    Bunyols de bacallà

I absolutely LOVED Llamber. We stopped by this restaurant mid-afternoon for a quick bite . . . and a few quick drinks, and were very satisfied with the food, cocktails, and service. Since we had dinner plans for later in the evening, we went with a couple of tapas and gin-based cocktails. Para comer, we had the croquetes, tartar de remolatxa, bunyols de bacallà, and everything was pretty awesome. If I had to order our dishes from the best to good, it would go the bunyols, tartar, and the croquetes. Overall, the service was pretty good. One weird part of our experience: the restaurant had outdoor seating, but we were told that all of the tables were reserved so we had to eat indoors. That was not a problem. My concern was that in the entire time that we were dining (about an hour or so), we did not see a single person use any of the tables.

Tourist pricing for sure but solid food options. Inside is classy and dark and there is outdoor street side seating with wonderful large umbrellas. The octopus dish is amazing and so tender. Cheeses were tasty and traditional tomato bread is a must!!

This is a romantic Austrian restaurant in the Born neighborhood. It offers a nice change of pace from Spanish food. The asparagus and fried prawn Parmesan fondue was excellent. The cheese sauce was rich, foamed and delightful. This was a great way to start our meal. The wild mushroom stew with squid was excellent as well. It was served with a raw egg that really helped enrich the squid ink sauce. This is a very rich dish that was quite filling. They are open for an earlier dinner as well which is a big bonus.

Great service. Clean and safe atmosphere. Knowledgeable, friendly staff. Fast service.

I sit here in my weaved chair, lonely, in a state of contemplation. Why do I do the things I do? Why do I dine the places that I dine? I solemn stand up after indulging in self-proclaimed "pristine" food establishment with a bitter taste in my mouth, but today, I did. The service was reminiscent of Sadam Hussein's advisories, and the ambiance was, simply put, atrocious. Go back to school and learn numbers, suck my balls, mid dessert.

2nd time to this restaurant it was as great as the 1st. It was even better as I was there with my beautiful daughter. The food is great, the atmosphere is perfect and the service is impeccable. Recommended it to my once boss's boss's boss's boss's boss (yes that many) as he reached out to me seeing I had been in BCN a few times. This is the only place I suggested and he too gave it raving reviews.

Last meal before leaving Barcelona for Valencia, and one of the best ones we had! Llamber is a gastronomic tavern with an eclectic menu. While they're open for breakfast as well, the lunch/dinner menu is the real star of this fine establishment. For lunch, our group of 3 ordered a total of 7 tapas to share - the beetroot carpaccio with king prawns, Black Angus carpaccio, codfish fritters with honey aioli, Maitake mushrooms drenched in an amazing mushroom sauce, potato gnocchi with truffles, the grilled squid on squid pudding, and the pork trotters with shrimp over Spanish rice. Our server actually said we ordered too much, and recommended one less dish for our group. This usually never happens, as most places are happy to take your money! We stuck to our order since this was our first meal of the day and we had been out exploring all morning. So glad we did that, as every dish was better than the last! What truly stood out for me was how well the Black Angus carpaccio went with the grainy mustard ice cream that it was paired with. The potato gnocchi melted in your mouth and the truffle sauce it came in was to die for! The pork trotters with shrimp was also delightful over the Spanish rice and lavender aioli. All truly unique and exquisite combinations! Oh, and the server was right - we rolled out of Llamber with our bellies stuffed. Worth every bite!

Tapa service, tapa food, tapa interior, tapa wine & tapa prices! (Once you visit Barcelona, you'll understand the TAPA joke!) Walking in, you're greeted with friendly smiles. The whole staff work together to make sure every single customer is satisfied. Ask for Gian Luca!!!! He's AWESOME and very thoughtful. He didn't allow us to over order food and recommend the best they have to offer. He was able to answer all questions accurately and gave us his honest opinion. I do recommend to take some time to review the complete wine list and ask questions about any wine... they'll have the answer.

On our first night in Barcelona we wandered over to Llamber on a recommendation of a friend of mine e that used to live in El Born. Wow, was she right and such a fantastic way to start our dining experiences! Llamber is a tapas place so we got 3 shared plates and 2 larger portion plates. They were Maitake mushrooms soared over boletus-edulis emulsion, Parmesan fondue with king prawns and asparagus, Venere rice with mini veggies and emulsion of avacodo and coriander, Codfish with sobrassada, and patinas bravas. All were amazing. Service was spot on and the dining room was nicely set up. Definitely would recommend (we came back for breakfast the next day)!

Best gnocchi I've ever had. Also just some of the best food I've ever had!

Visited Llamber our first night in Barcelona on a recommendation, and the food was amazing. We talked about it for the rest of our two week trip through Spain and it ended up being our favorite place from our whole trip! The gnocchi with truffles is a must, along with the cod fish fritters with maple aoli. The flavor and texture of each was fantastic. The patatas bravas were the first i had in Spain, and very different than the rest I had, but in a good way! Much more creative preparation and much better flavor. I'll definitely be recommending this place to anyone I know who is visiting Barcelona!

A very tasty late dinner. Ordered the parmesan fondue with prawns and asparagus, the pescado frito, and the grilled vegetables in a Romesco sauce. Each dish was flavorful, and the vegetables tasted fresh. With veggies this tasty, I could almost see myself as a vegetarian. Almost.

Our hotel recommended Llamber for lunch. It was one of the few places open around 3 p.m. for lunch. Llamber is located near the El Born Culture Center in Barcelona. We had the choice of eating in the bar or in the dining room and opted for the dining room. The restaurant is decorated in a rustic hipster posh decor. We were provided with the English menus and it was recommended that we order the lunch menu for 15.50 euro. They had a great selection of tapas, but we decided to go with the tapas menu because it provided the best deal. For starters, we had a carrot ginger soup. It was served with a branzino toast. The next course was a foie gras with rice. The foie gras was in the sauce. The next course was the fish and chips served in a cone. The final course was a beef ravioli. The pasta in the ravioli was very delicate. For our dessert, we were given the option of a local cottage cheese with honey or pears poached in wine. We opted for the pears poached in wine and it was a great finish to the meal. The lunch special comes with wine, beer, coffee, or water. Since we drank so much the night before, we stuck to wine. Wine on the cocktail menu was reasonably priced and there were a lot of options sold by the glass. Overall, it was a great restaurant and fun for people watching.

This place has the best grilled octopus in the world! I traveled through different parts of Spain , some praised for their local octopus, but Llamber is so impossible to beat. Also beet carpaccio was original and fantastic. Everything we ate here was memorable. This is one of the few restaurants we had to return during our short visit to Barcelona. Highly recommend it.

This was recommended by friends awhile back, I remembered the modern ambiance, amazing Tapas, friendly service and the place was as busy then until now. My son had been here last year and thought, it was a solid. We put our name in, went to a nearby park bench to wait and watch people for 50 minutes. The servers outside are grumpy as to many people are crowding the sidewalk and impeding his service. Finally, our name was called, were seated at the bar, and watched a chef make the magic dishes. The menu is huge and I can't help but watch the delicious dishes flying by us. So little time and yet so many great choices, this won't be easy. We began with the beef tenderloin montadito foie gras. It was presented as a open face sandwich on a bagette. We split it as it had a huge piece of foie gras. The tenderloin was tough and the tapas tasted like indivdual components, not a blended or refined profile. The grilled razor clams were nicely cooked, slightly gritty and needed to be washed more thoroughly. The Spanish omelet wedge was spiritual, dish of the night award. The onion made the dish! The sliced fried artichoke was finely shaved, and again lacked a enjoyable flavor that I would order again. The chips with fried eggs and Jabugo ham was different, tasty and a concept I would not of thought about. Delicious! Casveseria Catalanahe was packed and stacked for a reason. A high vibe and energy even in the face of a revolt at the check in desk from hungry dinners. I came say without hesitation, we will give them a second try. The staff was friendly, engaging, warm and a good sense of humor, nothing but smiles. I can't wait for our next trip to Cerveseria Catalana and let them tell me what to order. Good luck and see you sooner than later.

We were happy to enter the cozy La Alcoba Azul and seated by a smiling host immediately & presented with menus. The interior looks almost like a wine cellar with brick vaulted ceilings. The offerings are best described as fusion tapas but there are a few traditional bites as well. Our waiter presented us with an amuse bouché of pumpkin hummus topped with roasted pepitas on an herbed toasted baguette crisp. DELICIOUS! We confidently ordered the tomato tartare with avocado cream, basil, olive powder and rosemary olive oil caviar as well as a half order of cured Iberican meats featuring chorizo, loin, sausage and ham, an order of the hummus with black olives, parsley, pine nuts and pita triangles. All were terrific! We especially enjoyed the meats and tomato tartare. I enjoyed a red sangria that was satisfying and happened to be topped with cinnamon...a first and welcome addition for me.
