The only reason I didn't provide a 5-star rating is because they messed up my contact order. They sent me me contacts from my old prescription. I went to the office to exchange them and after 2 weeks, I didn't receive my new order. I called them and apparently they never submitted my order. They were apologetic and offered for me to come in to pick up a new set until my order came in. read more

Attention! SARS! This is an update on my original review On December 30, I placed an order for a pair of glasses, anticipating a reasonable wait time. Initially, I was prepared to wait a day or two, and even up to five days. However, it's now February 7--over a month and a week later. Despite leaving multiple messages for the manager, SARS, I have not received a single callback. Additionally, I've spoken with over eight employees at the store, and not one has followed up with me. In my pursuit of resolution, I called the corporate office twice, filled out an extensive customer service form, but unfortunately, there has been no response. This experience has been immensely disappointing, especially considering the significant investment of over $400 for the glasses. Regrettably, I need to order glasses from a different retailer because I've come to realize the manager, Sar has zero intention of following up and returning any of my calls. I'm not going to mention names of the other employees that didn't follow up, because at the end of the day, I don't blame them for their poor customer service. With a manager like SARS leading the show and setting such a crappy example of how you should treat loyal customers, you're bound to have employees that don't care about providing a decent level of Customer Service. I was informed by an employee tonight that my messages are sitting on his desk, but he probably has more important things to do than to get back to Customers. When another employee told me that they forgot to order my glasses, I asked them why they didn't at least call me and let me know, and I was told that they're very busy and that they don't really have a process like that. What a joke. What type of company doesn't follow up with their customers? I don't think I'm asking for much. Thanks to LensCrafters at Mission Viejo, I'll spend tomorrow morning dishing out 500 bucks for another pair of glasses. I had a very pleasant experience at this location. I recently purchased a Fendi sunglasses from a department store and only a few weeks later the screw came loose. I took it to where I had purchased it at and they were not able to fix it. I was shopping at the Mission Viejo Mall and stopped by lens crafters to see if they can help. A gentleman by the name of John immediately greeted me and was very helpful. He said he was going to speak to his technician to see what they can do. I walked around the mall for only 15 minutes and went back to see if the technician had a chance to take a look at it. At that point John was sitting with his customers but still greeted me with a smile and called for another person to come out to help. I was very impressed of how he was so aware of his surroundings and attended to all customers. Another friendly gentleman by the name of Jesse came out with my sunglasses. I was extremely surprised to see that it's not only fixed but the screw matched perfectly too! Jesse went above and beyond to tighten the rest of them as well since he noticed them coming loose and this was all complimentary ... now this is what I call outstanding customer service!
