Cool place near Sagrada Familia. The sangria was delicious and the service is quick. The prices were not too bad. The food was alright, lacked flavor and the potatoes were soggy. I would not go again!

Hole in the wall spot right outside Sagrada Familia. We had vodka tonics and sangria. Both were delish. We also had the beef filet with chimichurri and mashed potatoes. Absolutely delicious! Service was also fantastic. I hope we can come back here before we leave Barcelona. Top notch!

If you've spent time adrift in the teeming swarm of tourists that surround Gaudi's La Sagrada Familia, trust me, you'll need something to help you decompress beyond following the guy with the big bubble ring. Just across the park from the indelible landmark is this aptly named tapas bar because it captured exactly how we felt after taking dozens of photos of Gaudi's unfinished legacy. The minute we saw the name, Jamie W. and I knew we had to stop and take a load off. The server was a young American expat who was a perfect fit for the place, very chill. We knew we needed sangria, so we ordered the 18€ jug (1.5 liters) of Sangria with Cava, Fresh Fruit, and a House Blend of Liqueurs (photo: https://yelp.to/W2EYsMTo3I). It was so refreshing and made perfect by the accompaniment of the 5,50€ Patatas Bravas drizzled with aioli (photo: https://yelp.to/Ebav4L6zCJ). So perfect we got the T-shirt. Great neighborhood, great personal service, great chef (she came outside so we said hi! Had the sangria, chicken nachos and potato's bravas and both were fresh, hot, & delicious. We sat outside, love the neighborhood vibes.

The tapas were sooo good. We got a cheese plate, Ibérico plate, the peppers (shishito), the potatoes, the steak and chimichuri, croquettes, and bread with tomato and the Spanish tortilla. Everything was yummy! The favs were the croquettes, the patatas bravas, and the steak chimichuri. The iberico plate had so much meat on it. It was worth the 15€. We ordered some bread with it and I thought it would be dry sliced bread but instead came out the bread with tomatoes. It was a good value for the food and drink. €120 for 5 of us with a liter of sangria, 4 beers and a Pisco Sour.

The food was incredible. The truffle potatoes underneath were heavenly. The sangria is homemade. You can taste the love and time that went into the drink. Service and staff are amazing. They make you feel at home and welcomed.

These nachos were sooooooo so good it was the perfect amount for two for a late night meal. The service was pretty good our waitress was lovely and also spoke English. The ambiance is very nice we did sit out side but it is just around the corner from Sagrada Família and you can even see it a bit from where we were sitting.

i never leave reviews. i would be doing the world a disservice if i didn't say how SPECTACULAR the food and service is here. stopped by after our visit to sagrada familia just looking for a quick bite and stumbled across the BEST BURGER OF MY LIFE. i'm from the US so ik what a good burger is - but trust me, get the burger with chimichurri- i forgot the name of it but its the only one w chimichurri and its SPECTACULAR. the feeling inside was also so soft and jazzy and we loved it so so much. 100000/10 would definitely come all the way back to barcelona JUST for this place. loved it.

The portions looked as if they weren't much, but oh my gosh more than satisfying. The staff did not pressure us but had made some great suggestions on the shrimp and hummus with the bread and they were all spot on. I would say that the reviews do support the "Chill".

After getting lost in the beauty of Sagrada Familia, we stumbled into the Chill Bar looking for tapas and sangria. We arrived around 5-6PM, so the entire place was a ghost town. We were promptly greeted by an Irish man, whom I think is the owner, super friendly. The decor is quite interesting. Very chic and hipstery. We opted for a table in the back, dimmed lights makes it super relaxed and intimate. The menu offered a wide variety of food from Iberian ham platters, to Vietnamese spring rolls to Mexican tacos/burritos. We decided to go for a lighter meal, so we ordered a pitcher of sangria, the Iberian Ham platter and a cheese platter. The food came out pretty quickly, as it was empty. The sangria was refreshing, and delicious. It was a bit drier than I usually prefer but it was still great. The ham platter was beautifully presented, it came with four different types of ham. I honestly the owner was a bit more friendly and explained to us the difference in the ones we were eating. Regardless, all the meats were amazing, smokey, and flavorful. Next, again with the cheese plate, there were four different types of cheese, of them I knew the brie & blue cheese, but the other two were mild but I am unsure of the name. It also came serves with a marmalade with mini toasts that were amazing! If I could live in a jar the rest of my life, it would have been with that marmalade. The service was kind of shotty. I felt that since it was empty, we were kind of forgotten. We actually had to just walk to the front to get our check cause we never see the owner again. With all the tapa bars in Barcelona, maybe I'll skip out next time. Happy eatings! read more

Visiting Barcelona from the US and it was very hard to find a decent spot in the area that wasn't so touristy. This spot was actually pretty cool. I wasn't too interested in the food. I was looking for more authentic food but we had the cheese plate, meat, and bread with tomato... all were very good. The cheese plate was excellent. A lot of people raves about the sangria but I wasn't a huge fan. I thought the red wine used could have been a little better. Overall I gave the place a 4 stars because it's just as the title says, a Chill Bar. The Irish bartender was super friendly... other bar goers were just as friendly. I had some great wine there for cheap, the music was chill and the place was cool overall. Great place to stop in for a bite after seeing the Gaudi exhibit. Friendly atmosphere, cheap food, good tapas.. try the nachos .. very good. read more

This place was legit! The shredded tacos are amazing. My husband got some sort of burrito with this to die for creamy sauce. Portions are huge, and it's really fresh. The sangria is pretty decent too! See pic. We ate at a lot of places in Barcelona while we were these and this one is definitely at the top. Service was great and they spoke English! read more

Great place to stop after touring Sagrada Familia. They have vegan options and everything is high quality. We were a large group of 7 and were able to sit comfortably in the back. All of the food was amazing. The only complaint is my meal (nachos) came out after everyone else had finished eating. That seems to be consistent with the "tapas" style of eating. With so many touristy options in that particular area, it was great to find a place like Chill Bar. read more

Really awesome service and a fun vibe. We got a pitcher of sangria which was perfect with our meal. I ordered the tapa sized meals. Even though they named them tapas, I felt like their serving sizes were huge. I ordered two different tacos and I had a hard time finishing them up. I would suggest that you order just one taco even though they say they are tapa servings because the serving size was huge. My sister ordered a salad which was pretty good. read more

We stopped here for a quick snack after seeing La Sagrada Familia. I had a delicious sangria and we shared the macho nachos. A very reliable neighborhood bistro if you're looking for a light supper and a drink or two. Since I am staying round the corner, it's quite convenient. Just a short walk from the Sagrada Familia, and while it's obviously tourist prices, it's not as appalling as the pubs right across the street from the Cathedral. Service is typical for Barcelona. If you're in a hurry, you're in the wrong country! Sit back, relax and enjoy. I had the chicken tacos which were nice and spicy. I recommend the draft Clara (which is half Heineken and half lemonade - like a shandy). Refreshing and sweet. read more

This is drunk food. Frozen food heated up. If that's what you want it's perfect (I'm not kidding if I ate this at 2am drunk I'd have no complaints) but do NOT come expecting a yummy dinner. Staff is sooo nice so I don't mean to knock them, but seriously not good food. Drink were fine, mostly ice but ok. I wouldn't come back. read more

#1 this place has Terrible service - Very slow and not attentive. #2 the food is sub-par when you finally get it The seating is not comfortable - small indoor space. You feel very crammed in here, it's hot and small stools to sit on. Overall not a good place to CHILL - Instead of wanting to stay to "chill" we couldn't wait to get out of there. If we weren't so hungry and wanting to just get something in our stomachs we would have likely left and went elsewhere before we were brought anything at all. The drinks even took FOREVER and to be seated so long and waiting for drinks (even water) on a hot day is straight up rude. I highly recommend you find somewhere else in the area to spend your time and money. read more

I seriously love this place. We were walking by on the way to sagrada familia not many places were open because it was around 4pm on a Sunday. Then I saw Burritos on the sign out front. The way to my heart. I got the pollo burrito w no cheese. It was easily the best burrito I've ever had. The chicken was so tender and all the veggies and beans inside were perfect. My husband got the nachos and they were WOW, so great. I got a homemade brownie to go. Server was a real nice guy. I'm so glad we happened to stop here. Delicious food and a nice little spot outside. I would eat here everyday if we lived in Barcelona. Must go. Thanks! read more

Stopped in here when it started to rain on our way to la Sagrada Família. The name alone attracted us.. but the environment was literally super chill and the staff was super friendly!! I ordered one of the burritos, which was amazing, and my husband got a gourmet "brave one" which is an extra patty and they are THICK. Everything tasted great. I ordered a "Mexican firing squad" cocktail and it came in a cute cactus glass with decorations and I have to say that's always half the experience. The presentation. Anyways, 100% recommend and what's even better is that it's right around the corner from the Sagrada Familia Basilica. read more

This restaurant came up in my apple maps search for "healthy food." There are a couple salad options, but mostly burritos and sandwiches. We eat pretty low carb, so I tried to order the Thai salad, but it was unavailable. I got a chicken curry burrito instead and it was really good! My mom and aunt split the nachos, which were also really good. Nice place with fair prices, but not memorable enough to go back. Plus the low-carb options were limited, but hey, we're on vacation! The hummus was really yummy and it's made in house, so get that if you come! read more

Thoroughly enjoyed.... Tequila choices are much more than Jose.. Matthew from Ireland is fun and engaged... Tacos with Green Thai coconut chicken.......Excellent flavor. Would have again. Loved it!! I found the small seating arrangements very nice and the vibe was nice as well. I ordered nachos - they have vegan/veggie and meat. I ordered meat but was served vegan/veggie, I ate them thinking I'd find the meat and cheese eventually but realized it was incorrect. I let them know and they quickly got me what I had originally ordered without a problem. Having tried both I really enjoyed them! The meat ones were pretty spicy for me but overall both delicious. Definitely would recommend after checking out Sagrada Família as it's just a short walk! They also have free WiFi - just ask for the password! read more

Food and drinks are excellent and the service we received was efficient (We were there at about 2:30 in the afternoon and it wasn't very crowded) Kudos on the quinoa burger which my kid loved. The muesli +mango yogurt concoction was delicious as well(Sorry no idea what it was called). Definitely recommended

We ordered just inside (Pointing to the window sammys) and said we wanted to sit, and the sandwiches they brought out were different from the ones in the window. We also got a jamon and breadstick plate and that was a rough one, way to dry and tough, kinda like jerky. Unfortunately, our sandwich was fine, but definitely less flavorful than several other jamon spots we had tried in the days before. Oh well, they can't all be gems. On the plus side, the bathroom was totally fine, and they even allowed the occasional desperate passerby to use it, which I consider a real public service. As a gal with a peanut bladder, I can personally confirm they are kind people.

At the end of our meal, the staff were so hospitable (not sure if it's just a Spain thing because it occurred elsewhere as well), but they offered some complimentary shots for our table. Absolutely loved this place. Sat at the bar for a couple of Paulanders and ordered to go burgers and fries for my crew at the hotel. I could have stayed all night. The bartender was beyond friendly, let me know about great local spots and including our next spot in Madrid. Very cool dive spot and the burgers and fries are spot on!! Loved every bite. Me and my friends looked for a place close by and found this with pretty good reviews. We all ordered a ceaser salad. It was the most dry factory chicken I've tasted in my life, no dressing or seasong what so ever in the salad. Had to ask for oil, lemon juice and salt and add it myself, also a waiter that looked more tired and irritated than indulged. read more
