A menu from Santiago's restaurant features Mexican dishes such as tacos, quesadillas, and burritos, with detailed descriptions of ingredients.

Our first time trying Santiago's and we thought it was good. The room is nice and comfortable and we had fast and friendly service from our waitress and the kitchen. This is a simple menu and seemingly most everybody in the restaurant seemed to be ordering tacos. We tried the steak, chicken and fish tacos. We thought the steak was the strongest, followed by the fish taco. Portion was generous, especially for the modest price. The sides of rice and beans were small, and frankly not very flavorful. Oddly, no chips and salsa were offered, nor could they be purchased on the menu. We did see fresh made guacamole offered on the menu, but it was served with pita chips, and while I love pita chips, I don't think I would want them with guac. They do offer garlic bread, which makes me think Italian and not tacos. So there are certainly some quirks in this menu. I also had the house margarita which was not bad, but not exactly what was expected based on the ingredients listed on the menu. It seemed to be made with some kind of a sour mix, as it was served with a foamy top, usually an indicator of a mix. Overall we enjoyed our dinner, and would try this place again, despite the couple of things we felt odd with the menu.

Grilled shrimp quesadilla - A colorful plate features a grilled quesadilla, black bean salad with green onions, fresh salsa, and a side of sour cream.

My husband and I had an early dinner last night, finding a full, jovial bar and no other diners, so we had the full attention of our server. The sangria I ordered was ok, a bit watered down tasting, I'd pass on it next time. We enjoyed the wicked shrimp special appetizer, on a bed of a smoky sauce that had just the right amount of heat. Husband had the taco combo, with fish and chicken, which came with a saffron rice and black beans. I had a grilled shrimp quesadilla, which also came with a side of beans. Our meals were tasty and fresh, and presented well. Although it feels like a very relaxed bar atmosphere, Santiago's food is not the usual bar food, nor is it the usual Mexican. Sometimes they have seafood paella as a special, and that is super good, I just wish they had it more often. We're glad to have Santiago's just up the road from us.

Paella (tasty, but more like cioppino)

Great little spot. Some dishes may need tweaks, but definitely going back to try more. Wonderful service. Nice happy hour deals. Fresh house margarita!

Queso with fresh pita. Cream cheese like profile with spice. Different, but good. - A red plate holds tortilla chips surrounding a bowl of queso dip topped with green onions and tomatoes, served on a dark wooden table.

Santiago's is a small, friendly, neighborhood restaurant serving Mexican foods. Food is good, service is great, and prices are reasonable.

Amazing food, excellent service, and a price that just can't be beat! Our favorite taco spot on the seacoast!

Man I so wanted to like this place, but frankly the food was at best mediocre and the hygiene was questionable at best.

Very family friendly- my daughter brings her kids here to see the farm animals. My sister enjoyed Lox Toast. I had the Korean BBQ Wings, as did one of my friends on the recommendation of Erica, our server. Delicious! Of course, we had some of their delicious brews. My sister did some samples and loved them all-Big Galoot Grapefruit, Rule the Roost, Ninja of the North & Hank's Pale Ale. I had a Cheek Squeezer which was very puckery and a Vanilla Stout #3 which was yummy. We had excellent service and were not rushed at all. Recommended without hesitation.

On weekends they open earlier so we popped in for some beers and an app. Very nice outdoor and indoor space, I LOVE that they had dark beers and not just IPAs like many breweries these days, particularly in the summer. We sat at the bar (as per usual for us) and service was fast and friendly. No complaints! I wish we had gone for lunch or dinner because the food coming out looked great. We got the onion dip to help the beers go down and that was fantastic. They grow all sorts of veggies on the premesis and they source local cheese/ingredients so it's a nice concept. My only complaint is that there were several signs outside and inside saying to wait for the host to be seated and we waited a LONG time and then she said oh you can just sit at the bar. So, maybe put that on one of the signs? Usually the bar is seat yourself but when there are multiple signs as you walk up saying to speak to the host before sitting - idk I'm gonna speak to the host. I'm a rule follower. Not enough to turn me off, we will likely be back!
