Why do I keep going back for punishment? Ordered takeout...bar is full....takeout area is empty with no mechanism to notify the restaurant you are there. They want you to go to the bar to pick up the takeout. Ok....but the bar is full! So, I stand there and these two guys sitting there ask me if they could help me. I was crowding them (not really but making them uncomfortable) I get that. So, finally the bartender comes over and gets my name and I reach my arm out in between the two men at the bar to give her my card....I felt so bad for these guys. When the manager came out with the food to the takeout area, I told her that I thought it was awkward and she could not care at all Food is ok but not worth all the aggravation of takeout and the order is never right.......too bad....the waitresses there are all very hard workers and nice and the food, when correct, is good. read more

My boyfriend and I received some gift cards so I suggested we try it, we arrived at about 620 and the host told us it would be around 10-15 minute wait, we told him we'd wait at bar and he took our name. After about 20 minutes my boy friend went and asked host if he realized we were at bar waiting to be seated. The host said yes he did. After about another hour plus we ordered at bar, when we got home, the burgers were unedible, soggy bacon, burger was dry and tasteless, soggy buns and onions when we asked to hold them, all in all an awful experience, even though the manager came over to us and apologized, giving us 20 more dollars in gift cards, thank u but no, that was the first and last time I will go there. read more

We came here on our last night in Hampton Beach. We would've made the trek to Portsmouth for something better, but we didn't want to drive too far. I'll preface this review by saying I really wish we would've made the extra effort to go to Portsmouth! We walked in and were told we could seat ourselves in the bar area, and luckily there was a booth available. About 5-10 minutes went by before someone came by to take our drink orders. Once taken, it was another little while before she came back to take our food orders. We started with the spinach and artichoke dip, and I had the spicy grilled shrimp tacos and Danny had the southern smokehouse bacon burger. Again it took awhile to get our appetizer, but our meal came probably 5 minutes after, so it was annoying to have to quickly scoff down the spinach dip and move onto the main meal. The spinach dip was pretty good, but that's where it stopped. The shrimp tasted frozen (which is odd since the ocean is so close!!), and the whole thing lacked flavour. The "spicy" part was a sauce on the side, however it was so spicy it burned your tastebuds, making it impossible to enjoy anything else! I guess they were banking on that to have less-disappointed customers, but I digress. Danny concluded that his meal was average as well; nothing exciting or worth coming back for. I agree with everyone's comments with respect to their "speed", or lack thereof. It doesn't seem to be a priority to tend to the customers. It took our waitress a good 15-20 minutes to come back around once we were done our meals to give us the bill. I would not recommend coming to this place. We go out for dinner frequently. We often try new restaurants but find ourselves returning to Chilis most often! The servers are excellent-remember us, professional yet funny. The food is always, I have NEVER had a bad meal. If you want to get out of the cold- Chilis in seabrook is the place to go. About once every other month or so my husband and I need to take a trip up to Portsmouth and on the way back we usually stop to have dinner. Quite honestly I had gotten a bit tired of BK and Wendy's on these trips and I had a real craving for Mexican so with much debate we stopped at Chili's. The manager held the door open for us which I thought was quite pleasant and we were seated promptly. We were served our drinks and our orders were placed; this is when I began to get concerned: Where was the "Salsa & Chips"? When I was finally able to catch our server, I asked and was told that they are no longer free, and they are not automatically brought to the table any longer, that was strike one. I ordered the Chicken Enchilada's and my husband ordered Fajita's; we waited for what seemed to be a half an hour and we were starving! ( Those chips would have kept us from watching the clock!) When we were served I looked down at my plate and was totally applauded! What sat in front of me was the most sloppiest plating I had ever been served in my life. Not only as a Culinary student but as a consumer I found my plate very disturbing to say the least; there was juice from the beans and splattered cheese all over the edge of the plate, it was never wiped clean before it left the kitchen...OMG! How could you! I reluctantly began eating my dinner, it was good but I did find the edges of my enchilada's quite over crunchy due to being in the salamander to long. I ate as much as I could but the sloppy plate was just too much for me to handle to my husbands horror I had the manager sit down beside me and showed it to her, her explanation was: They use two plates to place it into the Salamander to melt the cheese and the food can spill and they can not wipe it off once it goes in because it bakes on. Really? I looked at her in disbelief and said: If it was there before it went into the Salamander, it should have been wiped down before it went into the Salamander, this should have never left the kitchen like this. Well, she got a little huffy and walked into the kitchen...I let it go until I got a refill on my drink in the same glass, with my old lemon still in it and the same straw...Ok. that was it; we finished our meal, paid our server and left. never again! Sorry, a restaurant should take pride in the food that leaves their kitchen no matter if it is at Joe's slop House or a 5 star restaurant, consumers eat with their eyes. take pride in what you do! read more

Molasses is quicker today- And that's usually the pace at this Chili's. I don't mind so much though because their food is consistent and fairly priced. I also would rather come to this one over the one in Salem NH- it is cleaner and just better overall. Last time I went though they turned myself and several other customers away because their computer system is down. You would think that restaurants would go to an old-skool protocol or something- but nope. So Typically I would give 4 stars, but I'm gonna say 3 for now hoping they'll develop a plan for things that may happen in the future in regards to their computer systems. read more

Used to be our go to if we were in the area. Went on Friday night and it was awful. Sat at the bar, bartenders were inattentive and could have cared less about us. Margarita from the draft tasted like plastic, salad was mushy and inedible. Our entrees came out 2 minutes after our appetizer. Neither of the bartenders asked us how our food was, I would have sent it back. I recently visited this Chilis and was less than happy with my dinner. The experience started off well, server came over quickly, took our drink order and brought us the queso dip we requested. The dip was tasty but on the cool temperature side. I ordered the fajitas with chicken and what a major disappointment from what they used to be. The chicken is bland with no flavor. There are not enough condiments to make up the three fajitas they give you shells for. The amount chicken they gave me wasn't really enough either. I use to enjoy your their fajitas but I warn people don't waste your money. I spoke to the manager who was less than concerned. Disappointed. Salt, salt and more salt! On and in everything! Wow! Had the 1/2 rack of ribs and they were pretty dry. Mahgarita was almost too salty to drink. On x mass eve I called in a take out plate simple pasta with chicken a simple easy meal the staff told me 15 minutes so I waited 20 to go there I got there 25 mintues after calling I did not even get help while standing in The main area even after getting 3 or 4 waitress attention it took 20 mintues to even get noticed and then another 15 to get my food I was very dissapointed with the way I was treated 16.01$ for a plate of pasta and a drink not to mention the hour wait and 40 mintues of it was INSIDE THE PLACE read more

The good was the service, excellent margarita and fun tablet with games at the table. My enchiladas were tasty and my son liked his bacon burger. I really wanted to give it 2 stars, because the manager was so nice and took care of our bill. The service was horrible.. Our waitress at first was very pleasant and took our drink order without issue. After we placed our orders for food and apps, that was the end of it all. It took over 35 mins for a burger and a taco salad. Then when the different waitress brought out our food she asked do u need a refill for your drinks?(my cup was empty for over 20mins) we both said yes and sure enough no drinks no waitress.. I also notice I'm eating a bacon cheese burger with no bacon. At this point I am done. I ask the hostess for our waitress..5 mins later a waitress walks by and I finally ask for the manager.. We really had all we could do not to walk out. The manager was nice and gave us $30 dollars in a gift card. But atlas we will never go back... This is why we do not go to chains..I have now gone back to give this 2 stars took my kids to the one in Burlington.. Everything was much better. read more

I never thought the day would come when I'd review a chain restaurant like Chili's. Usually these sorts of restaurants are the same whether you're in New Hampshire, Florida or California. Chili's in Seabrook, NH is exceptional! We usually do take-out. It's usually Susan who works the take-out counter and she's great! She always gets my order right, remembers who I am and gives me top-notch service every time I go there, which is often. Everyone else there seems to be just as good. The food always comes out steaming hot and tasty, plus they don't skimp on the portions. This Chili's is well managed and I HIGHLY recommend it! read more

After a long day we went to Seabrook Chilis. Finally waitress comes over, takes our drink order and never returns! Place had hardly anyone there, late afternoon. Waited 15 minutes, could not find our waitress. Finally asked this 12 yr old that was a greeter if she was ever gonna come back. Clearly she wasn't. We got up and left. Went to a different place, spent $70 and left a $15 tip. Never going there again. Instead of lining up greeters at the door hire some wait staff. read more

The food was ok. I was less impressed with the atmosphere. The hostess acted like she was doing us a huge favor seating us. We had a trashy couple across from us (seated with their little kid, no less) were all eff-this and eff-that. And there was at least one guy who obviously hasn't bathed since 1992. My stomach lurched every time he walked by to use the bathroom. The smell was immense. I know it's Seabrook, but management would be wise to refuse service to people like that. This Chilli's is surprisingly good vs other franchises. Their ribs are so tender that the meat falls right off the bone. The fajita's ingredient of shrimp and steaks are just fresh and delicious. We also liked the southwestern egg rolls for appetizer. I definitely recommend this Chilli's location over other ones. read more

Ordered nachos as an appetizer and both the server and manager made sure we got the full serving of the nachos we ordered as some of the loaded nacho chips fell off the plate in the kitchen. My husband and I have been going to Chili's for about 10 years now, and we are very rarely disappointed. All of the wait staff and the bar staff are consistent, and the turn over rate is very low! Even when we do have an issue, management is immediately on top of it and make sure we are taken care of. this is the second time i have gone in the last few weeks. the service is great in this place. quick , friendly, always checking to see if you need anything. i get the fried chicken sandwich, which tastes quite fresh for a chain restaurant, the fries are more salty than i would like but that is just typical of this sort of place, i still ate them. my godson gets the turkey club and he loves it, says best sandwich he ever had. we got desert last time some type of choc. thunder cake with choc. sauce and ice cream, that was great also. i cant stress enough how nice and attentive these people are for an inexpensive restaurant. definitely get your money's worth. my server tonight was cathy. read more
