Great food, drinks and service. The sauces were excellent. Had the Beef taco's and they were very generous portions.

We were just looking for a Burger King or someplace to eat while waiting for an appointment. We saw an older looking building with a fair number of cars and a sign saying that it had Mexican food. Inside is a long hall as you walk past windows with some sort of machinery. Then modern art Mexican metal sculptures. We were greeted after a short time by a friendly host and taken to the dining room about half tables and the other half bar area. Mexican posters and a large mural of wooden aging barrels for atmosphere. The menu has so many options you could eat for a month and not repeat your exact dish. A large drink and beer selection. We arrived on the earlier side, so it wasn't terribly busy. The music was a bit loud for my preference, making it a bit difficult to have a conversation. I ordered the tres quesadillas plate. What came out was tacos. They were tasty, just not what I was expecting. I'm not sure if they got my order mixed up, or if quesadillas are different from everywhere else. No biggie either way! The food was great starting with the chips and homemade salsa. We got a Cadillac and a grand Marnier margarita. Both were delicious. For dinner we ordered the Mar Y Tierra Molcajete for $34.99. It's says enough for two, but after two baskets of chips, it's enough for three! It is a steaming hot lava rock bowl filled with the most tender marinated grilled steak, grilled chicken, grilled chorizo, grilled shrimp, onions, cactus and melted cheese bubbling as it arrives to your table! And it stays hot! It is served with four tortillas and sides of guacamole, cheese, salsa, beans and rice. Every bite was excellent. We rolled out of there completely satisfied and with a take home box. Our server was pleasant and helpful. The decor and music were spot on the Mexican theme. We are definitely returning. read more

This is the best Mexican restaurant in all of New England!!! The food is amazing, the staff are so sweet. And the drinks are perfect!

Service was excellent, fast and friendly! Good selection of drinks and beers on tap. Carne Asada was cooked perfectly. Molcajete bowl was huge and enough to feed at least two people! Chips were hot and fresh and the salsa was delicious! Ambience is cozy Tex-Mex. The chairs were comfortable and really neat style at the tables! Nice bar and dining area altogether! Flaco's is our new go to restaurant for a late lunch or early supper. The service was excellent! Our waiter was attentive and brought our chips and salsa to our table immediately upon seating. He took our drink orders quickly. My wife and I both ordered steak burritos which were huge and delicious! We took home leftovers. The inside of the restaurant looks very similar to Larry's clam bar from years ago however it's been freshened up with new paint, tile in some areas and excellent Mexican touches along with comfortable seating and funny messages about tequila. First time tonight for anniversary dinner. Went late, hour before closing. Very few people. It's actually impressive that they're open until 10pm every night (11pm weekends). I'm grateful just for that. Restaurant was clean and comfortable, music was culturally appropriate, but not too loud. Service was great. Waiter making sure needs were met and responded quickly to every request. Nice guy... I really liked the upfront chips and dip. I'm not sure what the dip was exactly, but it was really nice. We both had carne asada. Hers was regular, mine was the steak tampiqueña. Both were excellent. The Spanish rice as a side dish was also very good, not treated like a write off. The refried beans were older, end of the day, but still decent. Grilled veg, the little side salad, it was all good. I'm very satisfied with the price to quality/quantity. Free chip refills... Authentic Mexican street tacos, birria, and more! Several margarita choices, great atmosphere, and fun posters on the wall. Service is excellent and the food is even better! I ordered the coconut margarita and it is so so good! I ate the street tacos, al pastor, and they are wonderful. The meat is marinated and nicely spiced and soft. They have queso and beans in them as well, so a bit different than I am used to, but seriously good. So good! My partner got the chicken quesadilla with fries. The fries were beautiful and crispy and seasoned, the quesadilla was filled with chicken, cheese, onions, and was in a huge and well crisped flour tortilla. It was delicious. My sister in law got the chicken tacos and beef tacos. For street tacos, these are big. The pico de gallo is chunky and good. This is the place for tacos if you are ever in the area! read more

Flaco's Mexican Restaurant & Cantina has finally opened their brick & mortar location on NH 125 in Plaistow. They also operate a food truck in this area. They took over the long closed building which once housed Larry's Seafood. The place offers a spacious dining room, bar & lounge with seating up at the full service bar surrounded by tables and booths, colorful murals on the walls, flatscreen TVs above the bar, and digital jukebox. The inside front area features a takeout counter and a mini arcade game area with games of skill (prizes), Hoop Fever, NASCAR global VR, and kids mini rides. At the time of this posting, they were only offering a limited soft opening food menu and a full service bar with 6 draft beers, bottle beers, wine, cocktails, margaritas, and energy drinks. The soft opening offered a selection of tacos, burritos, nachos, quesadillas, empanadas, taquillos, gringas, and wings. They also have a kids menu offering chicken fingers, cheese quesadilla, grilled cheese sandwich, ham & cheese quesadilla with fries or rice & beans. I stopped by Flaco's for dinner recently. The place wasn't too busy early afternoon and I took a seat up at the bar. I requested an ice water and placed my order for the Flacos Nachos ($14.99 plus tax) and Empanadas ($11.99 plus tax). The food came out together in 10 minutes after ordering. The portions on the plates were very generous. The Flacos Nachos had warm crispy corn tortilla chips loaded with flavorful pieces of pastor (marinated pork-my choice of meat), pico de gallo, sour cream, guacamole, jalapenos, pickled spicy peppers & onions, and melted cheese. The 3 Empanadas were filled with steak & cheese in deep fried crispy pastry shells topped with lettuce, pico de gallo, sour cream, spicy onions, grated cheese, and a tangy vinaigrette dressing on the side. I definitely needed a box for half of the food. The check was $29.27 with tax and before tip. Overall, the food was very good and the service was friendly and prompt. A full service Mexican restaurant & bar was definitely needed in this area with the closest ones at least 10 or more minutes away. I will come back to Flacos when their full menu is launched. This used to be my favorite Mexican restaurant. Everything was homemade and very authentic. I didn't mind waiting a little longer for my dinner because I knew everything came out fresh. Lately it seems like they are cutting corners. I always order the grilled chicken street tacos and the past 2 times the chicken was gross. It was rubbery almost like it was parboiled instead of grilled. The sauces they used to serve on the side now come in a prepackaged pouch. It doesn't even taste good. I can say the ambiance did not scream "Mexican" The service was good, male waiter, not very attentive. What saved this experience was the food! My wife's margarita was great too. As everyone knows there is plenty of places that serve Mexican, most are average. When I look at Flacos menu it has different or shall I say more authentic Mexican food. This is what I would look for. I got Agujas Nortenas which is short rib cutlets with rice, beans and salsa. The rice was fresh and warm, delicious. Why wouldn't any Mexican restaurant not have great rice? My wife had chicken enchiladas with queso over them. She enjoyed them too. We recently had lunch at Flaco's Cantina in Plaistow, NH- It was still under their soft opening menu, but the experience was still good. The restaurant is located in the old "Larry's Clam Bar" building- a very familiar local restaurant. The service was good. Most of the servers seem fairly new, but are all very willing to help. The food was fantastic. Those who were familiar with their food truck will be happy that the quality has not changed. We ordered the Street Tacos and they were delicious. The tortillas themselves were homemade and fresh. All in all a great lunch. Looking forward to the release of the full menu! read more

Best Mexican food I've had since Iiving in Arizona! Ritas (Hampstead) and Grande (Plaistow) with thier pre-made, store bought, could care less slop should just close their doors - there's no comparison. Homemade tortilla chips, homemade salsa and guacamole are outstanding. The chicken burrito was huge, tasty and well worth $15. The bar is large, inviting and Loius had a great big smile. Many selections on the menu. Plenty of parking and only 5 mins up Rte125 I look forward to returning. read more

Stopped by today for lunch, and they still had the limited menu going, but what they do have is great so far. I had the chips and salsa/queso to start. Solid salsa with a lot of flavor, and great fresh made chips. I had the Birria tacos and they were great, perfectly made consume for dipping. probably the best tacos ive had in New Hampshire. Even the side of rice was excellent. The interior is pretty cool and they had the mexican tunes going. Service was good but i understand they may need to work out sone kinks. Food was excellent very large portions. Service was top notch. Have been there 4 times and it's been a wonderful experience each time.

First, service was great! We had a very prompt and attentive server, and despite being the first night they rolled out the full menu, he seemed to have all the answers, and if he wasn't sure, he was eager to help and quick to provide an answer. We all ordered margaritas and entrees, and when we asked for chips and salsa, we were told they were available, but for a cost. We acknowledged and ordered regardless: the chips were delicious and fresh, on the thick side, and the salsa/sauce was delicious. I do wish, though, that we received a larger dish of salsa/sauce, it wasn't nearly enough for dipping each chip. Everyone enjoyed their entrees! My only complaint, which is fairly significant considering the price, is that the margaritas were, how shall we say? ... less than potent. I paid $22 for a specialty margarita, and aside of the inverted Grand Marnier nip, it didn't seem like there was much, if any, alcohol in the margarita. Again, $22 for a margarita, I expect it to not only taste great, but give me a decent buzz. All in all, a good experience, the food was very good, but the margaritas are overpriced and don't pack much of a punch. Recommend sticking with bottled beer if you go here. read more

I was very impressed with the seating, service, and food. For an appetizer, we had chips, salsa, and chile con queso, along with a flight of margaritas. That was tasty and fun! My date had the Pollo Con Mole and i had the ' boring street tacos'.. both were very good. We asked about the types of salza they had and they have an in house made salza the is for flavoring, not for loading onto chips. Our waiter said...'be careful!"
