During my trip to see Sagrada Familia I found this chill spot. We stopped for breakfast and a drink to cool us off. Decided to sit outside as it was only 11 AM and the weather was vibing. Nice staff was very accommodating when we had an accidental spilled a beverage. Their classic lemonade was so refreshing. It was frozen and it reminded us of a slurpee you'd get at 7-Eleven. This restaurant was able to immediately accommodate us for a group of 13. Service was friendly and fast. My daughter who pretty much grew up on burgers in California said that the burgers was the best she has ever had. The grilled octopus was succulent and well seasoned. The tapas were sooo good. We got a cheese plate, Ibérico plate, the peppers (shishito), the potatoes, the steak and chimichuri, croquettes, and bread with tomato and the Spanish tortilla. Everything was yummy! The favs were the croquettes, the patatas bravas, and the steak chimichuri. The iberico plate had so much meat on it. It was worth the 15€. We ordered some bread with it and I thought it would be dry sliced bread but instead came out the bread with tomatoes. I had the bravas and garlic prawns. The bravas were the most disappointing I had in Spain. Not very crispy and extra oily. The prawns were okay, nothing special, 5 small prawns for 9€. Burger was pretty good. Nice ambiance. If you want food near Sagrada it's okay, but I would recommend trying somewhere else. I originally came here because the reviews were really good and the nachos looked great. From what I could tell it wasn't too touristy or over priced. I was happy to find that correct. The nachos we're really good and a huge serving. The patatas bravas were the best I had in Spain on my trip. Perfectly cooked and the sauce was fantastic. I got there right before the kitchen opened and the chef came out and spoke with me a little. He was super friendly and made it an even better experience. We had a long day of touring sites. This canes up with good reviews. We were slightly hesitant because of the "Americanism" of the place (hamburgers, nachos), but it was fantastic! This place was only a few train stops from where we were staying. This really factored into why we chose it here. Chill Bar is located very close to La Sagrada Familia. We ordered the Nachos, patatas bravas, and something else (I can't remember). The server was so friendly! We were honestly disappointed in what we ordered, it wasn't very good. It just lacked flavor. The name is as advertised. It was located a short walk from our Air BnB so we stopped in one night after a long day in Barcelona. The vibe is on the younger side, but I know there were a lot of college students traveling over at this time (early June). We are in our 40's but didn't feel too out of place. They are tables outside and inside, but the inside is definitely more of a basement vibe, very casual. We visited twice, but never dined. They have a great cocktail menu of which I ordered the espresso martini, pisco sour, pron star martini, and aperol spritz. Loved them all and also very affordable. If you are looking for food around Sagrada Familia, Chill Bar is a solid gastropub and a block from the basilica. I definitely recommend the Chili con carne, Cajun yogurt salsa nachos. They were very good. For my entrée, I ordered a burger: the "Gourmet". The burger is a generous size. The beef is lean. There is also goat cheese on the burger. It is definitely hit or miss depending on your tastes. For me, it was definitely different. However, I felt indifferent to it in terms of taste. Overall, the food did not blow me away but it was very good. It was a good spot for lunch after we spent a couple hours touring Sagrada Familia. Not many places open late at night for food. We decided on a close by bar with decent reviews however the food was not good. We decided on two burritos for dinner, the pho rito and the thai red curry. The Pho ritto was only warm, not hot and had way too many bean sprouts. It was also a bit inconsistent where all the noodles were towards one end and the bean sprouts towards the other with the meat all layered in the middle. The Thai curry burrito tasted better however it was cold. Service was a bit slow as well and although we checked it to yelp which offered a free shot of jager, no shot ever arrived. We checked in on Yelp and received a round of free shots! The burgers were massive. We ordered them with a double patty. And trust me when I say that they are massive. The burgers come with a side of fries. The burgers are a must. You have to order them here. Their tacos are very interesting. The Thai taco had a very odd after taste.
