Dr. Ngyugen provided very specialized eye therapy for me over the course of several months. It improved my reading speed and reduced my eyes from getting tired easily. Wow, how have I NOT reviewed my optometrist?! I started coming here in 2015 (I think) when I switched insurance, and my new insurance didn't accept my former optometrist. I think that was the best thing to happen to me? Dr. Nguyen and her team are absolutely wonderful. I appreciate the fact that I never feel rushed (though I know they are busy) and that you can actually GET an appointment after work (or at least near the end of the work day). I feel like the Dr. cares about your eye wellbeing. I'm no technology expert, but she has some of the nicest machines I've seen, and has some of the latest technologies. (This new machine takes these pictures of inside of your eye that can look for things like blood clots, etc. I've probably gotten that all wrong, but she / the retina specialist can actually check for things inside your eye.) I've been coming here several years now and I won't go anywhere else. I have a unique prescription that other doctors just couldn't seem to nail down well. I appreciate the experience from start to finish here. From the ease of scheduling, to not having to wait a long time once I arrive, to the great visit, and then handling anything else needed after. I am a life-long wearer of glasses and contact lenses. Dr. Nyugen and her staff are my favorite eye care providers...ever. The entire experience from booking the appointment, wait time (on-time!), the exam, ordering the lenses, and handling insurance is caring and easy. 3/2019 visit update - A+ now uses some impressive modern technology to look deep within the eye providing details images that surpass your standard eye exam which would have required dilation. Service is patient, informative and absolutely top notch. Been going here since 2016. 2016 visit - Called five other local optometrists before choosing this one. They were able to fit me in for an eye exam the same day and didn't require that I go to my primary for approval like other offices. The front desk staff had a very friendly and inviting personality. Upon arriving, I found the staff to be so pleasant and the office was very clean and beautifully laid out. They conducted a series of tests, maybe a dozen to pinpoint my needs. Dr. Nguyen was absolutely wonderful. I really appreciate that she thoroughly articulated the process, my needs and options with humor and patient care. You really get the impression that she really enjoys her work and cares about her patients. The staff that helped me select just the right glasses for me. Overall a very pleasant experience. Very knowledgeable, clean environment, and efficient procedures! Instead of filling out paper forms, they use a laminated paper that you write on w a sharpie. If you make a mistake just dab some water on a napkin and erase! Now that I have real eye insurance one of the first things I did was look for a good optometrist. No more LensCrafters for me! A+ Vision was everything I was looking for. Dr. Nguyen is very thorough and patient. Her staff was also extremely helpful in helping me pick out new glasses. I have always felt really comfortable and welcome in her office and I feel like she really cares about her patients. When Dr. Nguyen heard how I was mistreating my contacts she even worked up some simple solutions on how I can realistically take better care of my eyes. Every time I have called with silly eye questions the staff has taken care of me and I get a follow-up call the next day. Her staff also called me to see how the new glasses were working out and if I needed any adjustments. Her office sends occasional emails with eye health information - and while I don't always read them, I think they are a nice touch. I wish my other doctors treated me with as much care and individuality as they do at A+ Vision. read more

I had the best experience with Dr. Nguyen she was SO thorough and so kind and professional and just all around wonderful. All of the girls staffed here from the receptionists to the sweet girl in the glasses/shop portion of the office were awesome. Very polite, very helpful, and went above and beyond to help me understand my prescription (I'm pretty new to glasses). I needed some hand holding, especially after a third party I ordered my lenses from made my prescription completely wrong and caused major issues for me. The girls here checked my lenses for me and confirmed they were in fact made wrong, Dr. Nguyen checked my eyes again, and another girl on staff wrote down detailed notes for me so I could explain to the third party what was wrong and what they need to do to fix my glasses for me. When my new lenses arrive I'm taking them back in to Dr. Nguyen's office to be tested before I wear them because I trust this place and they take such great care of their patients!!! read more

Our three children and I had our annual eye exams today, and we've never had such a wonderful doctor's office experience anywhere. Dr. Nguyen was incredibly thorough and gave us more insights on our vision than we've ever had on any of us... ever. THEN... Shayla (probably spelling that wrong) helped us pick out frames. In the past at different offices, I've always been left alone and then "rung up" once I had my choices. Oh no... This sweet thing gave us a true consultation and helped us choose the exact pair of both glasses and sunglasses that were the best, most comfortable, and complementary frames for both of our faces. It was like having a personal shopper! I annually dread taking all four of us together for our check-ups, esp. with an impatient youngest daughter. But they were SO hospitable, patient, and welcoming -- even to her, who can fit in a million questions and trips to the bathroom during 30 minutes of sitting in a waiting room! We saw the doctor serve lots of other patients efficiently throughout our entire visit. We were shocked when we realized we had spent FOUR hours there, between forms, exams, shopping, and ordering. It felt like our typical two, but time flies when you get such personable and friendly service! I can't say enough good things about Dr. Nguyen's office. I called last minute this morning to make an appointment, hoping they could accommodate me. To my surprise, they had an available appointment just a few hours later. Dr. Nguyen, Blanca and her intern, Angelica, were all great. I was warmly welcomed upon entering and the office itself is clean and updated. Blanca was very efficient with all the paperwork and there was next to zero waiting. I recommend this office to anybody. I have been to offices in the past where I felt like they were just looking at you as a $$ sign. Here, it was completely different. I can see now! So thankful that Dr. Nguyen was so patient with me. I had decided to try contacts for the second time. My first time was not so successful, and it was with another office. I had gotten frustrated my first time and had given up. When I went to Dr. Nguyen, I explained my concerns and what I was looking for. She listened to me completely and did an exam. Trying on contacts is challenging because my prescription is so strong that it must be specially ordered. After a few pairs, Dr. Nguyen got it perfectly! My husband and I both work M-F, so I was thrilled when I found a local optometrist that was open on Saturdays! We scheduled back-to-back appointments so we could knock them both out and continue on with our day. The entire staff (including Dr. Nguyen) was exceptionally friendly, chatty and helpful. Dr. Nguyen was, hands down, the most thorough optometrist I've ever had. For example- I'm 29 years old, have an astigmatism in one eye, am nearsighted and have blue eyes. She gently scolded me for not wearing sunglasses regularly. None of my other eye doctors had even cared what I did once I left their office. So, this was actually a very welcomed scolding, because I know I need to. :P Everyone at A+ Vision Optometry does everything they can to make you feel comfortable and at ease. They also like to joke around, and it makes for a really pleasant overall experience.
