Smash Burger with fries. nom nom nom

Yesterday was my 2nd time to visit the new Chili's in Willis, Texas. Both visits have been perfect. On my first visit, which was on Labor Day, my server was Jay. The service and food were awesome. Jay is such a wonderful server. The restaurant wasn't too busy so we were able to chat and I learned he is in culinary school. I told my son about the wonderful experience and when I told him the server's name, he literally screamed, "JAY!!! We love Jay and miss him." Apparently he was a server at the Huntsville Chili's where my son and his co-workers often visit and Jay was frequently their server. Small world! So on my 2nd visit, yesterday, my server said his name is C. Just C, no other letters. Very easy to remember. He was also a wonderful server. The food was excellent both times. I had the same thing each time-Smash Burger with fries. It's sooo food. Cooked just right. I am so happy Chili's built a restaurant here. The one in Conroe is not far, but it is much bigger and usually much busier because Conroe is at least 20 times bigger than Willis. So thank you Chili's, Jay and C!

    Fun for everyone!

This restaurant never disappoints. Went for late lunch on a Friday. The host promptly sat me at a…read moretable in the middle of the room. I asked for a table a little more out of the way. He said I can do that. Walked me to a more private table and asked me if this one would work. It did. I have PTSD. It can be a little embarrassing. I loved how easy he made it for me. No questions asked...just right! IYKUK My waitress Becca was very attentive despite managing several tables, even while engaging in conversations and even hugging some of her customers. Chicken parmigiana was delicious. Lunch portion was great. I took some home. Bonus for the "Little Jesus" she left with my receipt.

It would have been better with fresh basil and more mozzarella cheese. The chicken piccata was okay. It was a little heavy on the lemon but the artichoke hearts were a plus for me because I really enjoy artichoke. My friend really liked the chicken parm. And it was his birthday so he got a brownie dessert which was rich and delicious. Over all I was going to give 3 stars but our server Makayleigh got it bumped up another star because she was absolutely great: Great service, great personality. Of course I will come back and I will have pictures. We dug in before I could take photos. I will not order the chicken piccata again though.

Anyways, food was real good, our server Kayley was awesome, very pleasant and very attentive. This place has a good mixed environment and I'm not disappointed.

I had to come leave a review for our experience at First Watch on I-45 in Conroe because WOW. From…read morethe moment we walked in, the hospitality was unmatched. I came in with my mom, nana, husband, and my service dog, and our server Makayla genuinely made this one of the best dining experiences I've had in a very long time. What shocked me most is finding out she's actually pretty new, because she handled that busy brunch rush like a seasoned professional. She was incredibly attentive, kind, patient, and so thoughtful the entire time we were there. She made sure my family's coffee cups never went empty, constantly checked on us without hovering, and somehow managed to keep everything flowing smoothly even while the restaurant was packed. One thing that really stood out to me was how caring she was toward my service dog. Not everybody pays attention to those little details, but she did immediately. I ordered the Trio Breakfast with a plain waffle specifically for him, and without me even having to repeat myself, she made sure there was absolutely no butter or syrup on it because she remembered it was for my dog. That level of attentiveness meant a lot to me. Now let's talk about the MILLION DOLLAR POTATOES. Whoever created those deserves a raise immediately. As a pregnant woman in my first trimester, eating has honestly been a struggle lately because almost nothing sounds good or stays satisfying. Those potatoes were one of the first things in a while that actually made me excited to eat. They were savory, comforting, flavorful, and honestly addictive. I was so invested in those potatoes that I can barely even remember what the rest of my family ordered . I asked Makayla what was in them because I was genuinely blown away, and she took the time to explain everything to me so sweetly. She also made sure our food came out hot and quickly, and you could tell she truly cared about people having a good experience, not just "doing her job." I even asked to speak with her manager because excellent service deserves recognition. Aaron, the manager, was just as wonderful. You could tell he genuinely took pride in hearing positive feedback about Makayla, especially as a new hire. He thanked us for coming in, was extremely kind and informative, and honestly helped create such a welcoming atmosphere overall. I told my family I wish I could throw Makayla, Aaron, and the million dollar potatoes into my suitcase and bring them all back home to California with me . Unfortunately, there are no First Watch locations in California, which honestly feels criminal at this point. To Makayla and Aaron: thank you for making a pregnant woman, her family, and her service dog feel genuinely cared for. In a busy brunch restaurant, that level of hospitality is rare, and it absolutely did not go unnoticed. We will remember this experience for a very long time.
