I love Dr. Ursetta, but she & her staff aren't good with timing. I had an appt time & another appt elsewhere right after. I was waiting for over 20 minutes, anxious as each minute ticked by. I caught Dr. U as she exited to get something. As she was going back, she told me she was working as fast as she could. At that point, I'd say, that patient needed more time to get her prescription right OR they started late. Luckily, i was able to push out my other appt, which wasn't cool to have to ask for & was a miracle I wasn't being charged a no-show as that other appt had other openings, b/c I needed to see Dr. U more urgently & her schedule was too full for the next couple weeks. It was a terribly stressful situation for me, the front desk had no say & wouldn't hint to Dr. U for me, so I had to wait outside her exam room door & let her know of my situation & luckily she exited for a second. It was unprofessional. That being said, after seeing her for the brief situation I needed to clarify for 10 minutes, I would've been late to my next appt, but I would've had some time left to not be charged. The point is still that it's not professional to have to be put through that anxiety, awkwardness, & lack of service from the front desk, . I'd still highly recommend Dr. Ursetta, but give it a LOT of extra time & be ready to really communicate what you need w/ a LOT of clarity, then you'll get what you need. I've been coming here for awhile and every time I come, I always feel like Dr. Vu listens to my concerns and addresses them without judgement. I'm VERY particular when it comes to my glasses and I am usually hesitant to try new things as I am very sensitive when it comes to my vision. The one time I decided to try a new type of lenses and ultimately felt like they weren't for me, Dr. Vu and the office staff were very quick to get me into lenses I wanted. They gave me a credit because the lenses I tried were more than my usuals and I was very pleased that I was not ripped off like I had been in the past at other places. They followed up with me every step of the way to ensure I was fully satisified and never tried to profit off me. Let me start out by saying Dr Vu was awesome. So for the last 25 years I had been going to the same optometrist about an hour away from South OC. I grew up LA county and just kept going to my Doctor from out there. My Doctor retired so I found Dr Vu from Yelp and the reviews are true! The staff is so nice, friendly, and helpful. When going to a doctors office that's a big plus for me because in some ways you deal with them more than the doctor. I was super happy with the technology being used here and it was a game changer. Like I said, my old doctors office was very dated. Turns out concerns I had been bringing up to my old doctor for a couple years, Dr Vu was able to assist. My old Doctor had basically prescribed me the wrong prescription. My stigmatism was not treated properly. So all my strain driving at night, difficult sill seeing, and eye discharge, Dr Vu helped! I was only at 20/40 vision with my old prescription. Since I've seen Dr Vu, I can see way better, driving at night no longer bothers me, and my eyes aren't so dry, full of discharge, and headaches are gone. Thank you to Dr Vu and all the great staff. Dr. Vu and her staff are AMAZING!! They're always so honest. I came in there to talk about Lasik and contacts. She told me I didn't need either. Because I have astigmatism, I have an advantage. They never try to take advantage like so many other optometrists have in the past. I saw how much class they had when I went to my appointment on Monday, and this woman called the office. I hear this lady screaming at the top of her lungs, using the worst profanity and calling them names, for over an hour! I am extremely nearsighted and Dr Vu is excellent at examining my eyes and making sure I have the proper prescription. She is very personable and through. My kids typically see Dr Ursetta, and I have to say, she's excellent too. She is very good with kids as is Dr Vu. Megan and the office staff are are so professional, kind and helpful. Megan has been with there since we started seeing Dr Vu 8 years ago. We had a crazy insurance issue which they had to deal with for a few years with no complaints. Oh no... I hate to give a bad review but don't waste ur time here. Optometrist is great I was really excited to have this as my new home. ... but .... Ughhhhhh front desk is awful. They gave me like 5 different stories about my insurance. First, only a discount, then they cover this but not that n it kept going n going. Before I made the appointment I made sure they took my insurance n that it took care of contacts(which is the only thing I wear). They said yes. But somehow when I get there they said no? Soooo what changed? Then I am covered but not for contacts only glasses???? Seriously, if u made a mistake admit to it. But don't get frustrated at me. Well, I tried talking to the doctor but they won't put me through so I hope the doctor sees this n knows she is amazing but her staff can use a bit of training. Worst experience ever. read more

When I saw Dr. Vu for the first time I was blown away by her professionalism, kindness, and patience. I got two new pairs of glasses: one for the computer and one for every day wear which I was switching from a bifocal to a progressive with a slight change in prescription. Unfortunately, I was not able to adapt to the progressive ones and after I saw Dr. Vu about it, we decided to go back to the bifocal. I greatly appreciated they accepted to redo the glasses although it was past the allowed time. When I got the new bifocal, the lab made a mistake on the measurements for the near portion, so they had to redo them. After I got the glasses redone, something was not right. The distance vision was fine but I was not able to read my phone or do anything in the near distance, since the image was not clear and there was a lot of distortion. I met with Megan who was extremely kind and patient and spent a lot of time with me trying to understand what was wrong and find a solution to fix the problem. Eventually, they graciously agreed to redo the glasses with some adjustments but that was for the last time they could redo it. When I finally got the glasses I was very hopeful this time they will work. Unfortunately, I am not able to use them. I can see at the distance, but still I am not able to see close-up properly. I truly appreciate everyone's kindness, patience and effort, but those glasses ended up useless and a big waste of money and time. read more
