I thought they might have improved their food since the last time I was here ( 5 years ago). Nope. I ordered fajitas to go, and here is how it went. The steak was over-cooked, beyond well done, impossible to eat, and had zero flavor except for a few flakes of black pepper. The chicken was bland. The vegetables which, with fajitas are supposed to be just short of charred, were not even cooked ( ie thick chunks of raw onion and bell peppers). The beans very obviously came directly from a can, and mixed with pico de gallo and a lot of water (ice cold). They gave shredded cheese, guacamole and sour cream on the side, about 1 Tbsp. of each. Tortillas were dry and cold. The cooks here, if you can even call them that should very seriously reconsider their profession and their superiors should have by now reconsidered these persons' employment status at chilis. You can't be serving that kind of garbage to people and expect to get away with it. 10 days after my original review I'd like to add: get a pan really hot, salt and pepper the steak(preferably marinated) and add to the pan, flip after 3 or 4 minutes, remove 3 minutes later, and rest it for 5 minutes. While you were searing the steak, just chop up some vegetables and put under broiler. Cut the steak against the grain. That is the very basic way to do it. I'm not a chef, I didn't look that up online, because it's that simple. Hope that helps out your chefs. read more

We thought the service would be good considering it was not crowed. The waitress was not friendly at all cut dry no people skills. She never got us refills we couldn't pay at our table she took way to long to get our check. The only person who friendly was the one cleaning up the tables and he doesn't get tips. I hope someone tells there waitresses to be more friendly or move on to another job. We all have bad days but don't blame anyone. read more

I hadn't been to Chilis in awhile (home cooking) I was disappointed with flavor of the food and served with cheap ugly trays. We had to ask for napkins and utensils with no napkins. I had Corn on the Cobb (frozen ugh) blah. Our service was great more than I can say for the poor quality of the food. I don't think I will return. read more

Went out to dinner for my eleven year old daughter's birthday (her choice). Food was okay not as good as it used to be. Ordered steak it was way over cooked. My daughter's food was just gross. Asked for a new item on the menu the server got mad. Never came back to our table. Sent a new server and he was not much better. Asked to have them sing to my daughter for her birthday, we even ordered a few desserts. They he just brought out the desserts with no singing. While I frequently experience horrible service at this restaurant (Mostly along the lines of how long I wait to receive my food, or get any help at all) the experience I had last week was by far the worst. Not only was our waiter completely incompetent and rude to his co-workers, but a piece of RAW chicken was sitting at the bottom of my bowl of chips. Absolutely disgusting. How does that even happen? I should have probably eaten the chicken and hoped to contract salmonella so I could sue this god-awful excuse for a Chili's. This Chili's always tends to be crouded but the staff is really fast in taking care of seating customers as well for customer waiting. There is a reason why they get busy, good food and service, at least I've never experienced an unpleasant moment here. Their Chicken Margarita plate is one of my alltime favorites. Also the Mixed Fajitas are really good (one order is good for two people).... Cadillac Margaritas are delicious! I enjoy coming back here over and over.. read more

If the food hadnt been somewhat decent I would have rated one star. Ive been to this location numerous times but today was absolutely terrible, i understand its new years eve but if you dont wanna work you should have asked for it off. The waiters didnt have a care in the world when it came to waiting on the tables, from the time we sat to the time drinks were ordered, 10 minutes, from time food was ordered to the time it arrived, 55 minutes. Several times we asked three different waiters the status of order and not one single waiter ever came back to inform us. I hate Chili's. I really wanted a beer and a burger and was forced to ear here last night because Red Robin closes early. Anyway, we ordered the 2 for $20 deal. I ordered the steak and my daughter had the chicken tenders with fries. The server seemed annoyed that we couldn't make up our minds and had questions about the sides. I get it, your busy and have multiple tables, but hey, I have questions! I decided on the "steak" with broccoli and sweet potato fries, my daughter had the chicken fingers with fries. The food took forever and when it finally got to our table, it was COLD. The plate was hot and the food was cold. How does that work?! We sent it back. We went to Chili's in the Quad and sat in the bar area. People just left the table that we sat at so their plates were still there. A waiter in the area said we're cleaning tables in order as they were vacated. We sat there for 15 mins with dirty dishes, no one even looked like they were attempting to come our way. Further, no one even asked what we wanted to drink. I asked to speak with the manager prior to leaving. I explained the entire situation to him. He just said "I'm sorry" as he watched us walk out the door. Sorry service but more so a sorry manager. read more

Last night was one of the worst dining experiences I've ever had. Came in late last night with a group of people and let me make it clear that it WAS NOT BUSY. Started out by the bartender not knowing how to make basic drinks. I'm a bartender...it's not rocket science to make a cosmo with tequila instead of vodka as someone requested. My boyfriend and I came here about 3 weeks ago on a Thursday night. Looking to get dinner at the bar, a casual night out....should have stayed home and ate crackers instead! There were two guys and a girl at the bar and the two guys were drunk and started drama at the bar. You could tell something was going to go down because they started getting loud and the girl was just sitting there pretending that she gave a damn's worth to tell her guy friend to stop....Guy #1 heads to the men's room and Guy #2 followed him. The bartender ran to tell management staff that something was about to go down in the bathroom and then various staff followed into the bathroom. Once all the drama was cleared out of the bathroom, Guy #1 and #2 headed back to the bar and went at it again. The bartender chick continued to serve Guy #2 (the obvious drunk antagonist) more alcohol and did nothing to bring the chaos at the bar to the management's attention. I could go on and on, but it's completely ridiculous. In the end, the drunk guy was finally kicked out but re-entered the bar after having gone outside!!!! What in the world?!!! For goodness sake, he could have come back in with a weapon or something. This place was ghetto and more ghetto. Not impressed how staff handled the situation. Too bad that we had to experience this because we just moved to the neighborhood and Chilis is a hop and a skip away....could have been a great regular dinner spot. read more

I've been here two times. First time it was an order by phone To Go. Took them almost an hour to give me my food after the time they said it would be ready by. It was a busy night and maybe one of the cooks called out, I don't know. Second time I went I sat in the bar area. Ordered some drinks an appetizer and an entrée. Got the drinks and appetizer pretty quick but the entrée took an hour to get to me. For the first 30 minutes the server just kept saying "Sorry it's taking so long" every five minutes. So, Chili's is never my first choice when going out to eat; however, I decided to give it a try tonight because I live near by. The wait was 15 mins, not too bad. Once we were seated the waitress took a little long to come and ask for our drink order. Once she did she was really sweet and polite but not very attentive throughout the night. Then, the cherry on top, I found a HAIR in my drink. Absolutely gross. I should expect this from Chili's though. It's a basic restaurant with basic food and service. The only reason I gave this two instead of one, is because the street corn was really good. I would definitely go again just for that. But other than that, I would never go again. read more

I love chili's and their food but this particular location is horrible!!!! I work in the area so given that lunch breaks are so short I ordered the food and was told 15 mins. To be safe I went after 20 mins. My food was sitting there getting cold without them caring to add the extra stuff I had ask for plus was charged for. When I get there, it wasn't busy but they didn't bother to finish my order till I was there. On top of it I was okay with them charging me extra for everything except the plastic fork but when I paid for extra Sauce on my hot enchiladas, can some one explain to me how cold sauce from the refrigerator is suppose to be added to my warm meal? How hard is it to warm up what you have charged me for. ( I paid 3.00 extra for a little little cup of sour cream and red sauce!!) Doubt I'll ever go back here read more

Been to Chili's many times and the food is decent, only bad experience I'd ever had was when the Pico Rivera restaurant opened and the corn on the cob on our plate was ice cold, really it was as if they took it out of the freezer and put the round stick in it. So decided to give the Whittier location a try, I guess it should be called Chilly and not Chili's because again cold food. OK so not ice cold like at the Pico Rivera location but still how hard can it be to get it right? So my wife sends her cold plate back and the waitress said she would get a "New" one but of course what came back was just the same plate microwaved. Then she takes a bite of the chicken, now chicken isn't supposed to have that snappy rubbery feel when you bite it right? Needless to say this is the last time we eat here. read more

SERVICE is TERRIBLE! I took my mother here for lunch at about 230-3pm. When we walked inside there was no one to seat us. There was another couple who came in after us that left to olive garden next door, because we had been waiting for a few minutes. After telling my mother we should leave, a manager appeared from the kitchen and seated us. There were maybe 4 other parties in the place, we were all seated in the same area, all close to each other. A waitress comes over and tells us its her and her "partner" in this area and offers to take our order but we needed a few minutes. We order the 2 for 20$. and after 15min, someone brings us our entree, no appetizer. Then she comes by telling us that our appetizer will be out in another 10 min. um, No. appetizer is before the entree, i didnt want it anymore. she proceeds to tell me "Well someone thought you got your appetizer so they didnt bring it out, but since you didnt they have to remake yours." So? Shouldnt someone have asked? There was no apology. We ask if we can get a dessert instead, and she replied so snobbishly "We dont usually do that, ill ask the manager." We left a tiny tip. We always try to give a restaurant the benefit of the doubt, but honestly this will be our last time visiting. 1st we got sat down @ a table that had food on the chairs and floor. 2nd our fajita trio had limited meat & no peppers. When we asked if the item changed & no longer came with peppers, our waiter just nodded no & said they still do. Didn't even offer to get some for our plate. The burger we ordered with no toppings & they failed to complete our order. When we asked for more drinks the waiter seemed to be bothered by us.
