Food - 5 Service - 5 Value - 5 Great spot that is also open early for people who are used to eating dinner earlier than 8 PM. We enjoyed all the dishes we got -- chicken croquettes, veal, octopus, eggs chirizo and potato and then iberico ham and tomato bread. All were quite tasty and just the right size for sharing between my wife and I. The ham was the best we have had so far and wasnt salty at all compared to the other places we have had it. Our favorite dish of the night was the octopus though -- so tender and paired nicely with the potatoes and sauce it came with (even though you wouldnt think so by just reading the menu description). We also ordered some sangria and a mojito and both were refreshing after a long day of walking.

I set out one evening to dine a highly recommended Barcelona restaurant recently, and the service in that place (which shall remain nameless) was so horrendous that we cut our meal short and used Yelp to find a different restaurant. It led us to Mondoré, which turned out to be a complete and total gem. We loved every aspect of our dining experience here. The food was delicious and completely unique, the ambiance relaxed and welcoming, and the service was impeccable. Tip: The first thing that struck me after we were seated was the fact that Mondoré has an extensive selection of craft and Belgian beers; it's good when you don't have to go thirsty ;-) After a decent interval (not too long, but long enough for us to get settled and enjoy our drinks) our food was served family style so we could share. Everything was beautifully plated and presented, and all the dishes were slow cooked and perfect seasoned. That last goes triple for the ribs we ordered, which were fall-off-the-bone tender. The other dishes we ordered were the Patatas Bravas, the Veal Cheek, and the hake with fresh vegetables and squid ink rice. My personal favorite dish of the evening was the Veal Cheek. All the ingredients used here are obviously fresh, and our server was wonderfully attentive without being too obtrusive. Bottom line: Mondoré is perfect for a casual lunch or dinner, and it looks to be an excellent place to go with a group as well. I look forward to returning.

Highly recommended restaurant in Barcelona! Everything is tapas style here and it was a great way to try multiple different dishes. The staff was super friendly (one even tried really hard to find us a cab afterwards) and were speedy with the food, more napkins, and plates. The menu was easy to read and you simply checked off everything you wanted! Check in on Yelp and you get a free little beer as well!! Some of the tapas we tried were the tuna tar tar with an avocado nut sauce, cheese plate, sausage, a white fish, and a creamy dessert. One dish was better than the next. So so good! Can't forget about the great wine and beer also. Certainly left extremely satisfied after this meal!

    1906 Spanish beer on tap

Really loved this little place! The tapas were great and the cocktail/wine/beer selection was extensive. We came early--right when they opened on a Thursday--because we were staving on arrival in Barcelona. Probably wasn't the normal lively atmosphere they get in the evenings, but the music was great and it made for a mellow afternoon lunch. I had a 1906, which is a Spanish beer they have on draft. It was yummy and light, but stronger than a normal lager--probably a lighter amber (ask for a taste). We also had the Bravas=spicy potatoes (potato wedges with spicy sauce and aioli), Tuna Tataki, South Style Calamari=American type fried calamari, and a Mykonos Pizza (toasted thin loaf with onions, tomato, feta and olives). I liked the potatoes and calamari the best, but they were all pretty great. Overall, we just really enjoyed the vibe and good food. The waitress was also helpful and friendly, even making suggestions for the nightlife in the area.

As a world traveler, this is exactly the kind of place I always look for when I visit a new place with great culinary culture. This is a low key neighborhood tapas place located off from touristic areas of Barcelona. I sample more than 7 dishes, and all of them are world class! The pig ear dish for example really demonstrates the creativity and worldliness of the chef. Think about it, it really does not take much to cook a Boston lobster well, but to make pig ear this well, this shows finesse and sophistication. Go there, and you will not be disappointed... our meal consisted 7 tapas and 2 large beers, and costed less than 60 euros. If similar quality of food were served in a tapas place in New York City, it will cost at least twice as much.

Definitely a great meal! We ordered a bunch of tapas and everything was delicious. They have great beers, indoor, outdoor, with and without tv areas to dine. Definitely a good decision!

We had about 50 hours in Barcelona and ended up eating here twice. Staff speaks perfect english. The food is diverse, something for everyone. It's also delicious! The drinks are truly crafted and fantastic. Lots of selection for drinks as well, largest beer menu we saw in all of Spain. Try the papas, Iberian Ham, croquettes and Puerto de Indias gin with hibiscus tonic!

Great place to grab lunch after touring the Montjuic area. Food was 4 stars but service was 5 stars. We enjoyed the meal a lot. They have tapas and also set meal that comes with a first plate, second plate, bread and a drink. We liked the beer that was made for this place. My glass of red wine was just ok. I had the fish dish and enjoyed it a lot. The sausage dish my partner had was mediocre. I ordered the leek in peanut butter tapas, not sure if I liked it. It was cooked very soft, something I'm not very use to. The server and the cook were very pleasant and nice

    Pork ribs easy and delicious.

Suburban small restaurant with warm service. We had a very nice late lunch with local tapases. It is a little out of the city but worth the effort!

Stop searching. Go here. The food was fantastic. The service was incredible. Cafe on point. Croquettes were phenomenal as was the Mikonos pizza.

All these plus our 4 beer for 31€...can't beat that!

Service was exceptionally nice, but the food left a lot to be desired in a city where you can get amazing tapas most anywhere.

Fun little American beer bar style place in Barcelona…read more I've been here twice, and enjoyed both times! The beer selection is vast and great, I've enjoyed their wheat beer, as well as lagers. The wings are good too, my favs were garlic Parmesan, buffalo & buffalo mild. I love that they offer free water lol This is a great place for groups of about 4-8 anything more and you may not be able to fit on the same table. It's a fun pregame place, and I recommend it.

This is definitely a great spot for anyone into American beer hall vibes while in Barcelona - plenty of seating and TV's throughout to watch games or other things. You order up at the counter, and we just got a pitcher of beer when we went later at night, as the food service had ended. I do kind of wish we could've had the chance to still get some food, as other tables that had some from earlier looked really tasty. Nevertheless, the vibes were great and the beers hit the spot here. What more can I say?! It was bright, airy, and comfortable inside - perfect for hanging out! I think this is a great option - especially for American tourists, but also for just anyone that wants to have a spot that's chill and fun to hang out at. I definitely recommend!
