Love this place. It is perfect for children. The servers are always nice and get us what we need. It was even great when the chilis in Mesa started using consoles where you can order and play games. We had come back down to Tucson and saw that they had not put out the handheld ordering system yet. We thought we were going to Chili's in Oro Valley, AZ. for dinner tonight, but, I guess the server had different ideas. We sat at our table for fifteen minutes and he NEVER even took our order. He asked if we wanted drinks and we responded that we would like water. I guess if one does not order alcoholic beverages, they don't get to eat‼ My husband finally went to the desk and informed someone we had not been attended to and he looked surprised. He immediately went to the back, but after another four minutes of waiting, we'd had it. We got up and left. Nice dinner, right? This isn't the way to encourage people to support a business. I am very disappointed with the service here. This place had the worst service I have ever been too. Totally unprofessional! I had a little conflict with my order and the waitress (who was extremely unprofessional) tried telling me what I said I ordered was wrong! It used to be good,but the service has deteriorated to the point we hesitate to eat there. I often order the bottomless soup and salad that is supposed to come with chips and salsa, but they never show up. Then, when you want more soup or salad, forget about ever seeing a server. You have to grab some employee walking by who may or may not pass the word along or see that I get a refill. The food hasn't changed and is still decent, if salty, but the chances of us returning are slim. read more

This location used to have good, efficient service. In 2017 it tanked fast. The service is super slow. Drinks sit empty. When orders are taken they will eventually arrive. The Ziosk doesn't work for checking out. It's been an instant transformation to awful. The servers are the same gals, but what happened to make this place take a downhill turn? read more

I never like to give low reviews because I realize everyone struggles. My opinion on this restaurant was lower (never at Top of my list) but after yesterday I don't think I'll be back. Ordered off lunch menu and was not great. Asked for avocado chicken sandwhich without pretzel roll and just lettuce. Couldn't do that so I just said no bun. When received the lettuce on plate was old chopped lettuce, tomato was practically frozen and the piece of chicken was half the palm of my hand which is small. Service was slow slow. We've been waiting to get seated for coming up on 25 min. Were told it would be 10, but they couldn't seat a party as large as ours(9). So in the interim they've sat a party of 6 three parties of 2 and 2 parties of 3 all in the same section of the restaurant. I walked in at 4pm on Friday 13th... I stayed at the Holiday Inn Express in Oro Valley, AZ., while on business. The Chili's restaurant located next to the hotel was great. The food was really good, but what put it over the top for me was the customer service. There was a server named Taylor who was very professional, polite, funny and nice to talk to. On my last night I thought I lost my credit card, so I called Chili's and asked them if they could check for me. After approx. 10 minutes I received a call from Taylor and she let me know that she could not find my card anywhere. I thanked her for looking and she took down my information and said if they find it they will let me know and she would send it to me. Taylor went above and beyond and I want them to know how much I appreciated it. I will be back in Arizona next November and I will be going to Chili's. read more

Went to this restaurant on Saturday 7/26/2014. The service was terrible. It took 15 min from the time we sat down to get our drinks. Our waitress took our order and came back 10 min later to ask what was the kids meal we ordered. She got confused because she got our order, didn't write it down, and went to the next table to get their order. We asked her for a spoon, never brought it. And the place wasn't even that packed! I love Chili's, we go every year for my birthday. This year we went for my fiancé's birthday. The reason I give this location one star is because of the service. Our server's name was Victoria. Needless to say, her attitude was very poor and she is the reason we did not buy full meals. When she greeted us we asked if there were any happy hour specials and she replied with "no you should've went to Applebee's." Who the hell says that? I guess she was trying to be funny but it didn't seem that way at all. She also made a comment about "not liking the food at Chili's" and she's "only there to get her bills paid." I ordered a blueberry pineapple margarita, she left for 5 mins to get a beer sample and then came back and asked what it was that I had ordered... I thought she had already put that order in?! If you can't remember our orders, keep a book and write it down! In my opinion, as a restaurant employee, you are the face of the company. If you are working for a company, you do not downtalk that company whatsoever. If we come back to this location I will definitely ask to NOT be in her section. Chili's should find a different server that actually wants to be there and won't downtalk their company. read more

We have been to this chili's at least 1/2 dozen times and have been happy till last night. We always sit in the bar for happy hour. The table we got was sticky, My wife was served a glass of wine in a dirty glass. My fajitas were not sizzling but did have a burnt smell to them, my wife said what is that smell and I said I think it's my fajitas. They had the smallest portion of meat I have ever seen on a fajita order. They forgot to add the guacamole to our nacho order. Considering all the problems we had i would shave to say they have a real management problem at this location. read more

So I ordered on their site, seemed simple until it tried making me, make a chili's account. Then stuff got confusing. I ended up ordering two, to-go orders. I tried calling them two times and no one answered. Since I ordered 2 hours in advance I decided to wait and see if they would catch it. They called to confirm that there was to identical orders. Husband went and picked up food. Now I have never had a problem with the chili's in Phoenix. I was excited to give this a go after living so close to it. The portions were super small and the food was cold. They called us at 550 to tell us food was ready when we put that we'd be there at 6pm. Will I order again. No will I go eat at the restaurant? I went to Chili's often living in Md. where I had the option of Chili's, TGIF, Applebees and Ruby Tuesdays. I recently moved to Oro Valley, AZ and went to Chili's because I is my daughter's favorite restaurant. This was our 3rd visit to this Chili's. I was not eager to go this week because the last 2 visits were just OK, not something I looked forward to. But I went for my daughter. I ordered the combo fajita's at the server's recommendation. The food was inedible. Not just not tasty, couldn't chew it! I have good teeth, but I couldn't break up the steak. I showed the server that I couldn't even rip the steak apart with my hands or cut it into pieces with the knife. I asked if I could have a piece of chicken to replace the steak, the server gladly agreed. She said, "That's been a problem lately." But then out came a piece of unseasoned chicken, after my children were done eating, so I had to take it to go. The server showed me on the receipt where the price of the extra chicken was taken off. (Wow, thank you). Not the price of the fajitas. With so many other choices, we will not be back to Chili's. Also, the video game/ordering tablet is horrible. To set it on the table but tell my children they can't play with it, that's just setting me up. So I let them play a little, but then I'm charged $2 for it? And why did I let them play?? Because the giant screen TV in front of us had ESPN with MMA fights on it!! My daughters were very upset by it. read more

Have eaten here for 4 years until recently. The food was always good until about the last year. The food became hit and miss with the quality. It was to the point we were discussing the meal with the manager that was working regularly. I still love the bar for drinks and the service has never been bad it is just the food quality. If you are looking for a place to have a happy hour beer or watch the game this is a good place for that. If you are looking to eat anything good luck. This store recently renovated from the kitschy theme of past years and into more of a sports bar type of place. Along with flat screens hung to be able to see whatever ESPN (insert version here) is showing to give sports junkies their fix, each table even has a wi-fi console. At first, this seemed to be a function of the going trend in the hospitality business - cater to those who need the comfort of technology in order to coax them out into public to spend their money. But after the last few visits, it would seem the need to have something to entertain the customers is to distract them from the incredibly slow and inept service. This store has been cyclic with service, generally as a function of the overall economy. During the height of Great Recession when even a server's job was better than no job, this place had the pick of the litter and it showed. Service was prompt and professional and what was ordered was actually brought to the table. Now that the overall economy has improved and a less than minimum wage job plus tips is back to being held by young people who have probably hit their career glass ceiling, service is back to mediocre on a good day. Unfortunately, this store has too few good days. It's too bad because the menu has updated from hokey attempts at Tex-Mex, and moved on to trendier fare. But because getting an order to the table before it gets cold, or just getting an order right is more than the serving crew can handle, the new and improved potential is wasted. read more

Placed an online order for pick up - I get there and on the counter sits my food and beverage. I wait and wait and wait for someone to come to the pick up counter while my food gets cold. Server enters and ignores me until I ask if I could please get my food... "there's a pick up girl," said she. "Could you get her please?" Asked I. I wait again - she comes perky as a princess. I'm grumpy cuz my food is getting colder by the moment. Ask to use my reward - she gets manager who cannot apply my reward for whatever mumbled reason. Terrible service, icky, cold food. The food is consistent and I have never had a complaint. Service is just a bit slow but the food is good for the price. I had the loaded potato soup and it was good. Came in to a basically empty restaurant. We sat by the bar, however we walked up to the host and asked the host to move us closer to the bathroom for my mother in law. She sat us at a table and walked away. We waited 25 minutes for someone to come and take our order. We had to get our own menus and own silverware set up. Even a server was seated at a table behind us chit chatting with that table mind you. I work in customer service so I get sometimes things happen; I try to be patient and understanding. However after 15 minutes I went to the host stand just to wait to be acknowledged by anyone. While servers were gathered chit chatting in the back near the kitchen entrance. Not one of them came. Once (who I assumed was) a host, came to the front I told her that we had been waiting a while to be helped and nobody has come by. She said "okay, I'll get your server". I would've appreciated any server even just saying "hello, I'll be with you guys shortly" or the host even getting our drink order. We didn't seat ourselves. After another 10 minutes go by we get up AGAIN to approach the group of servers huddled in the back to say we haven't been helped. None of them offered to help, again we were dismissed. Finally we get service! Hallelujah! Yes, our server was very apologetic and nice. However, I'm surprised no manager came to check on us or try to apologize. Other than an apologetic and then attentive waiter, nothing about this visit will have me returning. Chili's in Oro Valley is a place a have been to on occasion and tell all my customers about their amazing ribs. I hope those I have recommended don't get the same experience.
