I got sick there routinely so I protested going. However when meme culture brought it back I thought it was overdue that I give them another shot. Well it's better in some ways than I remembered and worse in others. Big Mouth Bites were awful - some of the worst sliders I've ever had. Don't think I'll ever try those again. Mozzarella was extremely cheesy in a way that was overwhelming, in both good and bad ways. Southwest Egg Rolls were forgettable, should've tried something else. Chicken Crispers and fries were dependable solid. Felt classic in their own way. Not extraordinary but good and familiar. Mac & Cheese w/ it was nostalgic. Felt extra cheesy but not SO overwhelming it was like soup. Service here was really great though. And incredibly kind and quick. read more

Came in for a late night bite and honestly was thoroughly impressed with service all around! Food came out quickly and our server was on the ball. Had to go and try the triple dipper and presidente marg before going across the mall to the cinema to see Wicked. We sat at the bar- there was actually a wait for a table so keep that in mind if you are in a time crunch. The fried mozzarella was our favorite of the trio. Came in and there it wasn't busy at all, PLENTY of open tables but for some reason still had to wait 15 minutes to be seated after it took more than 5 minutes to even be greeted. Our waitress was amazing though. The food was good. They had to wash dishes so they had temporary given us a Togo sauce cup for our salsa that came with the chips then they came and swapped it for a dine in sauce cup, honestly I don't care what type of cup my salsa comes in I don't think it was necessary to swap it but whatever. I can only speak for this location because experiences vary with national chain restaurants. This location resembles all locations inside and out. Containing the uniform ambiance created by corporate. The service immediately wiped away the uniform feel of other locations. We were sat immediately and our server was extremely attentive and provided excellent service. I ordered the Bacon Rancher Burger and it didn't disappoint. The burger has two beef patties, bacon, American cheese, sautéed onions, pickles and housemade ranch. The burger was cooked to order. The size of the burger would satisfy even those with a large appetite. There was no shortage of bacon but still not enough to not overwhelm your taste. I opted for fries as my side. A normal serving size of seasoned fries filled the plate. I would return to this location again. read more

I go to Chilis on Freeport Road once a week. I've been doing that for years. When I'm there, I feel like I have come home to a family of friends that care. From the manager Mary Lou, to the servers like Matt., Shemar, Bird, to the greeterss all who welcome me and truly make me feel that they are happy to see me. And that is not just because I am a customer, but they know me they know my habits and from doing this for years, they know a little bit about me and my dog Gabby. The food is delicious, and is always cooked to my liking! I usually get the three for me with a salad, and then the steak and french fries. I also get a small order of the garlic butter to put over my fries and in my corn dish when I get that too. I truly enjoy this meal! And of course I always save room for dessert. I absolutely love your chocolate molten. But being a senior with older teeth, I don't have the ice cream. But they warm it up and it is sheer perfection! I also take my book to read while I eat. This has become a place where I can go to relax., to socialize a bit, and to have me time. I have nothing bad to say about this place nor the people that work there.! in fact I give a shout out of kudos to all the people that do work there and I truly thank them from the bottom of my heart for being so kind, and sweet to me! I definitely think this restaurant and especially the people that work in it deserve some recognition!!! in fact, I am going there tomorrow and already looking forward to it!!! read more

It took 10 minutes for someone to get to us to order, 20-25 minutes to get the food, then out waiter just disappeared, and when I asked for a refill it took 30 minutes. They were also out of ice cream when their main desserts have it, next it took 15+ minutes just for a to go box. Goodness. This place was difficult to endure. Hardly any staff. Slow. We waited to be seated for too long. We were told there was only two cooks and the one "has never fried food before so it would be a while" . we were offered chips and dip (which we were still charged almost $10 for ) . The menu is false advertisement, the food looks so good but tasted so bland and everything was fried with no breading so what came was a greasy mess. Even the ribs seemed like they were fried. No one likes dry crispy ribs. Not to mention there was a hair in my food. I didn't even finish my food. Maybe with some staff this restaurant could offer a better experience and food. 2/10 don't recommend read more

We have been putting off this less than stellar review for some time. A friend and I try to come to monthly to get the new $6 marg flavor, which is always delicious, and continue to have horrible service, no matter the day of the week, time of day, or volume of patrons. Today was a Thursday at around 6 pm, and we waited 30 minutes to get sat, and did not get served our main entree for over an hour after we arrived in the restaurant. Attached are photos of the chilis- as you can see there are about 15+ empty tables, yet no one was being seated and the wait list was 12-15 parties long. So much so, that families with children were sitting at empty booths while still on the waitlist, and elderly couples were having chairs from the empty tables pulled up for them. The restaurant continued to be largely empty throughout our experience, and the experience took 2 hours in and out. The table next to us had found a hair in her food and the server made a HUGE deal of how disgusting it was, even though the party was not trying to make a huge deal, and continued to say the issue was being worked on by the manager, with no known rectification. A server at the bar, who we have also received less than stellar service from before, realized that a beer she had poured for a table was sitting out so long it had gone flat, and we watched her stir the beer rapidly to mimic a fresh pour rather than pour a fresh beer and accept her wrong doing. Overall, if you can avoid this chilis and find another location, you'll probably have a better experience. Our server was very attentive and you could tell that he was disappointed and anxious about the situation in the kitchen and overall restaurant that was out of his control, but I cannot say the same for his co workers. The lemon drop marg is the only reason this has 2 instead of 1 star. read more

Chili's in Waterworks aka Fox Chapel. While the Pittsburgh Mills Mall/Tarentum used to be our favorite Chili's Waterworks has taken that spot. Even when they are busy they provide excellent service. We were here kind of late on a so rare yet so coveted date night and had great service and great food! Filled up between soup and drinks and that I couldn't even finish my Cajun Chicken Pasta!! They were pretty dead the night I took the photos that are with this and so it was nice to kind of have the place to ourselves kind of feel. Now we are dreaming of dining in again! We did just order Togo from them on Mother's Day which I must say everything was spot on and when we got there they were clearly swamped with orders but they did a fantastic job with our order! Whenever I'm looking for food that I know I'll enjoy, I go to my local chilis. Usually it's amazing but the last 3 times I've gone here, the service was awful... I keep coming back because I really like chilis. The first time we had a waitress and she was obviously over worked and stressed and just kept messing up. They were extremely busy and it was understandable. The second time we came, we had her again and the restaurant was much less busy and she still kept messing things up... This final time and where I draw the line and will head over to the local Applebees instead. Our waiter forgot about us??? He just isn't coming over except to bring food. ??????? :( :( We're sitting here waiting for the check, with empty glasses. It's been at least 15 minutes and he hasn't come back with the check or boxes? We're just paying on the kiosk. Currently writing this review staring at our waiter on his phone . :( read more

They said they didn't have mac and cheese then brought it out to the table next to us. They also said they didn't have dr. Pepper, honey chipotle sauce, or boxes. They said they didn't have boxes for our food to go then we watched them bring boxes to 3 different tables. I don't know if it's because we were the only black people in sight but when they said they didn't have boxes they walked away and just scratched their head. Then when we told our actual waiter that they didn't have boxes he said "did they say that" with a smile on his face. It's like they were playing some weird prank. Never again! read more

Last week my order got completely botched, it took almost two hours to get, and was inedible when I finally did get it. The manager seemed very nice and offered a full refund, but after several days of waiting, I still don't have the funds. My husband loves Chili's, so despite literally never having a good experience we still go a few times a year. Our first time at this location and it probably won't be our last. It was literally the first time we had a server that was efficient and didn't screw anything up with our order. None of the food is anything exceptional, but you can get a decent value if you do the two for $25 menu. It comes with an appetizer, two entrees and a dessert. I ordered the mango chicken and it was just ok. It was the thinnest chicken breast I'd ever seen. That being said, it had a decent flavor. The rice was a bit dry. My husband had the chicken fajitas and they were awesome. A lot more chicken than I was expecting and a nice flavor. I wish I would have ordered that. The kids got Mac and cheese. It's kind of crazy we paid $6 for Kraft Mac and cheese, but the kids loved it, so I guess that's a win. Overall, I'm not a fan of chili's, but because I know we'll go again, I'll hopefully visit here vs one of the other locations. read more

I'm quite a regular at chilis - they have my favorite ranch and my friend & I enjoy going there when we get together to go shopping. Always enjoy the taste of my food and drinks. The last handful of times have been less than great and this most recent time we were forgotten by our waiter. Between servers acting like we aren't there, our orders being incorrect or being treated as though we were difficult when we were just trying to explain what we wanted - I definitely don't intend to come back to this Chilis location. It would be different if this happened once in a blue moon, but when you get treated poorly 3 times in two weeks - goes to show it's deeper than service level. Not to mention, after waiting around for our server to remember us this most recent time - the manager walked past us twice and also didn't even acknowledge us. Extremely disappointed. read more

We were halfway through our meal when we discovered a MAGGOT in our broccoli and who knows if there was anything in the food we had already ingested. Such a disappointment. I will begin by saying, it is 2:37 and I am indefinitely stuck at work due to our bi-annual inventory. Now this already makes me crabby, but as it got late the boss wants to buy everyone lunch. Great! Where? I suggest Chinese... Five minutes later he comes to me with a takeout menu for Chili's. I guess I was vetoed by everyone else... So I picked the spicy shrimp tacos. It came with 2 sides, black beans and rice. The shrimp tacos were skimpy with the shrimp, and the spice level was more mild than spicy, but the shrimp was cooked ok and my stomach doesn't hurt, so they pass. The beans and rice are another story. Really bland, no flavor. Oh well at least I didn't pay... Well back to work... this is the saddest part of my review... read more
