Great Spot for brunch before La Sagrada Familia tour. There's a lot of coffee options, including boozy coffee. We had the Bombon which is a shot of espresso with evaporated milk, great if you have a sweet tooth. For brunch we split the Benedict York and the Benedict Cecina. The York had a mayo based hollandaise with Iberian ham on it which didn't have much flavor but was still good. The Cecina had a mustard based hollandaise with corned beef which had a very good smoky flavor to it. Overall it was a nice atmosphere, great service d and great food. We had a very nice lunch here before our trip to Sagrada Familia. The burger is solid and the tomato rubbed bread with iberico ham was tremendous. We also sampled the Spanish omelette and it too was tasty. It is a great stop just far enough away from the crowds of the SF to make it a pleasant spot for a meal. Singular is a nice restaurant that may be a good choice for you if you're dining with a larger group. The restaurant is spacious (unlike many tapas places in the area). Everything we ordered tasted really fresh however it wasn't your typical "Spanish" food. Not the most authentic Spanish restaurant however the food is satisfying enough. read more

We were looking for a good place for breakfast/brunch while visiting the Sagrada Familia. What a surprise when we walked into this place and found they had a great breakfast menu. The Egg on Toast options they have are amazing. The owner waited on us and provided a great experience and also invited us to another restaurant he owns for dinner. Highly recommend this place if you want a great traditional breakfast with eggs and also to experiment with the many options they have for great egg, bread, meat combinations. Of course order some sparkling wine to sip on while you enjoy your food and the atmosphere. Great place to take your friends. read more

You would think that given its extremely close proximity to La Sagrada Familia, Singular would be the classic overpriced and tasteless tourist trap, but oh, how wrong you'd be. I had one of the best salads I've ever had here--if you're craving something light and refreshing on a hot Barcelona day, you have to try the Lolas salad. It was absolutely delightful and I could not have asked for a better salad. My friend ordered the cheese platter and was shocked at the generous portion she ended up with, and said that the olives here were the best she had on our trip. We sat outside and service was great, and it was actually a pretty quiet area to have a nice and relaxing lunch! read more

It looked like they had an upstairs but I'm not sure if there are tables, since the waitresses told us to sit downstairs, The goods: I ordered the fried eggs with bacon, sausage, white beans and toast. Note: don't ask for your eggs scrambled because the answer will be 'no' or 'order the scrambled eggs'. OK then. The eggs were awesome though. And buttery. I mean, I don't have eggs like this at home. We were looking for brunch places after visiting Sagrada Familia that wasn't far and wasn't a tourist trap. Singular is very near the church, so the prices definitely reflect that, but at least the food was very good. We had the Danish egg, smoked egg, Catalan cured meats platter, Spanish omelette and chicken croquettes, along with their fresh juices. There were only 2 of us and we had no problem finishing all of that. Standout dish for me was the Danish egg which consisted of poached egg, toast, tomato, arugula, smoked sardines and pancetta. The combination just worked and it wasn't fishy at all, which I was sort of hesitant about. Would definitely order again. The only thing I didn't really like was one of the cured meats, the Catalan bull (pronounced booy), as it was a bit too funky for me. My friend didn't mind it, so try it and you might like it. read more

Great breakfast/brunch spot close to Sangrada Familia! Perfect place to hang out before or after visiting Sangrada Familia. Coffee & tea selections were robust and done well. The food, which included a lot of egg dishes was really, really good. The decor looked like Joan Gaines had stopped by to arrange it all. They offer street side, inside and upstairs seating. We came here before going to the Sagrada Familia. We really lucked out that we found this place thanks to all the good reviews on yelp. My wife had been wanting eggs for a number of days and this place had them. The food here was really great. I had the salmon egg dish and it was really good (I'd order it again if I could). The portions were traditional so for us from the US they could seem smaller, but we're just used to too much food in one sitting :) The coffee was good and the staff was very quick and friendly. I would recommend you check this place out and stay away from the McDonald's or the Starbucks too which aren't far away. You can have better food while you're abroad, just take the leap! read more

Great modern hot spot near the Sagrada Familia. We came here at noon so they were wrapping up breakfast and starting lunch. Lucky for us, we got to order from both menus. The staff here is a bit slow in taking orders but was very nice. We started with an Americano and Cafe Latte. Both were nicely made and the Americano was very thick and creamy. Very different that the other coffees I had. For my brunch, I ordered their breakfast platter and boy was it good. Thanks to the suggestion of fellow Yelpers! The white beans was a really nice add on to crisp and juicy sausages and bacon. The portion size was healthy and nicely priced. The egg were served in a separate pan and tasted like any other place but the combination of the egg, white bean and sausage really stole the show. It also comes with bread and a side of fries which made it a great brunch. One star off for using a reeaaallly old ketchup bottle and slowish service. Glad we were not in a rush! It cost €2 (1@). -Requested regular water: a bottle of water arrived at cost of €3 As far as food: -Fish and Chips It is a deep-fried fish cube. The oil needs to be replaced for good eats. But, it is not good eats this time. The chip is not the typical fried. It is chips like potato chips. The chicken wings burrito (tapas) is exactly not good eats. The chicken meat tasted stalled. With chicken meat issue and charging extra without being upfront, it pissed my company off. I don't think there will be a return here. So Yelpers... heads up. read more

The burgers are good, the French fries okay. The sangria is good, but a little too sweet. The staff is nice and friendly. They have English speaking waiters and menus in multiple languages. The cheese and bread tapa was delicious. The red wine was very enjoyable and only €3 a glass. The patio area was nice to sit, relax and enjoy lunch. We stopped in fairly late for a simple meal. We ordered calamari l'andaluse (grilled) and learned that in the "authentic" version the calamari is actually fried. Our server conceded that the grilled calamari was probably better matched for the oyster sauce in the dish. In any event, it was very tasty (be mindful that oyster sauce is quite salty). We also ordered the cheese plate and got to sample 3 nice cheeses, each from sheep, goat or cow milk. It's served with lightly seasoned, toasted bread.
