We chose to sit at the bar. A basket of tortilla chips and salsa was brought and we ordered beverages. We sat and chatted for a couple of hours. The restaurant was mostly empty during our visit with a few lunch diners still in house who left during our stay. Once we had drinks, the bartender was not in sight. They did come by once to ask if we would like to order another beverage. Our pre-paid parking time was running out and we needed to run. Could not find our bartender. We sorted that out and were able to get back to our cars as the parking maid was making the rounds. Portsmouth does not mess around with paid parking! The interior is festive Mexican. There were a couple of empty tables so not sure why we couldn't sit outside?? But she then says "oh, I found you a table!" lol Service took forever....soooooooo SLOW it was painful. It was busy & I saw @ least 3 servers and peeps running out food. Our waitress was very nice, Sophie but the wait for EVERYTHING was torture. Menus, silverware & chips and salsa did come out quickly but we weren't there to eat. Their salsa was horrible, it was sooo thin & tasted like a cheap spaghetti sauce or like a can of tomatoes puréed. Thumbs down for that. Our soft serve margaritas were super cute & colorful but also really, really small & for $13 not worth the $$$$. Those took forever to come out. She brought 2 out @ first & we had to wait for the machine to make more to get the other 2. It didn't taste like a margarita but tasted like an italian ice, a very sour one. This isn't on the menu, you have to ask for it. We ventured off to another Mexican bar to try their's out which was huge, creamy & tasted like a Margarita. We spent way more time in this place than we wanted to due to the very slow service. I doubt I will be back here to even try out their food, sorry guys......maybe inside the service may have been quicker?

The staff was very nice and our foods came out pretty quick, while you wait you are served chips and salsa, their salsa was so good! We ordered the following: - empanadas (chicken, beef, & pork) My favorite was probably the pork and cheese one, had the best flavor second is beef. I normally like chicken but was my least fave of the 3. - quesabirrias; Birria tacos w/ consommé + rice & beans So good, great flavor throughout, beef cooked perfectly. Even the refried beans had a great consistency, not overcooked and heavy. - Birria quesadilla w/ consommé + rice + Very cheesy good. The birria consommé was used and dripped into every bite! our meal here was great, felt great, perfect fullness without going overboard! Nice happy ride back down to Boston!

We arrived about an hour before closing & had no issues getting a table for two. Shortly after receiving utensils and the menus, we were given complimentary chips & salsa! The salsa was tasty & has a nice kick to it. I found it very additive to eat with the chips. We ended up ordering these dishes to try: - empanadas (chicken, beef, & pork) - quesabirrias; Birria tacos w/ consommé + rice & beans - Birria quesadilla w/ consommé + rice + salad OMG, everything tasted AMAZING! All of our dishes came PIPING hot, including the consommé dips for the Birria tacos and quesadilla. The quesabirrias were my favorite & star of the show for me. They were perfectly crispy, seasoned well, & I also loved how light (yet still flavorful) the consommé was! This came with rice & beans and let me tell you... I normally don't even eat refried beans but I couldn't help myself today because I find that refried beans can be too thick & sometimes burnt. This was not the case today though! Also paired super well with the rice & a little lime. The Birria quesadilla was yummy. It was loaded with lots of meat & cheese. Great portion sizes! For our appetizer, we ordered one of each empanada protein option they had: one chicken, one beef, and one pork. I didn't have a favorite empanada because honestly they were all really tasty! Full of flavor & came loaded with cheese. I will definitely be back again the next time I'm in Manchester, NH! Service was wonderful, restaurant was clean, & food was perfect. Highly recommend trying El Rincon Zacatecano if you find yourself in the area ;)

We really, really enjoyed everything we ate and that was everything!! Chips and Salsa - added queso, we really enjoyed their chips. The house made chips were salted perfectly and are light and just the right thickness. For my personal tastes, I believe the corn salsa could use a little more cumin or fresh cilantro. The white queso has a nice light bite to it and is very smooth. House Bowl - Think of a burrito bowl without the wrapper. This bowl has a great blend of all its elements within. A slight bite with a mix of great flavors. Peanut Chicken Burrito - I would best describe this as a Thai Peanut Burrito. The blend of flavors was outstanding, I would estimate the burrito to be between 12-16 ounces. Isaac's Burrito - this is a spicy(a decent amount) burrito and we chose chicken. This is a traditional style burrito with what you would expect. We thoroughly enjoyed and ate everything between the two of us. This is a great family business with what appears to be a great business plan. Smaller sized menu so they can do a great job with current selections and they plan to grow the menu as time goes on. Plenty of seating in the dining room which appeared to be about 70-80 seats. Seating in the welcome area with a great amount of parking just outside the front door. There is a sizable area outside that the previous business used as a beer garden. This may or may not be utilized during warmer weather. They have a full bar and a good selection of cold bottled soda.
