Cute patio in the back! No extra charge.

I've been in France and Spain for 20+ days. This has been my BEST and FAVORITE meal by far. I met up with a friend who wanted paella for her last meal in Spain (I know, typical tourists). She saw the reviews of this place and suggested we go...Even sans paella, she loved it, too! Friend doesn't speak much Spanish. Chef says no paella. Friend is disappointed. Chef, very kindly and charmingly, offers us to try 4 tapas (which he says is enough for two people). After a mix of picks and suggestions, we end up with these four: 1. Croquetas! potato, godly mush, etc. 2. Corn bread sandwich(?): cornbread, goat cheese, red pepper, corn bread WOW 3. Crepe: mushroom/cheese/jamón WOW AGAIN 4. Pizza: tomato, cheese, and chorizo Each of these four were DELICIOUS. My favorite were the croquetas (duh), but everything else was also so spectacularly made that I would have this meal 10x over. I would also like to note that the waiter was also the bartender, chef, and busboy...It was a ONE-MAN SHOW, which made it even that much better. By the end of our Tuesday meal, there were at least a dozen guests and he was doing great! Tipping isn't a tradition in Spain, but I loved him/the meal/the place so much that I did indeed leave a tip. Will definitely return. A big thumbs-up!

Paella! The chef let me in his kitchen to watch

Probably my favorite in Barcelona. Not far from the hostel we were staying at, it looked shabby at first. However once you step to the back it becomes completely different. The owner/chef warmly greeted us and gave us a brief background of what he and the place was about. I knew we made the right choice when I smelled fresh prawns being cooked for the paella. The menu was small but everything seemed delicious. The chef even gave me and my friend a house wine that was simply amazing. The best part was that it had to be drunk out of a spout instead of the typical glass. Im definitely coming back. Words cant really explain it but thats what pictures are for

If you like seeing what local places to eat are like instead of the normal tourist places. I highly recommend this place as a go to place. Do not come around 12 in the afternoon because it will be dead. However, the owner/Chef (family run restaurant) who has the best customer service I have ever had. Because he loves tourist to always come by inform me and my cousin to come later reason for the real "authentic atmosphere of Barcelona" So we leave to come back an hour later to find a couple families there enjoying the food. We sat outside in the back to enjoy the weather. Little did we know it's mosquito season in Barcelona (October) so in 15 mins we ended up sitting inside. Later to be ordering certain dishes for each course of the meal. (appetizer, main course, dessert, Including drink) all for almost 10 euro. I ordered the egg and rice for appetizer it was kind of a disappointment. But the main dish was what made the food worth it; it was a roasted chicken with potatoes and tomatoes and was so rich tasting it made me want to come back the next day. Unfortunately, I didn't have enough time to try dessert because I had a ticket to go to the sagrada familia at the time. But overall the chef/owner made it all worth the stay. His humorous ways to relate to tourist and his mannerisms to always keep you happy was the best part. *if you are staying at Sant Jordi close to the church. Definitely go here to enjoy a good time.

Very good value for the price, the food is not the best in the world but still good very effective. The dessert was excellent, so was the service. If you want something simple or are on a budget, this is a very good place to go.

The tortilla with goat cheese and grilled pepper served as a hamburger of some sorts is heaven!

Beautiful back patio. A must see!

Small preset menu for lunch: included an apetizer, entre and drink for under 10€. And the quality you get for 10€ is a steal. You could easily pay 10€ for the entre alone at other restaurants especially if you're in a tourist area. Staff is over the top welcoming. Cozy relaxing ambiance. Its authentic, delicious food at a price locals would pay.Food was excellent. Tapas in the evening times.

When in Europe eat some Italian food, as you are close enough that someone is doing it right. It also breaks up the Spanish tapas for a minute. I made reservations via email in advance prior to my trip. They responded quickly and seamed happy to take them, as they do book up. It was totally worth it, as the Raviolo with mushroom, truffle, Parmesan, cream, and sausage was one of the best things we ate on our entire trip. Don't miss out on it. Papas Bravas - nicely served with two dipping sauces, one a little spicy, and the other a garlic sauce. Meatballs with Mozzarella and Tomato Sauce. This was served almost as a soup, with bread to dip in the sauce, or in our case we balanced the meatballs, cheese, and sauce on it. Cacio e Pepe - nice and cheesy served with fresh pappardelle. I liked the thicker noodles to soak up the tasty sauce. I noticed the table fighting over sharing this one, which is always a good sign. Carbonara - definitely made correctly here with egg yolk, if you are fan of classic carbonara, you'll like theirs. Served with thick fresh spaghetti noodles. Raviolo with Mushroom, Truffle, Parmesan, cream, and sausage. You can put this dish right next to anything you will eat in Spain (including those having Michelin stars) and it will hold its own. It's that good. Please do not miss this dish. If I'm ever back in Barcelona, I will return for this dish and to try other things on the menu.

My first day in Barcelona and I googled great place to eat and stumbled on this absolute gem! Service was great! They speak English BTW The staff were friendly and very helpful! The food was some of the most amazing, fresh, delicious bites I've had. I ordered from the Tapas menu so I could get a taste of more flavors. The portions were much bigger than I imagined tapas being. These were my first! They created a great desire for more! It was hard deciding what to try. They had duck risotto on the daily special menu and I wanted it, but it was a full meal and I would only get to taste that. I will definitely be going back during my two week stay here in Barcelona! Hopefully I will get to try the duck risotto! Highly recommend!!

My Greek salad was very authentic and was as good as any salad I had while I lived in Greece. Very fresh vegetables, great Feta and seasoned to perfection. The shrimp scampi under the Tapas menu with garlic was equally good and oh so tasty. The smallish inside restaurant is best described as rustic and a tad warm. Instead I opted for the outside dining area, which has just a few tables but offered a very pleasant ambiance in the small side street this business is located on with low foot traffic and a very nice breeze on the warm day I dined here. The relaxed dining on the outside is definitely the way to go here especially during the summer months. From a negative standpoint, certain aspects of the service were too slow. I was seated pretty quickly upon arrival but I waited a tad bit too long to get my order in. Once ordered though, the food came pretty quickly on a positive note. However, for all intents and purposes the service stopped at that point where I had no follow up and literally had to walk inside the business to get my bill. Overall, the dining experience was still great for me slow service aside as the quality of the food and outdoor ambiance far outweighed the negatives. I would say if you are in a bit of there rush you may want to look elsewhere. However, if you are looking for a relaxing dining experience with great food than this business will be definitely fit the bill!
