Every time I go here it gets worse and worse. I ordered their 6 oz steak to go. When I went in to pick it up, I had to go to the bar to get it. The Bartender was anything but pleasant. It took forever for her to pick up the gift card I had to pay and then she seemed perturbed when I gave her $20 to cover the rest of the bill. Ok, I understand there was only $1.68 left, but it was all I had. Then she kind of just drops my bag on the counter and walks away. Doesn't tell me if everything is there doesn't check to make sure everything is there just doesn't do jack. So I look inside to make sure everything is there. There were a half a pound of napkins (I swear, it looked like they just emptied a napkin holder in the bag) but no utensils. When I asked her about the utensils she didn't respond. She just ignored me. So I left. I could understand if it was really busy in the bar and she was hustling drinks and trying to take care of the To Go orders, but it was not that busy. Now about the food.... ugh. I used to get the 6 oz sirloin and it was a prime cut of meat with not a lot of fat. This piece they gave me looked like a meatball and was so hard to cut I gave up after a couple of bites. There was so much fat and muscle it was gross. I couldn't eat it and it cost me $14. Never again. This place is two blocks from my house but I will NEVER buy food here again. I should have gone to In-n-Out. It would have been cheaper and I would have gotten a better quality of meat. :) Take my advice. Don't eat here. It is the worst Chili's. I used to go to the one in Puente Hills and it was always better than this one. I haven't been there in a while, but if you're going to take a chance on Chili's go there. I always come here for happy hour. The bartenders are attentive and really care about the customers. I would recommend for beer and drinks.

I tried to give this place a chance thinking it would be different every time I go there but its not last time I called and complained because of a bad waitress and they gave me a free meal that's the only reason I went back.Its still bad I will say the server last night was pretty good but the food was terrible vegetables were hot the meat was cold we don't have Arbys or Boston Market anymore in Whittier I don't think we need Chili's here either next time I go to chilis I'll either go to Pico Rivera or La Habra because this one is the worst place ever I don't like to write reviews but this one is worthy of my time I can see why they have such a low rating on Yelp I'm never going back to this restaurant again oh and by the way I just remembered their servers name was Christopher very good 5 star rating for that guy he should go work for Dennys read more

Horrible customer service! They need a new manager. I ordered the chicken tacos and it has a long black hair on it! Not the color of my hair! After 10 minutes of trying to wave someone over, I had to called the store from my cell phone! Finally, I talked to the manager. Instead of re- making the simple chicken tacos they lied and put it in a To Go Box. They "apparently" re- made the meal. How on earth can they remake it in 5 minutes when it took 40 minutes to make it the first time???! I will never go back there again! My son and I can tell when we aren't being treated right. From the moment we walked in the door the service was bad... today Mother's day went to have lunch, there was not one person in the front to greet us me and my son and my daughter had to stand there a good 5 min before we were acknowledged and that was maybe because a few more people were now waiting, there was a booth in the bar area that was available and the greeter said we could sit there it was dirty not even cleaned up yet really?? I love this place because their soup and salad. They have the best enchilada soup I have ever had. They have great appetizers and great service. They are really busy after 3pm. Saturday 6pm terrible. no host and no one acknowledging customers as they walk in. lucky I sat at the bar knowing it's usually self seating. We Ordered a chicken salad and a sampler and it took 45 mins. as we were waiting for our food more and more people waiting for the restaurant kept walking in and just waiting with no one making an effort to talk to the coming groups. people started getting upset and some left, others complained. finally a host showed up and the wait was now long because they swamped themselves by holding people at the door. Ordered Unlimited Enchiladas. Took extra long time to get my first round. Ordered an additional two enchiladas which took over twenty minutes. Server boxed my enchiladas for me. It's so disappointing when BAD SERVICE trumps and makes the entire dinning experience awful. After today I've learned some things NEVER change. I've been to this location only a handful of times since it opened here in Whittier 5 years ago. And mainly it's always been because of the bad service. I just don't understand why ALWAYS the bad service here!! Today it was me and a party of 5 others ( 2 adults, 3 teenagers, 1 child) and we arrived around 2:45pm ( on a Monday) The restaurant was pretty empty with only about 4 parties sitting on the restaurant area and us and 3 other parities sitting in the bar area. So like I said it was pretty much empty. We were seated for about 5 minutes before our server came and took our drink order. After our drinks got severed she then took our order. Orders were very simple...with one being a kids menu order. And with me (the one writing this review) ordering bottomless soup & salad. We also ordered the bottomless chips & salsa. So far all was going well, drinks and food ordered was taken and drinks & chips & salsa were served quickly. But once it was time for the refills on drinks and chips & salsa our server was no where to be found. Had to finally go to the bar to ask if we could get refills. Once we received our refills our server finally showed up asking if we needed anything. We asked for more chips please and if I could get my salad that I ordered. About 7 minutes later...... our chips show up along with our food order. _________________________________________________________________ NOTE: Now for those who pick up their kids after school...know the number one thing they say once they enter the car.... WE ARE HUNGRY!!!! So going to Chili's and ordering something that is quick and get right away would be the chips & salsa to hold them over til the main course arrives.....at least you would think right?? But not in this case :( __________________________________________________________________ Once our food was served again we were asked..... "is their anything else I can get for you?" We replied yes and requested what we wanted. Like extra sour cream for the fajitas along with the corn tortillas she forgot to bring, also had to make note that she forgot the rice that came with the kids meal.And the salad she brought me was the new fresco salad (spring mix...yuck) Just wanted the regular house salad. Also we would like a refill on the drinks and more chips & salsa She apologizes for the salad and she said would bring me the right one along with the other items she forgot and the chips & salsa WELL...........................................almost 8 minutes had past...still none of the request have been filled. We had 3 happy campers eating and 3 pissed off campers who were still waiting. Just don't see how the most simplest things requested would take so long to get?? The restaurant was just about empty and they certainly were NOT understaffed. At that point and time I was remind WHY we had a problem coming to this Chili's location. The SERVICE IS JUST BAD, AWFUL, TERRIBLE!!!!!! By the time our server brought out want we had been waiting for. The hunger I had entering this place had turned into anger and our server did know that I was beyond fusrated. But all she could say was.........SORRY! THEN..................when one of our happy campers who got to eat asked for a " TO GO" container. Our server had the nerve to give us a container that looked liked it had been used. WTF!!!!!! She tried to walk away quickly when I brought it to her attention, leaving me to wave the container in the air and say...REALLY!!!!!!!! When I asked for the bill...our server returned will bill in hand and said I packed a salad & soup to go for you. REALLY!!!!!! I'm sure she meant well. But if I wanted my order to go. I would have placed an to-go order!! So to those reading this review......if you enjoy good food with AWFUL SERVICE then this is the place for you!!! read more

Embarrassingly they know us because we visit them once a week for lunch. There is a young waitress there that has this super good memory and remembers our order from the last time we had her. Came here again as I live down the street from here but once again we get horrible service. The guy that brought my kids their drinks didn't give them straws, he then came back and brought us something else in which I asked him for some straws he acknowledged me and did not bother bringing them I had to ask another waiter for them again, then they bring out my daughters food first as we are sitting there waiting for our food for a good 15-20 minutes go by before they bring the rest of the food? I hate leaving reviews anywhere. I work at a restaurant and understand how frustrating it can be working at one. But today was just irritating. Once we walked in it seemed like a usual Wednesday, slower. But I actually had to find a server and try to catch her attention so we can be seated. After looking at one of them straight in the eyes, they finally realized we needed to be seated. So once we were finally seated the girl didn't even offer water. She basically saw the first open table and put down the menus and dipped. We tired getting passed that and looked at the menu for a good while. Sarai didn't listen when I specifically said to use my Visa gift card first and then the remaining bill with cash.... then the manager and her kept swiping my card about 6 times and kept charging me in $5 and $2 increments- it was a mess! Then I told them to void the card and all the transactions and pay with a $100 and they still couldn't get their crap together!! They kept saying they made mistakes and I owed more and more money! I use to be a Chilis fan in my younger days but not anymore. My two experiences at this location have not been good. On the first occasion when our food arrived after a pretty long wait my wife started eating her salad when she saw a huge long hair on her salad. Disgusting! We told the waiter who apologized and brought her out another salad. He did comp dessert but not her salad. Really? Our second visit was just for dessert because I just love their molten chocolate cake. We sat in the bar area. Our waiter asked us to wait a few seconds which turned into minutes. Then we finally got our molten chocolate cake!!! When we first starting eating I knew something was not right. The cake tasted stale and refrigerated. In fact we did not even finish it. I have never not finished one of their molten chocolate cakes but this Chilis actually was able to pull that off. Congratulations Chilis!!! The main part of our dining experience was the margaritas because they were delicious. We tried this "Rita Trio" type thing that they had. Each time I came here, the service was good, their mixed drinks (both alcoholic and non-alcoholic) were good, and their food was good. I can't complain but not amazing to give this place five-stars. The restaurants appearance was well kept, tables were cleaned well. No food on the floor, the restrooms are extremely clean. They have this new little gadget like tablet on the table where you can pay your bill at your own table. It's fast and very simple to use. Every time I come into this particular Chilli's it's a bad experience! The restaurant is always messy, service is slow & rude and the food tends to be constantly delayed.
