I'm seeing reviews about the workers being rude, strict, etc..... I've only heard of or seen very rowdy, unruly patrons get booted. It's not a rowdy place... so don't go in acting a fool. Be friendly and respectful- don't scream or bang on the bar (as I've seen people do). I love coming here. If we could give them a zero, we definitely would! Racist place, say other wise, but I've been around this type of atmosphere a few times in my life. Female bartender told us it was the last round she was serving us (group of 7) because we all went outside to smoke. What a joke! We immediately asked for a refund and took our money elsewhere. Last night she decided to stay a little later and serve my two male friends, when I asked her if I could get my drink too she started slamming things around. I asked if she was ok and she just completely flipped out on me. I definitely don't need to be screamed at or to feel like I'm begging for drinks , I'm a paying customer. She threw my $15 tip back at me. Also God forbid you play your own music and have a good time, she'll get irritated. She has a bad attitude, is a hostile person and will definitely make you feel uncomfortable - also God forbid you leave your glass off of the coaster. Spend your money elsewhere. It's a community bar that's attended by locals. I'm one of them and it's a great place to have a drink where you are not surrounded by hipsters or annoying people. It's just a cool spot to have regular price drinks without the young annoying crowd. If you want to pretend that you are kool go to silver lake (I work in that area) and pay $18.00 for a beer. read more

If you are looking to just relax and have a drink, then this dive bar is a great place to go. They have a fully stocked bar, give or take a few bottles. They do not have beers on tap just bottles. There are no pool tables, but they do have a few dart boards. They have a jukeboxe, they have a little bar game at one end, the one with a bunch of random games on it, and they also have keno you can play. They also have 2 tvs set up at each ends of the bar and a big screen in the open seating area. The bartenders are really cool and laid back, lonnie is the man there, comes up with some cool stuff too, I recommend you try his cheesecake shot, super good. There are alot of regulars at this bar and the age range varies from young to the older crowd and eveything in between. It is not a big place, but it is big enough. I like coming here because it has kind of a homey feel, and no one really gets too crazy. The prices are super fair and competitive or even better than alot of other places. A tip I would give is, this place is just great to go out and have a few drinks and listen to random music from the jukebox. If you are looking for more, then this place my not be for you, but I would recommend it :). read more

PART OF THE DIRTBAG RUN REVIEW SERIES: Nestled in a small secluded strip mall behind CVS Pharmacy, and behind a Golden Ox Restaurant is a little dirty gem of a bar called Milo's Place. Now as far as dive bars go, this place has no frills about it, its a jukebox, some arcade games (including a bowling game), some tv's, some stools along the full bar, and some tables littered around. The restrooms are actually a decent size and seemed clean enough. Drinks are cheap and a round for your friends won't put you off drinking. This is a local hangout, and that being said, don't expect the jetset crowd in here, unless you in a circle of friends that happen to venture in and take over half of the floor space. Oh yeah, it's kinda small, so how it could fit 50 people is beyond me. I've only ever experienced about 15-20 people in there and that was on a good night (Friday). The bartender lady is no nonsense and will not hesitate to call on help if you get out of hand, and you WILL get kicked out. The thing is though I have seen some VERY drunk people leave here at last call, and at around 1pm Saturdays while I go do laundry next door, oh yes I did get a drink while my clothes were in the wash. This is one of those spots that you may want to poke your head into if you are headed up to Slam Dunks or JT's up north, or going south to Pizzamania for a bite. All in all a decent enough dive on any given night. read more

This bar always has a young crowd which is great because from the outside you wouldn't think so. It's like a high school reunion here which is why I don't come often. The staff is nice and the place has a good amount of tables and chairs for seating. It's always packed here in but the crowd has been friendly. There has never been any fights or rowdy people which is nice in a bar to not have that. You can also picks your music to play inside too. For what its worth we can't complain much it is what it is.... a DIVE bar. Located at a dead end mini mall type street next to a Laundromat and a liquor store lol. Its dark, has a jukebox, old arcade, attracts a more mature crowd of locals and most importantly its clean. Its almost walking distance from my place so we had to check it out and have gone back a couple of times. Drinks are dirt cheap which is a great thing and if you show up with good company this will do the job. Only complain is the woman bartender who may be the owner was more on the rude side last time we were there. I hope she was just having a bad night. read more

Well what kind I say. First and foremost this is a dive bar. Dont come here looking for a trendy hot spot. I have been here about four times all on different days of the week. I have seen people from all different walks of life in here. Old, young, hip, trendy, gangsta. Its funny to meet and talk to so many different types of people in one place. The overall place has the feeling as if you were in someones living room. Ohhhhh Miloooo'sssss! :3 The only bar I've been to in that side of Whittier. It use to be the place my friends and I would occasionally either start or end our night here because it's just a few blocks down from their street. Haven't been there in a long time, but about a month ago we decided to meet there to actually have a drink or two midday. And I can honestly say, it was nice. The locals in there are either really old or elderly and after they give you a few winks, they pretend not to care that we're there. All in all the drinks are dirt cheap, air conditioning works and the bathroom is clean so there's really nothing to complain about. What else can you really ask for from a hole in the wall bar? Aah yes, Milo's. I had the extreme pleasure of visting Milo's on a Wednesday evening around 11PM. It was to say the least, extra not ordinary. I don't believe I have ever drank in a bar that looked so much like a Perkins inside, but then again never judge a book by its cover..judge it by the overload of rules written on the wall! Yes I'm sure, Milo's gets that out of control that they need at least 3 signs describing how the bartender is always right, but by that time I'm sure the disruptive 60 year olds have broken their glasses in a brawl and have no intention on obeying the warning signs. All in all, I could dig it for a day drinking adventure. read more
