Crab Ravioli; tomato bread; potatoes; pork ribs.

Be careful a lot of restaurants how many numerical attic products, green peppers don't know if they have them have 5 star ratings but not 5 star quality or service... We stayed for 10 days in Barcelona and ate at a lot of good and bad places. Betlem is by far 100% our favorite. Great service, amazing attitude and the food had the taste you're looking for. Also the pricing is very fair for the quality of food.

Roasted veggies (eggplant & red peppers) w/anchovies - delicious!

We stumbled upon Betlem after the restaurant we were directed to didn't have a table for us. So glad we did, as Betlem turned out to be one of our favorite spots during our week in Barcelona. It's a small, unassuming place, with handful of indoor and outdoor tables. We sat inside and were greeted by a smiling, friendly employee. Although it was full of locals, and we obviously were travelers, he instantly made us feel welcome and comfortable. We ordered several tapas, all of which were delicious. The Andalusian style squid (calamari) was so fresh, and the oil they cooked it in must have been sparkling clean, as the coating was a beautiful color, light and airy. My favorite tapa was the roasted veggies with anchovies, smoky and wonderful. And generous, just like the white wine pour. We strongly recommend this hidden gem.

A cute corner spot catering to both locals and tourists. This was our first meal in Barcelona, and my favorite tapas out of five casual places we tried. Pan Con Tomate - A staple dish everywhere and this place did it the best! More tomatoes and not too heavy on the olive oil. King Crab Ravioli - I don't associate ravioli with tapas, but the reviews here were right - this was amazing! The ravioli skin was so light and delicate, and that crab filling was heavenly. The coconut flavor was evocative of Thai Tom Kha Ga soup. Ham and Cheese Croquette - Deep fried and filled with a good ratio of ham and cheese. Simple and satisfying. Grilled Octopus - Served with eggplant and roasted red pepper. The octopus was quite tender, and the smoky eggplant reminded me of babaganoush. Great combo with the red peppers. Cheese Plate - Came with great onion jam dip, hazelnuts, and crostini. The assorted goat and lamb cheeses had a nice range from soft and funky to grassy and hard. Lunch was about 50 euro for two. A little pricey for a casual spot, but the tapas were higher quality and the service was friendly. I enjoyed the tapas with a glass of white wine and espresso while waiting for my hotel check-in. Not a bad way to kick off the trip and especially needed after 24 hours of traveling!

Super tiny restaurants. Filled on a Monday night at 8:30pm.

Came in here on a Monday night around 8:30pm and this place was packed!! I had to wait about 20 min. I had the octopus with eggplant and the crab raviolis. Both very good. You can taste the freshness and it comes out hot. It is a little pricey compared to the portion sizes. Would reccomend if you want to try fusion tapas.

    Menu

Overpriced and gentrified but very good wine choices. Don't be scared away by the "I'm too cool to serve non-white non-bourgeois patrons" attitude. Go for the blackboard menu choices and enjoy every bite in a cozy ambince.

11pm tapas stop: 32oz beer mugs available=yay! Tasty pork loin over mashed taters quite satisfying, King Crab Ravioli good flavor but undercooked and mushy; Tuna Frieze Salad used canned-looking/tasting tuna; Tomato Bread heavy on olive oil. Friendly staff, clean space for corner, have walked by at lunchtime and packed out the door. Perhaps our cook was tired late at night on Saturday.

Best Spanish tapas I've ever had. Every dish was so simple, yet executed so perfectly well. This is the exact kind of restaurant you hope to find in Spain for an authentic experience. Must haves - cockles - steak tartare

Highly recommended for modern tapas that thrill the palate! A friend who'd visited in the fall told me I just had to seek this small place out when she heard I'd be in the neighbourhood. Prices were on the high side but every dish was excellent. We ordered 3 tapas - a goat cheese salad (absolutely to die for black olives & orange balsamic dressing), grilled octopus on a bed of grilled red peppers & eggplant, & iberico pork w mash. Ended with an iced coffee & lemon soda.

Our first tapas in Barcelona! We went late on a Thursday night and it was sort of crowded, pretty tight seating area but cute vibes. We had wine, croquettes, salmon, ravioli, and the best gravas potatoes!

    ham croquette

Delicious tapas - highly recommend. The crab ravioli was to die for. Everything else was delicious as well. Outside area was the perfect place to relax and talk with friends. Also very friendly staff.

This place was A-OK in my book. I'd been to Barcelona before but couldn't for the life of me recall how impossible it was to get into places to eat at night -- and I mean tapas places. Not even dinner! So, while I relied pretty heavy on Yelp for direction, hubby and I had to ditch them because we couldn't get near them. While I don't mind having to call ahead for dinner reservations, when it comes to tapas, I don't want to wait around for 30+ minutes. And that brings me to Betlam... our hotel (I will be reviewing Hotel Europark shortly!) recommended Betlam to us. It was a block away from the hotel and there was no wait for a table. It was a cozy, well-lit and clean spot. We liked it immediately. The staff was super friendly and we had our fill of decent tapas and wine. It's not as flashy as the places closer to the "action" (Placa Catalunya), but we were hungry, tired and just wanted something casual and good. Betlam was the place.

I ordered croquettes, king crab ravioli, and steak tartare. The king crab ravioli was my favorite. The sauce had so much flavor! The steak tartare was also pretty good.

We loved this neighborhood Bistro with diverse, sophisticated Tapas. Barry was so personable and made some powerful Sangria. This place is bustling with locals, but even as Tourists we felt welcomed. I ordered the Steak Tartare tapas and it was fantastic. I would go out of my way to spend an evening at Betlem. The restaurant is very conveniently located by the Girona Metro stop.

We decided to visit Llamber a tapas restaurant on the outskirt of Park de la Ciutadella. The restaurant has a light and airy ambiance, the tables are decently spaced for a more private conversation. We then started with a bottle of Spanish Rosé together with some tapas to share. We had the patitas, black pearl oyster served with rock salt and mignonette and the chef's take on a Spanish bao bun. We found the pork belly flavorful and crispy and blended well with the bun, in hindsight we should have ordered one for each. For our main entree, I ordered paella with seared tuna while my partner chose Entrocôte served with shishito peppers and fries. We found all the dishes simply epicurean and the waiters took time to describe everything on the menu. It was well plated and the dishes came in a timely fashion and everything went well with the wine choice. We felt that we were looked after throughout the stages of the dinner. With great customer service and quality of food, this place is recommended whenever you are visiting the beautiful city of Barcelona.

The potatoes were well cooked with slightly piquant sauce and aioli that thankfully wasn't glooping up the whole dish like some places do. Very filling meal.
